I chose this community because it has everything I need or desire. I am very impressed with the community.

I am very happy at Waltonwood Lake Boone - come Octobder I will have been here 6 years. I love the activities, the movies every weekend and some during the week. We play lots of games, bridge, have a Ladies Tea on Saturday and many meetings for the men. The food is outstanding in the Dining Room, we eat on white tableclothes with linen napkins. We have Happy Hour every Wednesday and can take our wine to our table every night. It's a very friendly place and very much is HOME to me. I can have my children eat in the Dining Room or we have a private Dining Room where we can eat on Special Occasions. I love having lunch on my balcony over- looking our Courtyard - it is beautiful out there. We have housekeeping every other week. And we have a full-time Gym Teacher whom we all love and appreciate. There is a Concierge on duty 24 hours a day to assist us with whatever we might need after hours. This is HOME and I am pleased to be here.

Dad and mom did not live there anymore. My mom did not like living in a facility. But I liked Waltenwood and I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had. Friendly, nice community with lots of services. Indoor pool that my mom wouldn't use. Exercise equipment. Men's club. Euchre club. Mom hated the food. My dad liked food just fine.

I am writing on behalf of my Mother who moved into the Lake Boone Waltonwood (Independent Living) community three months ago. After a lengthy search, touring 12 facilities in the Raleigh area, we settled on Waltonwood-Lake Boone. My Mother could not be happier with her choice. She moved from an IL community in Florida and did not know anyone when she moved in. Since that time, she has made friends and has been welcomed by friendly, caring residents. The ambassador program was an especially nice feature as it created opportunities for my Mother to meet other residents and navigate her new community. My Mother has always been an excellent cook and enjoys high quality food. She has been very pleased with the meals. She has also enjoyed card games, book club, fitness classes, outings, movies, and many other social events. I could not be happier than to have my Mother at Waltonwood!

5 stars for all of them! They are really outstanding. They are very responsive to the needs of the residents. For the memory care unit - they only take 25 people...so the staff to resident ratio is good. That was honestly the biggest factor for us when looking at places initially.

It's been a little over a year since my wife and I moved my 94 year old mother to Waltonwood , We moved to Raleigh from Chicago and combined our move with moving my mother to Raleigh to be close to us. We looked at 5 different lndependent living facilites, having some experience with independent living facilities in Chicago , zeroed in on Waltonwood for the following reasons, the location was within 15 minutes to our new home and approximately 1 1/2 miles to Rex medical center, which was a godsend since Mom needed medical services nine months after moving in. The building is fairly new & well maintained, with continuous cleaning on a daily basis, the facility has an area for outside P.T. and a physical activity gym with classes to keep residents moving. My mother enjoys the arts and crafts class as well as the garden area... while the rent is more than other places we looked at, the attention and friendliness of staff made the move a success with no regrets. I have been a resident here for several years and enjoy it very much. Moving here was a good decision for me. The staff and residents are very friendly, and I enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis. The location is very good for shopping and eating out, as well as convenient for other social activities. The location is very close to Rex Hospital as well as an assortment of other medical offices. I would recommend to anyone who is tired of taking care of things on their own, cooking, home maintenance, and who just want to sit back and enjoy their time among friends.

I am enjoying WaltonWood Lake Boone Independent Living and knowing when and if necessary I can move into Assisted Living and Nursing Care. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. The staff has our best interest at heart and the residents are a fabulous group of interesting, independent people. The cleaning and maintenance crews keep the place spick and span. Transportation is provided for doctor visits and for shopping. We have a choice of our own doctors or using the medical help offered on site. The many interesting and fun activities shared together for bodies and minds help to keep us up and moving. The buffet breakfast and delicious choices for dinner are served in the lovely formal dining room. I think it is a great place for retires and the location is ideal.

I have recommended a number of people. I was very pleased with Waltonwood across the board.

There are always areas that could improve.

This place was a great place to have our parents live as a next step in Independent Living when they can not longer live in their home, but still gives their independence to get out when they would like to. They love the meals and the conversations.

Overall experience was wonderful. Care givers did an e job taking care of my wife for the period of time she was there. The whole experience was excellent. I would recommend waltonwood to anyone who needs this type of care

I moved my mother to Waltonwood from a previous community, and she is thriving there. She participates in their programs and solves problems independently. The staff was very pleasant and answered all questions. They even invited us to lunch to sample the dinning facility. The construction, furniture and features were very contemporary. The facility was very clean and open with a lot of lighting from the outside. The staff is very friendly. However, there are still some things that are outstanding that needs to be done to complete my mothers move in. My mother is independent. Food service is very good. I enjoy dinning with my mother at Waltonwood. There's a lot of activities at Waltonwood. My mother is engaging with the community to attend concerts, fitness programs, and games. A little expensive, but worth it.

My experience at Waltonwood Twelve Oaks has been nothing short of amazing, even though my good friend just moved in a couple of months ago. The residents are welcoming, staff is responsive and helpful, and there is plenty to do. I am happy for my friend and look forward to moving in and joining her.

We would probably go with 5s across the board with a 4 for Value for Cost. One comment: I have only had positive encounters with staff and any dealings they've had with my mother. I have observed, just once, where a staff member was pretty short (downright mean) with another resident. Only happened once, May have just been a bad day, and I don't know who it was, but I just wanted to comment. My family's personal experience has been very positive.

Every aspect was wonderful. Starting with the first phone call requesting information to move in day and beyond. They’ve really helped my Mom settle in and feel at home and put my worries at ease. Highly recommend !

I truly feel that my parents are safe and well cared for at Waltonwood Main. The staff care for them with genuine love and concern daily. My parents LOVE the food and activities. We are also very happy with the new renovations, everything is bright and welcoming.

Living quarters are spacious and quiet on all floors. Staff is works hard and is appreciated by all residents. Staff provides activities, food, exercise classes, day trips to shopping, etc. Many other amenities and services make Waltonwood a good home for many individuals and couples. Residents here in independent living side are very friendly and there's lots of groups that meet for meals and activities, fun, and just to have a great time together.

The facility is a great place for residents who want a warm, friendly environment that offers quality amenities and opportunities for interaction with other residents if so desired. The staff are caring and professional. There are many and varied food choices. The independent living facility manager is the best I have ever encountered. He is easily accessible, open to feedback and always responsive when we have a question or need. He is calm, kind and always professional to the residents, staff and visitors. He goes out of his way to assist residents with any concern or request. He is an excellent communicator and seems particularly skilled interacting with seniors.

The staff has been amazing--very responsive. Looking forward to taking advantage of all that Waltonwood Cherry Hill has to offer in the days to come. I would definitely recommend them to other families, as they're very welcoming.
