Memory Care

Belvedere Commons is not a pretentious or "glitzy" facility, but rather a "down home" kind of place. Looking around, one will notice that each resident is treated with individual care and respect. The resident is provided with good food, cleanliness, friendship, the feeling of belonging, a smile and pat in the back from a caring staff, and of course, BINGO!

Highly Recommend This Facility

I've already recommended them to multiple people. It's a close-knit facility. Each resident gets their own apartment, and you can bring you own furniture. So my loved one feels at home, not like she's in a hospital. The staff always make her feel comfortable and always come in and check on her. They treat her like she's their own grandmother, and they are absolutely amazing. Everyone knows my loved one's name, and they will meet her at the door after a doctor's appointment and greet her by name. I feel no qualms about leaving her there. She is a very picky eater, and they have worked very diligently to find things that she likes. They have a church service every Sunday, and that was a big reason why we picked them. They do an amazing job of getting her to come out of her room and go to activities. I think it's an amazing value.

A great place for loved ones

Our loved one was only there for a month but we had a great experience with them. One of the main reasons we chose Belvedere was the sales guy, he was so helpful and from being out of town he constantly checked in our loved one and was in constant communication with our family. The community itself did need some updating which they admitted, but they spent most of their time and efforts taking care of the residents which to us was most important.

I moved here in [date removed] because my daughter asked me to. She found me a home, it was Grace Manor at that time. She thought that I needed an assisted living place to live in. I could not be any happier. Everyone treats me with great respect. I can't believe how smart that everyone is. They know pro players, movie stars, etc.

Our tour experience

Our family had a tour experience and the Belvedere community was beautiful, it was our close second. It was cheaper and had a better value but the location was just to far away for us.

The best Memory Community in town!

The Retreat at Port Orange is the best Memory Care Community I have ever been to! They have such an amazing team, you see the smiles as soon as you walk in the door! The community is so full of life and happiness. Their Activities Director keeps everyone exercising, socializing, and even dancing! The community has a very specific design, with two separate memory care buildings, they can care for residents who are just starting out with memory loss and those who have progressed. They are just all around so welcoming, I would recommend The Retreat to anyone!

A nice small community for my Mom.

The staff is usually very responsive to our needs. Carrie and Britney in the office have always been very responsive and Stephanie in Nursing has always kept me well informed about my mother. I think overall they try to handle most situations that come up. I'm sure that finding employees to work in this type of field can be challenging at times.

There was a learning curve when it comes to the community with doctor visits and doctor care, so make sure you understand those. The community is very clean, and the staff is very friendly also. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Peace of mind

We chose Belvedere Commons because of the location was near to us and the price was the best and when we visited everyone was wonderful and it has continued to be that way. They do provide shared and private rooms, my mom has a single large room and it is great size for her. The caregivers who are here in the different areas really care and go out of their way. When we visit my mom we always hear them interacting with residents like it is their own family, they are so calm and patient. I would highly recommend to others looking.

Our Tour Experience

I thought Belvedere was nice. The only issue we had was how their rooms were arranged. They divided the room in two so you had a small front room and a small back room. We just didn’t like the room layout, and there's nothing they could do about that. The tour itself was great. The woman who led the tour was wonderful. We just didn’t see our loved one living there due to the layout.

Great place for loved one

Our loved one at the community really enjoys the meals that they provide. It is a smaller community and they seem to take more one on one time with the residents, it does not have an institutional feel. It is more like having an apartment in a complex rather than a room in a facility.

facility

wow after reading the reviews i was cautious to say the least. We are so glad we went and saw for ourselves. The facility was clean did not have the odor we were expecting. The residents all looked clean well dressed hair even done nice. Some residents were involved in bingo laughing and having a good time, some were watching a movie in the common area and some were enjoying the patio. The staff were all friendly and helpful answered our questions. Our visits was un announced and un planned we didn't want the dressed up tour. We have placed our father here, he has been at 24th rd about 6 months and is doing very well. He likes the food, he's made a new friend they talk about cars and watch westerns. He's always well dressed and shaven even. This was a good choice for our family. And have had a wonderful experience with facility & staff.
