They are very accommodating and pleasant. The food is very good and they have lots of activities for the residents.

even though my Bro in Law paid for Aug; deep clean was not done prior to his moving in during the month of [date removed] .Quality of care 4 so far; however, 3rd party (ADDIS) being used for health care help is very expensive and are not doing all duties they say they will

The staff is wonderful and is very kind and helpful with my Mom. However, sometimes, it takes a while for a staff member to get to my Mom when she presses her call button. It's not that the staff is inattentive, more like understaffed and spread thin. That being said, I wouldn't have my Mom in any other facility.

Ask about a standardized orientation. This was the weakest point of the moving in process. The strongest point is the friendliest of most of the staff. The location is ideal.

The facility is very liability conscious to a fault. If a loved one goes to the hospital for anything other than an illness, they try to push the loved one into a rehabilitation center before returning to the Living Facility.

The residents complain a lot about the food. Housekeeping services could be improved. They need additional staffing to clean the apartments more thoroughly. Refrigerators are never wiped out. Overall is adequate but not to my standards. It is a nice environment overall and I feel my loved one is safe and well taken care of for the most part.

I have been happy with The Blake. we've had a few hiccups along the way, but they worked really hard to correct them. The place is usually kept pretty clean and the staff has been wonderful to my mom. I would recommend it to others.

Location is great in Lexington close to shopping grocery and medical hospital. One bedroom rooms are kind of small. Recently changed ownership and the food and portion sizes went downhill food is not as good or portion sizes are smaller

Helpful and accommodating but recently had a lot of turnover. Seems to be settling down at the moment.

There isn't really any exercise facility or equipment. Only one or two treadmills. I'm not sure if they have any group activities together based on what my Dad says. He also feels that most of the residents are less active or mobile and that makes it difficult for him to communicate or make friends. The shuttle services are useful though. He also says he doesn't like that there isn't an oven in the unit and the one he's in at least doesn't have a very large fridge. He also thinks the meals are served too close together 8, 12, and 5 I think he says.

Always a big turnover of residents. As well as staff. A few things I like about the community are the location, the landscaping, the kindness of staff, meals, variety of different activities.

What they could improve on would be to offer meals that are more balanced. However, we would recommend the community to other families based on the experience so far.

The social director was awesome. The patients could use more of this. The food was often cold when delivered. I heard several resident complain about that.

What we like the most about Washington Commons is how the staff are personnel are cordial, friendly and respectful. The entry road needs repair.

I just love my 2 BR apartment. I find the square footage of my apartment to be comfortable. Their location of the living facility is in close proximity to restaurants, Costco, and churches. Much has been done to give this facility a facelift since my arrival a year ago. I am proud to show this place off when my family and friends visit me. Maintenance requests are done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this facility to my friend and family

The staff really nice respectful with my dad , the facility is well maintained. Food not so much my dad won't wear his false teeth so he needs soft food but they still give him stuff he can't eat so I keep a stash of microwaveable meals that the aides will heat for him. The room is great he has a hospital bed, table with 2chairs, fridge, 2 recliners a dresser and nightstand it's a nice size.

They were helpful-I think we got there too late for my mother to fully partake of the facility-they did warn us about that and they were correct. They know their clientele and what the needs are. They were not horrified by anything we told them and they seemed to have experienced it all-with grace and kindness. I would highly recommend it to others.

My dad is thrilled with the food here. His previous location's menu was not well balanced and he gained an unhealthy amount of weight. Here, he is eating better, dropping the extra pounds, and is a lot happier with the variety on the menu. Maintenance is a little slow to respond. For example, it took them over two weeks to hook up his cable and resolve some other simple mechanical issues with blinds, smoke detector, and ceiling fan. Once addressed, though, everything has been fine! It took the facility two weeks to get him in the system so that I could sign in to visit. I didn't stay away because of it; I went in anyway by signing in as a visitor to an event or tour. It was very off-putting initially because it made him feel like he was not fully welcomed. Despite the initial challenges, I would still choose this place for him again. He really likes it there.

Facility is excellent and well maintained, staff have been kind, considerate and helpful. The main criticism my sister has is the lack of reasonable quality food. She is even considering moving due to this matter. Since I don't eat there I have no way of knowing if her expectations are unreasonable in an institutional setting or if her complaints are well founded. The accounting for her stay has been slow and rather sloppy, but they were easy to work with to make the corrections needed. It was confusing because originally she was only going to stay a short time for respite care but changed her mind and decided to make it a permanent change so she switched rooms and that caused some confusion. My sister is in failing health so she is doesn't interact with other residents or staff all that much.
