What we like the most about the community is that the people are very friendly and the dining experience is top notch! There are many opportunities for a variety of activities.

We are looking for a place for our Mother, still probably a few months away but trying to determine the best landing spot for her and have looked at a few places. The Cherry Hill location is super conveniently located near so much and might very well work out. Our tour from [name removed] was excellent, spot on, got to see many of the floor plans and got every question answered.

The manager was very nice and empathetic. She gave an excellent tour of the spotless facility. The apartments are well thought out layouts with high quality amenities. The facility has everything a senior can want.

Extensive menu, pool, cleanliness, activities, location is why my friend picked them.

The overall staff is great and they go the extra mile for the residents. My parents have had complaints about the quality of the food for a long time and it is not getting better. We had to report issues with walkway lights being out multiple times before they were fixed which is a serious safety issue with residents that cannot see well. My parents do not participate in a lot of the activities but they seem to be well planned and organized. They have made good friends and overall are happy.

The staff is very much involved in all areas and know residents by name and are available to us. Activities are scheduled for everyday of the week covering all levels of interest. Physical exercise, independent or class, pool available 5 days a week, music , discussion, reading, puzzles, needle work, lectures, travel. We can suggest activities, travel, etc to be added to schedule.

I can't answer the food or activities because I don't have that information. I haven't tasted anything and wasn't there to see if she ate. I didn't witness any activities besides movie/music time. I don't have information on general cost of care so I don't know how to score value for the money

The staff have been very helpful in getting mom settled. It was extremely emotional. Other facilities like to bash Waltonwood University as being an old facility. Yes it's 35 years old but it has mature shade trees and established courtyard gardens

My 97-year-old widowed mother has found such a wonderful home at Waltonwood. We looked at several independent living communities; none can compare to the warmth, care, and sense of community here. From the staff to the residents, everyone is welcoming and supportive. My mom enjoys her meals, social activities, and daily companionship, which makes all the difference at this stage of life. The team ensures she is well cared for while encouraging her independence. As her daughter, I know she is safe, happy, and surrounded by people who genuinely care. Waltonwood is more than just a residence—it’s a community, and I couldn’t imagine a better place for my mom to call home.

I came here because my husband died unexpectedly. We had discussed making the move together. I am happy to be here among a group of friendly people. Every staff member I have spoken to has been nice and helpful. I enjoy the food, eating with the friends I’ve made, and the waitstaff is friendly too. I am also starting to take advantage of the numerous activities available. Overall, I am happy; this was the right move.

It's a really nice place. The staff is awesome. I would recommend, because of the great care of the staff and administration.

My best experience was when we walked through the front door and was greeted by a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were amazing and EXTREMELY helpful. As we toured the building, people were out and about with smiles on their faces. Very willing to chit chat and give us their experiences of living there. We cannot say enough good things about the atmosphere and the friendly faces we were greeted with. We were also very pleased with the dining experiences on a daily basis

They have been very understanding and easy to work with relative to my Mom. I would definitely recommend Waltonwood to others. They definitely care about their residents...and their families.

It's been a amazing experience. The staff has been very supportive / accommodating. The activities are set up to accommodate persons with various ailments. The dining has been excellent. They offer a large variety of options, not to mention healthy options.

Very happy here, made a lot friends , enjoy the various activities and outings. Happy with my courtyard view apartment where I can see hummingbirds visiting in the morning. I would happily recommend Waltonwood Lake Boone!

We had a great experience. We could not have chosen a better end of life situation for my mother. The staff was very caring. The food was amazing. It was a well kept, attractive facility.

My parents have recently moved to Waltonwood Lake Boone Trail, and I could not be more pleased with the decision. The staff and management are so kind, caring and helpful. They go above and beyond to make residents feel like family. Because of this the transition to independent living has been a smooth one for my parents. They love their new home! Resident ambassadors meet with new residents to welcome them and introduce them to current residents. They encourage newcomers to join activities and become a part of the community. The facility is beautiful and very well maintained. There are so many wonderful activities including special events where families are invited. There was recently a "Camp Waltonwood" for grandchildren. It was beautifully decorated and the activities for the children were wonderful. A good time was had by all! I would highly recommend Waltonwood to anyone that is looking for independent living.

Everything has been wonderful. More clarification on the dining rules would be helpful, ie charges if ordering food versus going to dining room.

it is expensive but [name removed] is getting very good care. They need to remember that their loved one can be hard to deal with. 3 of us drop in to see my spouse which also keeps the staff on their toes. Shuffle times when they come.

As a long-time friend/loved one of a resident at Waltonwood Lake Boone IL (WLB) for several months now, I can happily and confidently recommend it to any senior desiring a professional, beautiful, clean, safe and well managed community in the Triangle area. I visit frequently and am always greeted and treated as family by the staff - that's so refreshing! It's also comforting to know my loved one has great neighbors on the hall and is encouraged to participate in the many resident programs/activities offered every day - never a dull moment! And I always enjoy when we're invited to special meals - the food at WLB is awesome. In closing, I'll just say that this family feels fortunate to have our loved one at WLB IL and to know that when the time comes, Waltonwood's AL and MC are available options all on the same campus!! I hope this personal testimony will speak to anyone considering WLB IL as their next home! :)
