True Connection Communities

My wife and I have lived at Verena for approx. 1 1/2 years. My review is based on this time and our experience in 2 other Senior Communities prior to Verena. We spent approx. 2 years in each of those communities. Verena is hands above those communities. First of all Management is friendly and honest. The Food is great and kept at a good quality. Cleanliness is maintained in both the Common Areas as well as the Apartments. Being bored is a choice the resident makes because there are many scheduled activities to choose from daily. Maintenance does a great job keeping the place updated. Why wouldn't we like it?

I have been a resident of Bloomfield for a year and a half and I have never regretted my decision. I was made welcome by the residents and it has been a comfortable home. I have made many new friends and have enjoyed all the many activities.

The counselors were very caring and attentive. I had several requirements in my search for the perfect apartment community and was sent to only those that met my requirements. I was very satisfied with their services.

Good facilities with fantastic staff. Services provided fit the bill. Entertainment and activities abound. Plenty to do and good food. It feels like home. The staff exudes caring and seem to enjoy their roles here.

Let’s start off with the facility, it’s like a five star hotel. The updates of the facility look great without having impact on the residents is something you don’t find often. In the dining room they have amazing food, and so many choices for every type of palate. From the staff in the kitchen to the waitresses and waiters they go above and beyond. Knowing what each resident likes, and know each resident by name. The cleaning crew at the facility are top-notch. They do a great job cleaning and taking care of our loved one’s residence as if it was their own. The front desk employees are helpful and extremely friendly. You’re greeted at the door as if your family. The amount of activities that are provided are fun and enticing. The new addition is the bistro and the food is amazing and the staff is also friendly and helpful. The maintenance department is handy, fast to react and well knowledged . Because of this staff, I know my loved one is safe and cared for.

There are so many things about Verena that I love but since it's Christmas here are some of the fun things that have been happening: Christmas Concert by Campo Verde High School Students; Christmas Carol Sing Along with Toni; Burton Family Holiday Concert; Ugly Sweater Contest; Verena Voices Christmas Concert; Excursion to "A Christmas Carol" Play and Barleens "Home for the Holidays" Dinner Theater plus the building is all decked out in beautiful Christmas decorations for everyone to enjoy. These are just some of the fun activities for December. Every month in the year is filled with activities for the residents to enjoy. Life is Good at Verena at Gilbert!

My mom moved in after much hesitation. She did not want to live in a community at all. She was invited to come for lunch and an event. She sat at a table of 4 ladies. The ladies told her the things they enjoy about Arbour Square including the food, the activities, the walking trails. My mom decided to give it a try and now she loves it here. She goes to the fitness center every morning. She especially enjoys the entertainers that come, musical and the historian. She has joined the book club, volunteers in the thrift store and is learning to play bridge. She's making so many friends and has even said she's glad we pushed her to try out Arbour Square.

The place is nothing short of wonderful, very clean, spacious rooms. Feels like a luxury resort/hotel. Heather is wonderful to work with as well very knowledgeable and friendly. Great all-around experience. Highly recommend.

Love it, Love it, LOVE IT! No need to cook, food is excellent and plentiful. Great location, close to shopping, restaurants, easy access to free way, and local access roads. Staff are amazingly & helpful. Plenty of activities to keep you as busy as you wish. Or, you can be a homebody if you choose. Come join us!!!!!

Living at Arbour Square is like going on an all expense paid vacation that never ends! There are numerous activities, gourmet meals and special events. It's easy living. I'm out of superlatives so why not come and visit. See it for yourself.

Our mom was a resident at Pine Ridge of Plumbrook for six years and would still be there if it wasn’t for her loss of memory. The facility was recently renovated and the decor is beautiful. The meals are excellent, well balanced, planned and prepared by the best Chef of any facility in this area. The entire staff is friendly, attentive and dedicated to the well being of its residents. When the time comes, and it will someday, I would love to call Pine Ridge of Plumbrook home!!

When I came here, I felt safe and comfortable in my apartment, but the food was unremarkable and food service was poor. There was a problem getting and keeping enough reliable employees. But senior staff stepped up and worked overtime for months to help serve us until they found reliable employees. Along the way management listened to our complaints and suggestions and made suitable changes when possible. Now the food is very good and served hot and timely. And best of all service hours have doubled so I can eat when I’m hungry instead of taking a carry-out to eat later.

When we drive through the gates we sigh with relief. We ARE HOME! This community is the most caring and friendly community that we have ever lived in. When someone needs help the community comes together to assist in any way they can. We are a family of friends and neighbors. We laugh together, we cry together and we pray together. It is truly the place to be.

I moved into Verena 4 years ago and am very glad I did. Our caring staff work together to keep us safe, comfortable, and happy. It’s like you have an extended family available every day. Great food, exercise gym, swimming pool, and gardening if you are interested. You can choose to play cards, dance, paint, numerous crafts, watch movies, read, and sing. Our location is very convenient to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and excellent medical care. Transitioning from a home can be challenging for some. Our carefully chosen team at Verena do their best to make it smooth and welcoming.

Generally, very friendly and caring people live here. It is easy to get to know people, though I tend to be a hermit as I age. Lots of activities and a great staff. Care is taken to keep grounds and pools in good condition

Verena is a great place for those of us who want a homelike atmosphere without having to do all the cooking yourself. Staff is very friendly. Lots of activities so you can be as active as you would like. Food is very good. I lived at another independent living community before I moved here. I know what other communities can be like! Verena keeps me active and happy!!

There is always something to do here. If you’re bored it’s your own fault. The residents are friendly and the staff knows everyone by name!! This is a place that you are proud to call home. I’ve heard someone who was visiting say it’s like a cruise ship on land. Come join us, you’ll love it.

This community is fantastic. It is super clean, and the staff here are top-notch. Always kind and helpful, they go above and beyond to make the residents feel at home. There's never a dull moment with so many fun things. The best part is the food!

Verena at Gilbert has everything you could ask for in an independent living community. It has a very friendly and professional staff plus all the actives you could ask for to keep your mind and body feeling young. Everything is included with your rent, no hidden surprise, a fun filled atmosphere to enjoy life to its fullest. It was the best move my wife and I made.

We have lived in the community for almost eight years. The administration and staff are excellent. They are responsive to issues and concerns of residents. There are multiple activities weeks so there is something for everyone. We are extremely happy and would gladly recommend living at Parc Place to anyone.
