My mom, [name removed], lived at Ashford Court in Westland, Michigan from January 2016 to September 2020. From the first few days she lived there, she felt welcomed and excited to participate in the many activities. She made many friends through the years she lived there, including several staff members who were always very friendly. One of the things I was most thankful for is the attention and genuine care that the residents received. I felt she was safe and looked after, even though her apartment was part of the independent living community. I would recommend Ashford Court to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. The manager, [name removed], and his staff have been great in responding to requests and provide good communications to the community.

This is an ideal place to live. I moved here so I didn't have to cook, clean up or house clean. I was pleasantly surprised by the various activities available. I got excercise M, T, & W @ 10 AM and bingo at 3 PM on Mon. and Wed. They keep the place very clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Washers and dryers are normal size and free! I have my own AC in my room, 2 large closets, and a couple cupboards. I enjoy spending my free time in the sewing room.

I am so appreciative of Summerfield for the way they make my mother feel at home. Health issues required that she leave her home of 50 years and move 4 hours away to be near me, her daughter. I see the staff going out of their way to get the residents involved in activities and to get them involved so they can make new friends. Even though my mom says moving was not her choice, she is glad she did. She is starting her 4th year as a resident and calls it home now. Even in this restricted time I see the staff going the extra mile to keep the residents safe. They are doing extra things such as curling mom's hair, something that I was doing before the Covid restrictions.

My siblings and I visited all the options in our community. We found the Corby Senior Living facility to be just what we needed. Our mother was coming from a home of her own to needing assistance with just one month to prepare. When we found the Corby Place I remembered saying it was an answer to prayer. We found a place that would provide her with as much independence as she wanted and as much assistance as she needed. Three years later we have peace of mind and still consider the Corby an answer to prayer.

Our family selected Summerfield Assisted Living a year ago for my wife [name removed] and we have been extremely pleased with the hospitality and care she has been given. The staff and management has been A+ and there would not be any hesitation about referring their organization to new long term care patients. A bonus derived from her residency at Summerfield has been the improved socialization she is getting compared to a life at home with very little social contact. I want to thank the staff at Summerfield for their investment in time for my wife's care.

My mother is 94 and we moved her from Florida 2 years ago to live in Ashford Court in Westland, MI. We have been very happy with her apartment, food, care, and all of the staff that work so hard to keep the residents well-cared for and happy. Especially during this pandemic, I feel the general manager and all the staff have gone over and above. We have been kept informed for all these months by email and phone calls/messages as to the status of the lockdown, food delivery, housekeeping changes, visiting rules, activities, covid-19 cases (there have been few), and other information we are all concerned with. I have had questions that I directed to the GM and he promptly replied either by email or a phone call. My mom says “they take good care of me here.” ?? We live a short distance so we visit often -of course not as often during the pandemic- and the staff at the desk, dining room, housekeeping, activity person, home care people, have always been cheerful, helpful and kind. We have high praise for Ashford Court and are at peace knowing Mom is here.

Mom has been living at Corby for 1-1/2 years now and loves it. She loves just being around people and the pandemic Isolation has been really hard. She has made some lasting friendships and enjoys just talking to them. Corby has worked so hard to ensure her surroundings are clean and sanitized. Her laundry continues to be done as usual and meals are delivered to her room. She hates to eat alone and the delivery person makes the trip so worthwhile! Great job kitchen! The staff is so loving and kind to their residents - this is one of the main reasons Mom and our family selected Corby along with feeling safe. Activities have continued in the hallways and residents can walk down to get their mail. Events have continued but in a manner to keep residents safe and healthy. The nursing staff has had several calls to take care of existing medical conditions and we are so appreciative that they are there. Mom is not alone but needs to see her family. She is well taken care of and thank God for modern technology and FaceTime telephone calls. She is so proud that Corby is Covid-19 free thanks to the guidance and leadership of Corby - you are all very special angels ??

Cardinal is a wonderful community for my mom. They have a great caring staff and lost of activities for the residents.

