The food is not consistent, it is great one day and bad the next. The rooms are excellent, they are nice, spacious and secure. However, at the moment due to the high turnover rate we would not recommend this community.

This place was ok, but the apartment layouts are not good. They have wasted space in the 'kitchen' area that should be devoted to floor space in the sitting room. This holds true for both the one bedroom and studio models.

Beautiful. Clean. Warm. Friendly. I loved the architecture and floor plans. Dining areas were nice and well thought out. I like the workout room - but are 2 treadmills enough? Cons: location - my parents feel it’s a bit too far from Clairmont Rd where their church is and too far from Gwinnett Medical and their doctors. Not very scenic. My mom loves gardens and trees - if you stand outside the bungalow and cottages, you can hear the GA 400 traffic wizzing by on the other side of a thin boundary of trees!

It's still a construction site; looks like it will be a very nice facility, but it is sandwiched between the highway and a major road, with no additional acreage for trails or nature. Layouts/floor plans seem well thought out, but square footage maxes out at 1400 for villas.

The overall experience is good, however the sales staff and the medical staff are not always on the same page. Be careful with your loved one if they need anything more than basic care. The facility is not designed for anything more, and the staff is not trained to handle any more than basic care. Contact the regional nurse in charge of the facility and advise them of medical conditions, and there should be a better advice on whether the facility can care for your loved one.

Corso is beautiful on the outside but lacking in service on the inside. On my first day I fell and waited 45 minutes for help getting up off the floor. Also the first day someone brought me a tray of my medications which I was not signed up for. in closer inspection they were not even my medications. Dining room service was often slow due to excessive turnover of staff. They did, however, have a beautifully equipped wellness center and well staffed therapy staff They had a separate cafe as an alternate dining option as well as an ice cream and pastry shop. Additionally they ha a very nice theatre . caregivers were not anxious to help with showers and were usually on personal phone calls when the should have been more attentive. to the person they were supposed to be helping . If staffing would be properly trained (or just trained at all)) it could be an outstanding facility. it’s mixed living (independent and assisted).Independent residents would probably feel differently.

This place looks nice and all the staff are nice, but I suspect that the parent company is sucking the lifeblood out of the place. The staff are probably underpaid and therefore there's a high turnover. The food is hit or miss and subpar and I would worry for the health of any senior person living there eating the food there. Seniors are the most vulnerable and need a healthy diet and fresh vegetables and fruits are just not as available to see, and you can't eat there as a guest you have to eat in the "bistro" area. They obviously don't want strangers seeing how poorly run the dining hall is. I blame the parent company for this. They need to hire and pay dining hall staff and work on improving the quality of the food service. The staff are all wonderful hard working people but they don't get the support they need to take care of the people there.

They sold us on Village Park of Alpharetta being optimal for Assisted Living because of the integration with Independent Living, but there is a huge lack of support for those in Assisted Living units. The Assisted Living add-ons, like medication management, are inconsistently administered and are not tailored to the individual needs of each resident, which is a huge issue when you have a loved one with a condition like dementia. They are short staffed and I'm surprised at how little they pay the support staff taking care of the residents, especially considering how much it costs to live there. There is also a huge issue with communication between staff as well as with the POA/caregiver for Assisted Living residents. I spend so much time tracking people down to understand what is going on. The staff acts like my inquiries are an inconvenience to them and that I'm asking for too much, when my main asks are for them to do the tasks we're paying for. We're considering moving my loved one after just a short time at this community because of how detrimental it has already been to their health. This is essentially an apartment complex. I would not recommend Village Park of Alpharetta to someone in Assisted Living or Memory Care, or to someone who will potentially need these in the future.

It was great as an independent living facility - but once my mother need extra help, they failed. I saved pictures of the dust and mold that has accumulated in her apartment (she has macular degeneration and couldn’t see it herself) - a caregiver actually made her come to the hallway at midnight to take her medicines (after being released from the hospital) because the caregiver was afraid of her cat ……. So many stories - had to move her home because I couldn’t trust them anymore- corporate spends more time on Alpharetta than Peachtree Corners. Too many other options in the area ! .

This community was understaffed My loved one did not get to participate in the activities but the clander looked really full with things for them to do. The community is pretty, and the apartments are pretty but they are understaffed and not ready to call themselves an assisted living community. If you want to live independent then this is the place but for this amount of money and the care that is missing it is not it.

