Our family had an in person tour and it was a very nice community but they only had one bedrooms available and we were looking for two bedrooms

I love this community. It has a wonderfully caring staff. My father appreciates his care. The families are supported with timely communication (I hear directly about my father). This creates a family atmosphere at Mariposa. There are numerous activities for the residents. Thank you Mariposa for my loved one's care.

My dad and his little dog lived at Mariposa for several years. The caregivers and med techs really care for the residents. The activities vary and engage every resident and the food is good. Family activities are planned so that all family members can participate. The management team is great to work with. They communicate with families frequently so that we know what is going on in the community. I get peace of mind knowing that my dad is well taken can of.

This community is very nice and clean. It is only a few years old and has washer and dryers in each unit to make it easier for the residents. They have activities like an indoor pool with water aerobics, chair work out classes and more for the residents to do to stay happy and healthy. They also have bingo.

We chose Westmont Village because of all of the amenities provided and the spacious living area in the apartments. When we walked in it felt more homey rather than institutional. The meals are served restaurant style rather than cafeteria style which we really liked. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

I highly recommend the Mariposa at Elwood Shores. The facility is new and quite lovely. The caregivers are exceptional, and the director is sincerely dedicated to the overall smooth functioning of the environment, activities and individual attention to the residents, and when needed everyone chips in to help out regardless of position whenever help is needed. It’s a very special place.

After finding my father on the floor when he was living by himself, I knew I needed to find a place that would not only be similar to home, but would take his little dog. Mariposa was very welcoming of both him and his dog. The facility is clean and the friendly caregivers really care. It's one of the smaller communities in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area so I know he gets all of the personal care and attention that he needs. There are a variety of activities that he can choose from. Special activities are planned so that family members can participate. The management communicates with family members regularly. He loves living there and I get peace of mind that someone is looking after him 24/7.

My mom looks forward to the music program which 4-5 times a week! Also, the activities keep her actively engaged and she loves the interaction with the UCSB program once a week. She is an artist and enjoys the opportunity to paint weekly. The caring attitudes of those serving the meals, (and she loves the food here), as well as those that work the rooms, makes me know that she is in the right place.

It's a good and acceptable place. It's not cheap though. You have to have some money in the bank to do it. It's attractive and comfortable. My mother is happy there. She gets to go swimming every morning in the swimming pool. They're shorthanded all the time. The staff that are there are good, but there seems to be a lot of turnover, and they have a hard time finding replacements. That's mainly in the dining hall and kitchen. I feel like the staff is stable in other areas like maintenance and administration. The activities are not to her taste. They're geared more towards people who are not as functional as she is.

This community is the best! They not only take care for my loved one but the family as well. They are willing to answer any of my questions here. The staff are kind, and know the residents by name.

I'm very pleased with it. It's so clean and new and modern. It's just he sort of place that my loved one wanted. The staff are very friendly. It's definitely been an adjustment period for her, but it's getting better. There seem to be plenty of activities if you choose to participate.

I'm thrilled. I think they've been great. I like that there's a lot of light. The central area where the Alzheimer's group is located is very warm, and not sterile. It's clean and has a very good vibe. Some of the other places I looked at were dark and depressing. It's such a big difference at Mariposa. They have a great outdoor patio there too. The staff provides excellent care and is very loving. I haven't tried the food expect for the soup, and it was surprisingly good. I think they do a great job with activities and making them memory care appropriate.

The community looks so nice, and is open. The staff respects when the residents want time alone in their rooms. They have a wide variety of activities available. The staff tries to get the residents involved in the activities. They are very inclusive.

My loved one was there for a short amount of time. I would highly recommend them to others for their loved ones. The staff, it being a new community, the clean and fresh smell, and everyone was upbeat are all standouts to me. They were extremely careful during the pandemic, and I appreciate that.

Good place

What I am really impressed with are the people who work there, very kind, helpful and compassionate. The place is also kept clean and food is great.

My Aunt was a resident of Westmont, both in the Assisted Living and Compass Rose sections until her passing. In both sections she received wonderful care and tremendous support from everyone at Westmont. The facility is new and beautiful with so many amenities that supported my Aunt's elderly lifestyle. She really loved her modern apartment and adored her caregivers. My family is also very thankful for the care, support and guidance shown to both my Aunt and our family during her time there and her transition from one section to another. The Westmont team, both administration and care staff, went above and beyond in providing amazing care, services and support to her and our family before, during and after her living there, always with dignity and compassion. We will be eternally grateful for finding such an incredible facility and loving staff, and we highly recommend Westmont to anyone looking for a care center for a family member. Thank you.

My mother is 97 years old. She lives here and I am so happy with this facility. The staff is wonderful with her. I miss her but I know she is being well cared for.

My loved one is well cared for at Mariposa. The staff is caring and I feel that the communication concerning my loved one and myself is excellent, especially during a time when I cannot visit my relative often during this covid season. I am comfortable knowing people are taking care of my relative as well as I would.
