My only complaint, if you can call it that, is maintenance. Getting someone to come over to the condo/apartment to fix things is difficult. Yes, I would recommend The Chapel Hill community to other families.

Great option for Independent Living

My mom is in independent living, so a lot of that isn't a factor. The condos are spacious and definitely made leaving her home of nearly 60 years less of a trauma. She's still active on her life outside Chapel Hill so she doesn't do a ton there, but seems to enjoy the meals and the people she's met. Unfortunately they dint seem to be able to keep an activities person on staff for the Independent Living people so that makes it more challenging to get integrated into the community. There is an activities director but he's in grad school, inexperienced and so the schedule is not very active or fulfilling so you can adapt that accordingly. Also there are some complaints about a slow response time for maintenance issues.

She really likes where she ended up at. We just felt hounded with the calls before we could even get home from the tours. My mother really likes it there.

Grateful for Trinity Community of Beavercreek

My father lived at Trinity Community for 3 years, both in assisted living and memory care. We chose Trinity for multiple reasons: 1. The positive perspectives of friends who live there and friends whose parents lived there 2. We knew he would never have to leave, since Trinity accommodates every level of care and also works with you through the Medicaid process if funds run out. 3. Many of their staff have been there a long time. 4. During my initial visit I did not notice any strong urine smells, which was not true of other facilities that I had visited. We are thankful for Trinity because: 1. Over the years, many staff mentioned to me that they loved my dad and that brought me confidence of their care for him 2. The physical & occupational therapy staff were fantastic! Dad loved his time with them. 3. During his last days, his nurses and care staff WANTED to be the ones to care for him, and they did so with such kindness and sensitivity, not only to dad, but our whole family!

Trinity Beavercreek- super friendly and attentive

My loved one moved into independent living at Trinity Beavercreek. The move was smooth and everyone quite friendly. She then had a fall that required rehab. She had effective therapy and returned to assisted living. Trinity coordinated with all care teams during the transition to assisted living.

Our family experience has been enjoyable and we would highly recommend the community for residents that want.....

My father is living at the community and I am very happy. It makes me feel relaxed to know where he is and that he's being taken care of! I did not do all 5s because my father feels lonely. Which I think is an issue he has not that the staff can help. I wish their were more activities he was interested in but I'm not sure if he voiced what he enjoys. But they definitely have a variety! The meals are decent it's helped him get in better shape! I know they need to please the masses so having common foods is most likely best but maybe more options would be good but I think they do a great job preparing what they provide. The price is okay. He is definitely getting a good deal based off living alone and it takes care of the stress of him being independent but helping him achieve his needs. The year price change was bumped up by [fee removed] a month as well as going to yearly leases instead of month to month. I am still very happy with our choice and wouldn't change it. I appreciate a place for mom finding it for us. Thank you! Our family experience has been enjoyable and we would highly recommend the community for residents that want independent living but also need basic assistance!

Review for Trinity at Fairborn

The food at Trinity of Fairborn depended on the season as the menu changed but it was decent. My mom was in rehab once and assisted living. The care given was very good. So far my parents have had a good experience. The Polaris seems to have a lot of turnover in staff, but that is probably due to the crap economy in the US. The meals are very good from what I hear and the price seems to be very reasonable. We have had a very good experience. Good management, and it is a really nice facility.

Very nice place.

Glenwood Community is such a nice place. The main problem we have is that there is no one person liaison to ask questions- so we have talk to many different folks and get different answers. But I think it's the best place in the area for assisted living. Get all the information before move-in, as each facility has different charges and rules.

Slow response to answering call alert bell to meet tenant's need. Need descriptions of what activities are when the tenant is new to Glenwood, so they can determine if the activity is something they are interested in. To have a meal with my Mom was $16.00 for a half of a sandwich and a small serving of cottage cheese. I had water to drink. I won't be ordering food anymore. My Mom has dementia and her laundry is not put away according to seasons which I have summer and spring in her dresser and fall and winter in her chest of drawers. She isn't able to separate clothes appropriately or find them without a problem. We appreciate the snacks that are brought to Mom each evening but they are accumulating on the counter so either a snack shouldn't be offered or the uneaten items should be discarded. I would think it best not to offer them if the tenants already have plenty so not to be wasteful.

Our tour at The Polaris was very good and very informative. They gave us all the information we needed. We just decided we weren't ready for multiple level apartment living. Also, the rent included three meals a day, which we didn’t really need.

My experience at The Polaris Community

I chose The Polaris Community because they had immediate availability and they had all of the amenities that other places had minus the covered parking for a lesser price. The apartment sizes are adequate. They have units with a washer/dryer (all in one) available but they are not very big and cannot handle larger loads of laundry. They also have single washers and dryers available on each of the floors as well and those can handle the larger loads. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

If You're Looking for Safety and Security for Your Loved One, This Is The Place to Be

This is a great place to be. They are brand new and they are experiencing some growing pains with the meals and dining. The meals aren't not as promised such as five star meals. The taste, selections, and quality need improvement for the meals for the residents. Some of the activities available include: puzzles, painting, and more for the residents to choose from to participate in. The staff communication with the family is great. It would be nice to see the suggestion that the residents be put in place, rather than just hearing the suggestions from them.

Our experience so far

We chose Polaris Community because of the cost. It was also a brand new facility and they had great move in rates and deals. It is very clean and modern and they have great amenities offered. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have a social worker on staff and she is very helpful. They have been having issues with the serving staff and the food apparently has not been very good. They have monthly meetings with the director and the residents have been complaining about it for a while, but no changes have been made yet from what I have heard.