My father was admitted into Brookdale rehab . While he was functional, he was weak and needed assistance. I was amazed at this facility and not in a good way. The building itself is worn and showing age. The lighting is absolutely depressing, the walls need new paint and the overall atmosphere will do nothing for a patient's spirits. While my father benefitted from his physical therapy there , the rest of the experience was not good at all. I was constantly having to call directly to the nurse's station for basic things like taking him to the bathroom, helping him get dressed etc..... There is no communication whatsoever. Never once talked to the doctor even though I repeatedly asked for doctor to call and update me. I was FINALLY able to get my father BACK to the hospital after repeated pleas. And once he was admitted back to the hospital, the social worker at Brookdale called me to discuss his care plan & had absolutely no idea that he had been readmitted to hospital.

The community was clean. They had a tendency to lose sight of the residents needs once they are actually moved in. The food and activities were good. It was a better fit for those who are more mobile and steady as they had a lot of exposed roots outside so there was some fall risk we saw there.

Good evening! This is a new facility that is opening during a pandemic. I do not want to sound critical but I have 28 years of BSN, RN experience. I have worked in sub-acute/long term care facilities in the past. I currently work at a University Hospital in Atlanta. I like bullet points so this is my list: CONS: *[date removed] My parents are allowed to move their belongings into their apartment. The movers, are accosted by the Director, [name removed], that the luggage cart they are using cost $1000 and DO NOT USE it to move furniture. I TOTALLY AGREE....but the way you talk to people is important. I personally felt embarrassed as she spoke to the movers in a condescending tone. *[date removed] Prior to moving in my Mother asked two different people on two different occasions what should they do about their two dogs during their five day quarantine after moving in. They could not get an answer "as no one had asked that question before". So they moved in Monday, [date removed] at 1:00 p.m. only for me to get a text later that afternoon, from my Mother, asking where they could board their dogs as they could not leave their room. Needless to say I went after work to pick up their dogs (I live in an apartment that only allows 2 dogs and I already have one) and take them home with me. When I arrived at VPM to pick the dogs up I was informed that my parents would not be allowed to leave the facility until [date removed]. I replied that I was pretty sure my Mother did not know that. When administration asked my Mom if she knew that she replied "no I did not". The conversation went on...only to discover that my BOTH my parents have doctors appointments on [date removed]. We learned that they would have to quarantine again for five days, no instructions on dog care or repeat COVID testing. *[date removed] My parents are scheduled to be re-tested for Covid. The director, [name removed], reports that the kits they received had blood and hair on them. I will be asking Tuesday [date removed] "who is their supply chain, do you have pictures or documentation" supporting your claim. I have my own thoughts but I will spare you at this time. End result...my parents are not re-tested as the Director refused the kits (Thank you Jesus)! *[date removed] My Mom texts me that they got their repeat Covid testing this a.m. My Mom informs staff that she needs a prescription picked up, since they cannot leave their room. Apparently disgruntled Director [name removed] informs staff that this cannot be a habit. Hello [name removed], they cannot LEAVE THEIR ROOM. Pretend they do not have anyone living local or look at their records and CALL their EMERGENCY CONTACT to see if they can pick up the prescription!!!!!!! My parents report that "staff" is friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Food is good! Had some repair issues upon removal but facility, overall, is BEAUTIFUL!

Family member there during coronavirus and no communication after calling 4 times. I am a NP in large upstate hospital and we are calling family members about their love ones daily. Surprised with me being a provider no provider would call me. Terrible communication. Lots of problems with this facility. Physical therapy was good but that’s about it. Would not recommend this rehab facility.

I have not had the best experience with this community. They need to improve their billing system. I had a set rate for my mother when she first moved into this community, but as time as gone one her price keeping raising every month. When I brought this to their attentions, they were not very good at handling the problem. If this continues I will have too consider a new community for my mother.

Beautiful cottage/house however smoking is frowned upon so not a good fit. The 2 bedroom apt bedrooms are very small. The memory care area is in the basement and has a separate entrance like they are hiding these residents.

Extremely disappointed after moving in and discovering management company that runs Village Park is far more interested in increasing revenue than actually caring about the current residents. Local management (including Executive Director) have to get approval from Corporate office before addressing even minor issues. Maintenance is understaffed and extremely slow to respond to simple requests like changing air filters. Security is nonexistent. They have opted to leave security gates open day & night for construction crews to build more housing. If the residents who live in the independent housing are treated this way, makes you wonder what they’re doing for the people who require assisted and memory care accommodations. Way overpriced for what you get!
