Most all apartments have been renovated and I think are nice. Housekeeping is spotty and there's been a lot of turnover in administration. I think it's pretty steady now. My father was on 3rd floor at the end of the hall. He's moved to the first floor near lobby and loves it. They're improving activities, and the food isn't bad - just not really restaurant quality. They do have multiple choices. Haywood has an app that use to communicate events with residents and family members. I like that touch. It is is phenomenally better than [facility name removed] (where dad was).

He knows it's a good place for him. He isn't always crazy about the food, but knows it is nutritious. He has a wonderful lady friend who lives there, and they are very happy. They met playing poker! Clean environment with nutritious meals. Friendly staff. I am glad my brother is pretty well satisfied there and knows it is a good fit for his needs.

The facility is nice. Mom really likes her room. She is disappointed with the new management. And is hoping it gets better soon. They have had a lot of staff turn over in the last year. And they activities person has changed at least twice. They currently have very few activities. The dining room offers 2-3 choices for meals. But often run out. My mom has strict dietary needs and if they run out of the things she can eat, she doesn't eat. ( luckily, her small kitchen in her room has food if she needs it). Overall, I think she is happy, but there are few things that bother her

Staff was very accommodating in helping me set up my cable. I am not computer savvy. I found that the location of this facility is in a good location of restaurants and other businesses. So far I like my 2 BR apartment. I have identified some things requiring maintenance. I will be looking around to see how long it takes to address my needs. Some units have screened patios/porches. This would definitely set my mind at ease if I could get a screened in porch/patio. I would consider staying here longer.

Staff is wonderful, very friendly and family oriented. Housekeeping in the general areas is good. Housekeeping offered to the tenants is very limited and really not enough help for them. Move in process was easy. Meals are generally pretty good. We would recommend this facility.

Everyone is capable and talented. But weekend staffing challenges often impact the resident experience. I would recommend the facility - with the recommendation that the potential resident have an offsite family member/sponsor consistently helping to oversee care.

Very nice facility. Clean, well kept. Lots of amenities. Family involvement in memory care is phenomenal. Hands on staff, overall, is very dedicated and hardworking and loving. Chronically understaffed (like everywhere) but it's getting better. Upper management isn't great so they lose a lot of good staff.

If my dad would not have been in memory care I'm sure the activities would have been great. I wish I could move in there! Also the staff went above and beyond to help us transition from the hospital to facility. They personally came to the hospital to explain to the nurses what they needed on the paperwork. They also helped me find a patient advocate and care givers to eventually bring my dad home.

Overall, it's a great place. The staff and the other residents are very friendly. It was just a little too structured for me. I needed a little bit more freedom, so that's why I decided to just get my own apartment.

I would say that the residents and staff are friendly for the most part. If you live there you should definitely partake in as many activities as possible. They will help you stay active and healthy. As far as good goes - they could possibly have some better variety, make sure it comes out hot, fresher ingredients including meats, etc., have bacon more than once a week, and this is harsh, but get a new chef maybe? Or, give the chef the ingredients he/she needs to make the food taste better.

I would recommend the facility. We picked it because of a comparison of cost, services, and location. It worked out well. The biggest issue was with the staffing. There was a high turnover rate during this period, apparently due to internal problems, conflicts, etc, and many issues fell between the cracks. Dropped balls were common. All of the staff that we dealt with were great. It was the behind the scenes issues that were problematic.

It is modern and feels much like a hotel walking in and not an "old folks place". It is very clean and well organized. [name removed], our Sales person, was very passionate and engaged with us from the beginning. Her follow up was by far the best! People smile and I spent enough time there to watch the care attendants with people - they were kind and caring and respectful. The food is in transition, I believe and definitely needs some work. It is the main complaint my parents have

My father-in-law went to the "Blake" from a "rehabilitation center" that was awful. He had decompensated considerably. He refused to go to meals or participate in any activities. I was disappointed that they "couldn't " make him go out of his room. When I was there I "made" him go out. He didn't last long there through no fault of anyone at the "Blake". I believe if we could have moved him there sooner it would have been better.

Had some issues getting the payment of the rent organized. They're a little behind in the electronic payment process They need a little more help. They're keeping up as best they can with the number of employees they have that show up to work For what they provide, they do a great job. The staff is very interactive with the residents. It's great that they know them by name on sight. Sometimes it's hit or miss. The process of getting food to the rooms of the residents needs to be redone. Again they need more help. There's always something for the residents to do. [name removed] was very helpful throughout the process of getting our dad into the facility. She provided updates along the way up until he was moved in. [name removed] the facility manager is amazing! She's been very helpful and patient with all of us. She's kept us up to date on the changes and challenges they've endured. She made it a point to provide her direct number to allow us to reach out to her.
