The Seasons on Tezel

My mother lived at Seasons - Old Tezel Road for seven months. The staff treated her with dignity, respect, compassion, love, and patience...lots of patience. When she displayed behavior issues, they worked with the doctor to allow her to retain her personality, but keep everyone safe. All of the hospice personal who work at this facility as well as the owner and the manager gave me their personal phone numbers and told me to call them any time I had a question. The facility was always clean and fresh smelling. I was welcome to visit at any time. During the last few days of my mother's life I even slept there. I am very thankful for the care my mother received at this facility.

Various activities for the residents: 1. My mother enjoys the gentleman who sings and plays the piano weekly. She can even request one of her favorite songs. 2. There are dancers who encourage the residents to dance or sit and march with their feet while they shake tambourines and maracas to various types of music. 3. Mom looks forward to the art and craft activities. She has been very proud to show them to family. I am very pleased the Caregivers took the time to get to actually get to know my Mom and her personally.

I would highly recommend it. We had a great experience with Seasons. In fact, I was so appreciative of their care of my dad, I made them 20+ fidget quilts. They treated my father who had severe dementia with so much compassion and they were very supportive and caring to my mother. We were impressed with the variety and number of activities they had for the residents. The staff were attentive and respectful to my dad even when he was being difficult. The staff were with him and cared for him compassionately as he died. We would highly recommend Seasons.

keep in mind my mother is on hospice and receives additional care paid for by her insurance. The reason the cost is high is the high staff to client ratio which this facility provides. In addition the staff really do care about their clients! I would like to see them provide more water to the clients at times other than just meal or snack time.

My mother was a resident at Seasons Alzheimer's Care and Assisted Living. I would easily rate every category at a 5 for this facility. The staff were helpful and engaged with the residents. The facility was clean, in good repair, and safe due to several locked gates. I can't say enough good things about this facility. I would highly recommend Seasons Alzheimer's Care and Assisted Living to family and friends.

The decision to place a loved one in a Memory Care facility is stressful and life changing for the entire family. Our decision to place dad at "Season's" has truly been a life saver for all us!! The facility is exceptional. Managers are on-call 24hr. a day and are accessible. There is a Hospice RN, LVN, and Aide on site. The chefs and food service are wonderful. The activities/entertainment are enjoyed by all. The individual rooms and living areas are pristine. The property is continually updated and manicured. Security is top notch with 3 coded gates before entering. My family has never been strangers to the staff. The managers, aides, nurses, cooks, and entertainers are family to us and have always treated dad with care, respect and dignity. The staffing ratio is above requirements. The facility is open 24hrs. a day and there is complete transparency between staff and family. God bless the entire staff for the work they do, it is truly an invaluable labor of love!!!

A wonderful caring place. You end up not only visiting your loved one but falling in love with all the residents. The staff is amazing and genuinely care for the patients. They work wonderfully with family to make sure that each patient gets what they need. It feels like a real home.

Sodalis Shavano Park has been a really good experience so far. The staff members are doing a really good job keeping it clean and the staff members have been very friendly. According to our loved one he is really enjoying the meals and even goes back for seconds, and tries to go back for thirds. The activities are very good, the staff members do a great job keeping the residents busy. The value for the money is actually much better then before - the price does not go up, it is a set price and will not raise due to inflation. What stood out to us most was their outdoor space and backyard patio. It is really big so when we come to visit there is plenty of room for our family. On the inside they have nice tall ceilings - it may not be the newest community but it is in very good shape.

What stood out to me about this community is the calm environment and the consistent activities that they have going on. Each staff person is personable, professional, and caring. No housekeeping issues that I've observed. The staff is thorough in keeping things tidy and clean. If small, homey environment is appropriate for their loved one's needs, I would most certainly recommend this facility to others.

My 93 year old mother is treated like family by a warm caring, and professional staff. The facility is always clean, the food is delicious, and a variety of meaningful activities is offered daily. I'm grateful to all involved for the loving care that Mom receives!

The owners and the staff there really show genuine concern and care towards their residents. They staff were very attentive, friendly and patient with our loved one. The meals were very good and based on the experience we had with Seasons community we would recommend them to other families.