Beautiful community and nice, friendly staff. There are patches that are screened in for outdoor living I plan to bring my mother back for a tour.

The staff is excellent, I would have given higher than a 5 if possible. They are cost-effective. It is a great location. They are clean and friendly. They offer a lot of activities. The food is good. The room sizes and the layout of the community are good.

They are unique in that the building is one company with health care coming from a different company. So it is Independent Living with added services. My parents have a large one-bedroom unit. My parents really like the food. My dad is a diabetic and it is a little heavy on the carbs. They get a lot of food and good variety. They also have a memory care unit available which is great for couples needing different levels of care.

We have been contemplating a senior apartment for my mom who will be 90 for about a year now. She’s feisty and has all her wits but needs less maintenance. The staff each and everyone of them have gone out of their way to be helpful and kind. The patient’s level especially during all this Covid has been extraordinary.We finally move mom in a couple of weeks ago and although she still not 100% thrilled we are the family are knowing she’s in a safe environment. She’s very active and I believe now that she’s out of quarantine will join the community happily and be able to continue her social activities within the community during these trying times

The staff at Pine Ridge of Hayes are very caring people. When my parents moved in, my father needed a lot of assistance, they were there for him. That helped my mother out in a lot of ways. Since my fathers passing, my mother is striving there. Playing games, going on road trips, using the hair salon, joining in on other activities. She loves it there, she has made a lot of new friends. Its been two years now, and we cant thank everyone there for being there. Even with this Corona virus issue going on, they have done an excellent job keeping everyone virus free. Keep up the great work.

Pine Ridge of Hayes is a 5 + star Independent living with many great benefits. My Uncles Parents lived at Pine Ridge of Hayes for 6 years. He talked about how great the staff was and how well his parents were taken care of. When we started looking for an Independent/assisted living home by my in-laws my Uncle reminded me of Pine Ridge. We brought my in-laws to see the Pine Ridge and after taking a tour and talking to the staff and residents my mother in-law made her mind up instantly. ALL of the staff from the Director [name removed], Sales Director [name removed], housekeeping, activities director, medical staff, front desk, maintenance, the chef and dining room staff are so friendly and kind. They take care of and treat our mother and our family like we are their family. All of the staff at Pine Ridge of Hayes is our second family now. Through this pandemic they have kept all the residents virus free!!! Excellent job on all of their parts!!

We had a positive experience. It is cost-effective. They have recently remodeled. It was a good fit for my parents at the time. They do not offer help with higher-end care needs. The food was good. The room sizes were good.

Hello to all those wondering if this is a good place for your loved one, well I give it a big star yes it is. My father was living with us for a year and wanting to stay forever with us and it got too much for us so I took him to meet the wonderful staff there and should first say I took him to other Places first & my family picked this place as the best one being we all thought [name removed] who showed us around the place was like so sweet and caring of all places we went to. As stubborn as my dad is he even said he could tell [name removed] truly was precious and caring. Since then I have met many more that work there and they are all so thoughtful and caring I feel blessed we chose this place and to see my Dad actually happy there has made my life so much happier. I love the fact they have this little screened in porch to view the court yard unlike all the others I saw. My dad is actually happy now :)

Had to find a place for our mother. Although she could handle most things on her own, yard and snow maintenance were getting to be too much. As well as short term memory issues made it no longer safe for her to live alone. She has been there for a year now and the peace of mind we get from her being there is beyond measure. Especially during the Covid-19 quarantine. This is due to the amazing staff there. Lead by one of the most amazing individuals I have met in this industry. They all seem to genuinely care. They care about the well being of each person. I sincerely highly recommend this location for anyone individual needing - assisted living. Great facility!

Our experience has been great and we really liked the marketing person who helped us. The staff are very responsive , very friendly , and seem experienced. There is a nice variety of activities and a lot of opportunities. The place is a little dated as far as decor, but it is very nice and clean. Overall, it is a nice value with a great centralized location in our metro area. It offers many different options for residents regarding levels of care so they won't have to move again. We looked at many other places and we feel it is an outstanding choice.
