Westminster Communities

As residents of Florida Presbyterian Homes we recommend it highly. We are very active seniors living in a private house on the campus. We are glad we made the decision to move here. We are able to maintain our independence, but have more care available if we need it.

I would absolutely recommend to others... I have already. They have wonderful staff. They have wonderful rehabilitation... Facilities are great

My siblings and I have been very happy with my mom's move to Westminster Woods at Julington Creek. The staff made an effort to meet my mom and us, and they have been very receptive to our comments and take great effort to accommodate my mother's changing moods. The staff alert us to issues related to Mom's care and keep us informed about developing issues. The food is wonderful, and they work with each resident to help them remain able to feed themselves. The apartment is plenty big and accommodates Mom's treasures that help her feel at home.

The food is good, but truthfully, there's too much of it and probably too much waste as a result. I can't believe that these large portion sizes would be approved by a dietitian. Staff has been friendly, but I've not had a chance to check out any activities yet. Apartments are fine; I opted for a smaller size. I have not had housekeeping here yet. I don't know why they've not been yet.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and seem to be attending to my mother in law. I would recommend them to others - the facility is renovated, neat and clean.

My mom is doing great at Westminster Lakeland! They are friendly and caring. I can say that it is hard to get my mom to ask when she needs something. It is a my mom thing. I wish she would push her button more to get any help needed but of course she is super stubborn.

Some staff excellent other staff shouldn't be there. Very little limited activities. Food is very good. Staff is not supervised at an adequately. Too much cell phone use.

The staff are great, the facility is always clean. There are a lot of events they run. Apartment sizes are very generous. Plenty of storage and closet space within the unit. Unfortunately they no longer offer any storage outside each unit.

They need more courtesy people for service in breakfast, lunch and dinner. Treat the patients better.

My loved one is currently a resident at Westminster Palms and the overall experience has been very good for her, so far. The cleanliness is great. The friendliness is beyond great. The care services and the value for cost are okay. I would highly recommend Westminster Palms to others.

You have freedom to go and come as you please. You have to check-in each day by 10:00 if not they come and check on you. I think it's great you can ride to and from dinner. I would go back there if I find myself in need.

The assistant living building doesn't have a kitchen, so their food is prepared across the street and then they have to order what they want the day before. So that is a bit of an issue. Other than that all is good.

This review is long overdue. Chef [name removed] is one of the premier Chefs on Florida’s West Coast. Managing and preparing food for our Alta Marina Restaurant and 1926 Bar, Chef [name removed] menus are creative, inspired and attuned to residents’ requirements. His meal preparation is excellent and the presentation is artful. Chef [name removed] monthly country-themed meals are a wonderful food adventure providing a special food experience for residents. The Alta Marina is fine dining in the most beautiful setting in St. Petersburg. Though understaffed, Chef [name removed] insures maintenance of his high standards for quality even if it requires him to bus tables and serve meals. Thank you, Chef [name removed] for your excellent contribution to our quality of life at the Shores!

The grounds were very well cared for and the views from every location were wonderful. The main clubhouse was very appealing and welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent lunch and the people from Westminster that we met could not have been more pleasant and offered very honest and frank answers to our questions. We saw both apartment and villa units and both were spacious, bright and cheery.

Some of the apartments are a really good size but some are small, I am in a studio and it is pretty tight space. I would recommend Westminster Shores to others.

This is a lovely property with gorgeous grounds. I believe there isn't enough staff due to COVID. The family has to follow up on requests to make sure these are taken care of for our loved one. The grounds are secure for the residents to enjoy the outdoors. There is one meal day provided by the community and there were choices for the residents. There is a full kitchen in the apartment for the residents to utilize, and they had washers and dryers in the room. There is also a communal laundry area for the residents to use.

WWJC did an excellent job getting us through the pandemic. They also excelled at management of evacuation for Hurricane Ian. I am very happy with my four years here as a single woman. I truly live in a beautiful setting.

The tour was great at this community. The community was great but there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one. The tour guide was good and was able to give me all of the information I needed about the community.
