Westmont Living

We moved our parents into Westmont in July 2024. Our parents have been extremely happy with their new apartment, the Westmont staff and all of the activities. They have made a lot of new friends, enjoy playing various games, have great exercise sessions every morning and love all the cultural festivities. As their son, I am very happy with how secure and comfortable our parents are. As long as they are happy, we are happy too.

My brother and I and our 94 year old father visited Westmont Culver City separately and jointly as a possible future residence for our father. We all had the same comments. The setting is beautiful, including all the common areas such as the outside patio, the restaurant and the activity room. Very clean and very comfortable. We were invited to a lunch, and the meal was healthy and delicious. Further , the different offerings of individual rooms from studios to one and two bedrooms are very well designed and reasonably priced. The staff are exceptional in that quality time was provided to us along with receiving useful information and responses to our questions. Our father is currently not ready to leave the comfort of his current residence in a condo. This said when he ready to make a move to an independent living or assisted living setting, we all agree that we will go back to Westmont Culver City as our first choice.

Just moved my mom in two days ago. So we don’t have a lot of experience yet but so far my mom and I are both thrilled. I moved my mom from her home of 50 years because she could not take care of herself anymore, including medications and personal care. I checked many places in West Los Angeles and this far and away was our first choice. The facility is brand new, has a beautiful common area living room and dining area, movie theatre, and the apartments are the nicest ones I’ve seen. [name removed] the move-in-coordinator was great helping me with all of the pre-move paperwork and suggesting movers who specialize in assisted living moves. Once here, no kidding every staff member we’ve met has been so amazing and kind and helpful. And the residents keep saying hello and letting us know how happy they are here. I feel a huge sense of relief knowing my mom will be well cared for.

I was extremely reluctant to consider moving from my current home and independent living to an assisted living community. But Westmont of Culver City and the people I met on my tours has made a huge impact on my decision. [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] were all so nice and really understood my needs and listened to what was important. The facility is beautiful, clean, and has a classy vibrancy that makes one want to be there. I’m still a bit nervous, but I know it will work out and I’ll be very happy there!!

My mom loves the place! It feels like you are at a beautiful hotel and everything is taken care of for you. The social activities are truly fun and engaging! The staff is so warm and welcoming and they all work very hard to make sure that the residents are taken care of. Look no further, this is an exceptional place!

This is the best community in the area by far. They have washer and dryers and full kitchens in their units! The building looks beautifully designed and the residents are so happy. During my tour, it was happy hour so they handed me a drink when walking by the bar. This is the place to be. My parents will definitely be moving in when ready. Im in my 40s & wish I could move in now.

Such an amazing experience. The staff was so welcoming and the facilities were outstanding. [name removed] was truly a gem and made everything feel so natural and homey. I would highly recommend coming here and touring but ultimately I feel that anyone would be happy here.

Westmont of Encinitas is a community that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for assisted and or an independent living experience. The staff is extremely welcoming, caring and supportive of each resident from what I experienced while visiting my sister, and the residents seemed extremely happy and content. The food is excellent and there is a variety of choices, and is prepared for every individual need. I’ve had a few meals there and I was thoroughly impressed. I’m sure that I’ve left out a few important things but I would not hesitate to check into Westmont of Encinitas when the time comes for me to do so.

There are so many different activities to attend and I also enjoy the many different personalities I have met so far - Staff is so giving and helpful. The food is also healthful and good. I am grateful that I am able to afford this lifestyle.

Hello, My name is [name removed] and I am a resident of Westmont of Escondido. I am writing to let you know that I am very pleased to have moved in here. Before I compliment the programs here, I would like to compliment the staff. The people that I have worked with are all extremely professional, polite, and friendly. Most of the staff that I deal with seem to care about their jobs and fulfill their responsibilities. The community provides the professional help needed by individual residents such as bathing, dressing, and medication management. We also have three meals included each day in our restaurant style dining room. There have been some changes in the administration. We have a new Executive Director here at Westmont of Escondido. His name is [name removed] and I am seeing improvements in many area’s. Patient care is one thing I really like. There is also a variety of daily activities that fulfill our needs. I am really impressed with the new management.

Recenty, I had a family member move into Westmont of Encinitas. This was a tough decision for our family. From the tour to the moving day, the team including management was spot on. Every detail was thought of for our loved ones happiness and we all felt like part of the Westmont family. The cuisine is five star. The people are welcoming and most of all my family member is getting top notch care and having fun.

The staff and the residents are what make this place wonderful! They are both very caring.

There's a lot of wonderful things that happen naturally here like for instance cleaning the rooms making sure everybody's OK. Food is exceptionally good and the staff are wonderful and always trying to please you you feel at home. You actually even feel rich when you're not but it's a nice place a very nice place and I'd recommend it to anybody and you would feel right at home.

I’m congratulating myself for making a great choice — moving to Westmont of Encinitas for respite care after the operation to repair my fractured hip. The personal care is a 10, the Physical Therapy is a 10, the caregivers are highly professional, kind, and prompt — also a 10 with no exceptions. Then there’s the friendly contact with other residents who go out of their way to welcome newcomers. Women and men with successful careers and/or military service—this group stays connected with the times and ready to enjoy life. Last but far from least is the Westmont of Encinitas kitchen. Most senior facilities brag about their food because it’s the most constant measure of daily satisfaction. But THIS place takes the excellence award. From an inventive French-trained chef and staff be prepared for fluffy omelettes, perfectly cooked entrees & delicious sauces, large portions of tasty vegetables, topped off with the right dessert. All served with a smile — all worthy of the highest score.

Overall very impressed with the facility and staff. Suites were very well appointed and very pleasant. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money. We did eat lunch which was ok. Service in the dining room was excellent. We realize that it is very difficult to please everyone when it comes to food and perhaps it was just our menu item choice on the day of our visit. Would consider The Oaks as very high on our list of choices for my mom.

I have lived at Westment since January 2024 and I am very happy and comfortable here. The interior is very spacious and suited to resident's needs. The staff are uniformly kind, patient and helpful. My room is thoroughly cleaned with bedding laundered weekly. I have made many friends among the other residents. The food is very good and the chef is responsive requests For various meat, Activities, entertainment and the special Celebratory meals are abundant. The new management is absolutely amazing.

Exceeds expectations. Not like the others. Staff very helpful.

My mom didn't believe she used the benefits, so it was too costly for her. I believe, what services and benefits she did use was worthy.

I have been a resident here for 3 years and I am extremely happy with the care and staff at Westmount of Santa Barbara. They take such great care of me. I love the new administrator and activites here. I'm so glad to have this to call my home.

My husband and I moved in together and we absolutely love this place. Mu husband recently passed and the Ed and other staff have become my support system. I really appreciate them and all the care staff. I would not want to be anywhere else but here.
