Very happy here, made a lot friends , enjoy the various activities and outings. Happy with my courtyard view apartment where I can see hummingbirds visiting in the morning. I would happily recommend Waltonwood Lake Boone!

We had a great experience. We could not have chosen a better end of life situation for my mother. The staff was very caring. The food was amazing. It was a well kept, attractive facility.

My parents have recently moved to Waltonwood Lake Boone Trail, and I could not be more pleased with the decision. The staff and management are so kind, caring and helpful. They go above and beyond to make residents feel like family. Because of this the transition to independent living has been a smooth one for my parents. They love their new home! Resident ambassadors meet with new residents to welcome them and introduce them to current residents. They encourage newcomers to join activities and become a part of the community. The facility is beautiful and very well maintained. There are so many wonderful activities including special events where families are invited. There was recently a "Camp Waltonwood" for grandchildren. It was beautifully decorated and the activities for the children were wonderful. A good time was had by all! I would highly recommend Waltonwood to anyone that is looking for independent living.

Everything has been wonderful. More clarification on the dining rules would be helpful, ie charges if ordering food versus going to dining room.

it is expensive but [name removed] is getting very good care. They need to remember that their loved one can be hard to deal with. 3 of us drop in to see my spouse which also keeps the staff on their toes. Shuffle times when they come.

As a long-time friend/loved one of a resident at Waltonwood Lake Boone IL (WLB) for several months now, I can happily and confidently recommend it to any senior desiring a professional, beautiful, clean, safe and well managed community in the Triangle area. I visit frequently and am always greeted and treated as family by the staff - that's so refreshing! It's also comforting to know my loved one has great neighbors on the hall and is encouraged to participate in the many resident programs/activities offered every day - never a dull moment! And I always enjoy when we're invited to special meals - the food at WLB is awesome. In closing, I'll just say that this family feels fortunate to have our loved one at WLB IL and to know that when the time comes, Waltonwood's AL and MC are available options all on the same campus!! I hope this personal testimony will speak to anyone considering WLB IL as their next home! :)

They were very helpful and attentive with my uncle.... he seem very happy there. The food was decent. He never complained about the food. Yes, I would recommend it if they can afford. It is more expensive than other places

Someone is always on staff. Helpful, communicates quickly back to questions

1. 5, Residents and staff are great which makes for an accepting environment. 2. Cleanliness. 4, The staff does light housekeeping which isn't quite enough. 3. 5, Staff and residents greet each other with hello. 4. Quality of care. I live in independent living. I can use the Waltonwood pendent to summon help. 5. Administrative staff. 5, I noticed loose flashing on the roof, which was repaired immediately. 6. Food. 4, I like the arrangement of eating breakfast and dinner in the dining room. The menu does not accommodate vegetarians, but overall the selections allow for balanced meals. 7. 5, The range of activities is amazing. 8. Value for the Money. 5. Comments for future residents? Being part of a community is important. The staff who organizes activities brings in live entertainment, supports resident activities requests, organizes outings, knows residents well enough to cater to personal interests. They are amazing--polite, accommodating, and smiling. And yes, you can use my name. Advice for potential residents. Do you see people in the common areas? Look at the range of activities from Happy Hour to the Stretch and/or Balance classes. Yes, you have my permission to use my comments. And thank you to the "Find a Place for Mom" people who helped me and our children find Waltonwood.

I can only rate Waltonwood on how moving day went my Mom passed away a day after we moved her in but a 5 for what we experienced very helpful friendly we were really looking forward to a wonderful experience there.

The friendliness of the staff is a 5+. Quality of care was dependent on who was working that day. My mom was left in the dining room a couple of times....they forgot about her. That pissed me off. Also she ordered lunch in and never received it. That made me mad. She was also told by CNA that she had other patients to take care of and could not help my mom--in a bratty way. All these things were addressed to management. For $[removed]K a month I expected better.....but I know the quality of hires can be tricky. There were times my mom could be difficult......but was not abusive to anyone........Management was responsive. For the value for cost - . I guess it was better than being neglected in a nursing home. But I was there every day at different times to make sure stuff was taken care of. My mom also had a visiting nurse and PT come a couple times a week. I would advise anyone who puts a family member in a facility to visit frequently at different times. Overall was satisfied with the care she received. Again...was very dependent on the staff working that day. Sometimes you just got the "A" team. I also want to say that it was my mom's decision to go to assisted living. I know she was angry because she lost her independence so quickly....and she was VERY used to doing what she wanted when she wanted.

5 for all. We love having mom there. They are very good at what they do and very friendly staff all around. I would tell others to get to know the staff that is taking care of your loved one. Interest in them creates more of a connection.

What we like the most about Waltonwood Main is the care the provided was excellent. A special person named [name removed] took special care of my wife. Yes I would recommend this community to other families. The whole staff treated us with respect and were very helpful

The staff are incredibly helpful and take time to get to know each resident and their personalities what they like , what they do not like. They are very engaged from the people serving their meals people who clean their rooms and the people who disperse medication. They make it a point to know every resident and have a great relationship. I know the staff now because they are treating their residence like VIP clients

Waltonwood at Lake Boone is the 4th retirement complex we’ve lived in. Though we don’t consider ourselves to be experts on the subject, we do feel we are very knowledgeable. We’ve learned bigger is not necessarily better. Living amongst 1600 residents stymies developing new friendship as you rarely see the same people at various events. Also, “large” means just that - LARGE” ! Many of the perks, like a drugstore, bank, or restaurants, can be so far away that it is simpler to drive to them than to walk. Waltonwood is a perfect fit in a perfect location . Medical offices and a reputable hospital are minutes away. We realized, due to size, we made more friends here in a month than we did in a year at other places. It feels good to recognize faces everywhere you … What makes Waltonwood truly special is the friendliness of it’s residents and staff alike. It doesn’t take long before you feel you are a part of one big happy family and they all call Waltonwood home.

First and most important, the staff is fantastic. Everyone is friendly, responsive and helpful. I was always confident that my 98 year old mom was safe, comfortable and in great care. All phone calls and needs were tended to very quickly.

Our father had to move to our current town from the hometown where he had spent all his life. The Waltonwood community welcomed him, and staff there did all they could to help him transition. We were always pleased with the responsiveness when we needed an issue addressed. The community is beautiful and offers a multitude of activities for residents to engage. I always recommend Waltonwood to friends whose parents are needing to move somewhere at this stage of life.

My mom and dad like it the most and yes, we would recommend Waltonwood University to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The Walton Woods staff was very helpful - with information, tours, comms on availability and special offers. [name removed] was patient, helpful and not pushy at all. They were all friendly and easy to deal with. This has held true even after my father moved in - so it appear to culture and not simply a sales tactic.
