Our experience under the previous ownership was 4. We can't really speak to the current ownership since most of the staff changed. The main complaint we had was due to the food quantity and quality.

The facility and care is pretty average. It's not intended to be a high end experience but in my opinion the cost is very good for what is provided. The tenants note that the food is mostly mediocre and the activities are pretty repetitive. Older folks sometimes tend to focus too much on the negatives. I'm more than happy with the level of quality care that my father is receiving.

I am more independent than needing assistance, and self administer my own meds, so my contact with staff has been limited. The staff are very friendly and most seem to really care about the residents. Most like the activities, but I only enjoy the live entertainment that comes in and the outings to local restaurants and stores. The food for the most part has been good. Some rooms are equipped with a dorm fridge and microwave, or you can bring your own. There are several size rooms which are good sized, and some open to a courtyard. Each room has a private bathroom, and has its own heat/air conditioner. I'm still adjusting to the move from home but so far I've been happy here.

There was some confusion about the amenities, particularly the transportation system (we were told it could take my parents to church then told it doesn't run on the weekends). The food is hit or miss. The apartment size is generous. They were helpful in the move in process and in resolving issues that have come up since.

The only problem I had was when one of the staff let me dad go with someone he was not supposed to

We toured the facility and mom liked it more than the others we toured. We were able to get her a room right away. Mom has been there almost 3 months now. My brother takes her to the church service every Sunday. She is making friends. She is slowly adjusting to living there.

The tour was on time and professional. The sales director was helpful and comforting to family members. Sales director showed all aspects of level of care and took time to answer any questions from resident and family.

The staff is very kind and yes we would recommend Summerfield Senior Living to other families based on the experience so far.

The director, [name removed], is wonderful to work with during initial rental process. The emergency call light system works very well. Raytown EMS respond very quickly, as does a member of Elliott Place staff in case of emergency. Repairs are slow to get fixed in apartment. New roof replacement completed this summer. Shuttle service is extremely helpful. Could expand social outreach activities for residents. Pet-friendly is a huge plus.

The staff is friendly the food is good but the serving can take one and a half hours due to a serving staff shortage.

The meals provided are very good. The buildings are on tree lined streets. The apt each have a private patio. All apartments are on ground level. They are a little dated but well kept.

What we like the most about the community is the overall cleanliness and the activities they provide residents. Also the friendly staff. location is close to restaurants, shopping, and Pharmacies. Great Birthday celebrations for the residents. Also close to Urgent Care and Emergency services if needed. With EMTs right next door. Yes, we would recommend this community to other

They make strong efforts to keep the entire campus peaceful. There is longevity and consistency in senior onsite staff/management. The facility has private bathrooms and kitchenettes. Few enough residents that staff builds relationship with residents and small staff means staff has deeper relationships and good rapport.

The value for cost gets a 5++. The staff are very friendly and willing to help residents and visitors. All staff including administrative staff seem to know all the residents by name. Staff are "present ". The lobby entrance and front desk area good use some updating. Evergreen takes much better care of their residents and charges much less than other similar facilities in the area. My mother moved to Evergreen in late March from another facility. Other facilities may be more aesthetically pleasing but lack the quality of care provided by Evergreen.

The food is the most complained about, and for what she is paying you would think she could get a warm meal and not so over cooked leather meats. I feel it's a bit overpriced for what they are truly getting. But my mother likes it there and doesn't want to move so maybe it's just me.

Staff takes time to get to know the residents, make sure they head down for meals on time, etc. They are very responsive

Good place compared to many in Lancaster. Automatic air deodorizers are way too much in memory care area. Needs improved communication within management. Head custodian was exemplary.

1. Overall experience so far has been good for my father. (4) 2. Facility is always clean, staff assures any hazards are removed or cleaned up. This facility cleans rooms weekly and wash sheets. Trash is removed daily. (4) 3. Staff has been Great! All are very helpful, will assist with small things. Being an independent living, staff are not the caregivers and family is responsible for all meds, medical etc. Staff communicates well with residents and family. (4) 4. Again this facility is independent living. Residents must be able to care for them selves for the most part. Staff will assist with minor issue. (4) 5. 3 meals a day, snacks and drinks are provided in monthly cost. Menu is provided weekly, alternatives are available for those with allergies or dislikes. Quality is okay, as with any cafeteria type facility, food quality can vary. amount is adequate for seniors. Staff has been great and will accommodate when possible. (3.5) Dinning area is adequate with space to move around.clean and well lighted. 6. A monthly schedule is provided to all residents. Daily activities are scheduled. Physical fitness for seniors, music, dancing, games, walking as well as some transportation for appointment, minor shopping. Staff works hard to keep residents involved if so able. (4) 7. Over all cost is reasonable for what is provided. Again this being a independent living cost is much cheaper that assisted living. (4) This facility I'd staffed 24/7, so we are comfortable with this. Security doors are locked after dark. This is an older facility the Staff keeps facility maintained inside and outside. Overall we are comfortable with this facility. Most residents are friendly and helpful. This will work for now. I know in time my dad will need assistance and will will have to go to an assisted living (AL) facility. This is the stop-gap and allows me time to find AL that I can afford.