I couldn't be more grateful for being referred to Seasons by A Place for Mom. From my first contact to the last both my mother and I were treated with kindness and caring. The facility was clean and in good repair. All the staff I saw really engaged with the residents. The owner and staff were so caring at one of the most difficult and stressful times, the last week of my mom's life.

My good friend is a resident of Seasons Care and Assisted Living, and I would like the San Antonio community to know what a supportive staff and facility this place is. Whenever I drop in to visit, she is surrounded by people who keep her engaged in activities and conversation. Sometimes we go to her room to have quiet conversation and lunch, and even then the staff checks in regularly to see if we need anything. The staff also makes an effort to lift her spirits by seeing that she wears the bright colors she loves and by keeping pretty flowers in her hair. Extra touches like these truly make a difference for the resident and their family and friends. Whenever I leave, I feel she is in capable and caring hands.

Review For Seasons on Old Tezel- The Staff at this facility are the best- kind, caring and always friendly. With other experiences with home-health or assisted living staff we had rude, unhappy and apathetic staff. This is not the case at Seasons where all staff are great. The facility is always clean, my loved ones room is always clean, neat and smells fresh and the entire facility is clean and well cared for. Activities my love one enjoys are games, movies, sing-along and pet and music therapy as well as walks outside when weather permits. Food is homemade and the cooks are attentive to dietary and nutritional needs and provide plenty of healthy choices as well as snacks and special treats for special occasions like holidays and birthdays. Nurses, CNAs, and the Activity Director are all awesome and some of the best in the business. Laundry, beauty shop/barber and massages are offered and enjoyed as well as outing in facilities Luxury Van to the library and other locations in town. We strongly recommend the seasons on Old Tezel Road as your best choice for your loved one.

Her room was neat and clean and all staff are great. Lots of activities and games are offed my the activity guy and the nurses and aids are all the best. Food is home cooked and snacks are offered. All medical care has been great. She goes on walks, dances to music, does fitness and toga and art and is in great hands with the staff at Seasons' I recommend this and think it should be your #1 choice.

My did not participate in activities but received great care and services. Would recommend the facility to any one with memory illness.

This review is for the Tezel location. Our loved one MZ was a resident of this facility and passed away in their loving hospice care recently. Seasons on Tezel Rd. is the absolute best. All of the staff with this facility from care-givers, nurses, the activity coordinator, the cooks, to the Priest who comes weekly were all top notch and absolutely the best. The cared for our loved one like she was family, and always went the extra mile for our family every time we visited or called. The faculty is clean, modern and has the best accommodations. Rooms are well appointed and private and the living room is home-like. Food and snacks are all homemade and healthy. The facility offered daily activities, such as music, animal therapy, yoga, massage, art, bingo and other games, walks in the garden and trips in their luxury van accompanied by the professional and loving staff. All interactions with staff from the day we came to tour to mom's passing and beyond have been above and beyond great. This place is clearly #1 in the city and is highly recommended by our family and friends.

What a wonderful facility! Our group volunteered at The Seasons on Old Tezel over the holiday seasons. Of all the places we have served this is by far the cleanest, most home-like and was well staffed, with beautiful furnishings and we were greeted by friendly and caring staff who clearly are doing God's work with senior citizens in the city of San Antonio. There are daily activities, games, bingo, walks in the garden and special holiday events and outings in the community. This place is a 5 star plus facility and should be the #1 choice for anyone who needs this type of facility.

Our loved on is a resident at The Seasons on Tezel Rd. When we visit the house is always clean, staff are friendly and residents are well cared for, well fed and regularly engaged in some sort of activity. Outing to see Christmas lights, go to the library, pumpkin patches, etc are offered regularly. Amenities include a garden and beautiful grounds, beauty and barber services for residents, and rooms are first class and not at all institutional. All staff are friendly, neat and professional and management to include the building manager, activity director and owner are top-notch and have private bathrooms and the day room is neat and organized well. They treat residents like family and truly show caring attitudes and are well trained seasoned professionals. This is the nicest place in town and far exceeded our expectations and is the first choice for a family member who needs this sort of facility.
