"Spotlessly clean." Very friendly helpful staff. Delicious meals. Friendly residents. Parents were pleasantly surprise at how much they liked facility. Doing a trial stay this week. At the top end of budget, and trying to work out the numbers to see if it will work. Very convenient location. Parents liked the ability to have own vehicle for independence if they chose to drive themselves to visit friends or run errands.

We are tickled pink that we found Dogwood Terrace. Exceptional in every way! A place my dad will be comfortable AND safe, with lots of opportunities for relationships and support. Thrilled!

I thought they were really nice, I liked the size of the rooms. They seemed bigger and more spacious than a lot of the communities we were looking at. It was a little outside of the area for us, but it was really nice and the people were very friendly too.

We scheduled tours of several retirement facilities. Whealdon was our first, and we cancelled all the other tours after that. While the decor and finishes are clearly eighties, we found the facility bright with natural light, and every single staff person was friendly, warm, and happy. The dining room was spacious, comfortable and inviting. We had lunch there three times as part of our visits to the facility. STaff managers help serve the residents, and they know them all by name, and personality, and habits. The apartment offered my mom a full bathtub, unheard of in most senior apartments. The rooms are surprisingly well sized;mom's furniture from home fit beautifully. She has been there two weeks, and the other residents have cared for her, welcomed her, and gone out of their way to include her in the many activities offered. We are so pleased!

Both the Independent Living and the Skilled Nursing areas are great! The dining areas are nice and the staff in both sections are so nice! The fact that we were able to find a place that offers Independent Living and Skilled Nursing under the same roof AND closer to home was so great! The Independent Living is an apartment, too, and not just a room. Both of my loved ones feel so fortunate to be here together!

Fabulous customer service and a beautiful community.

Visited here and really liked it although I think it's a little too far away. The staff was really nice and I did like the fact they had an office there with caregivers that you could hire to help the resident. I don't know how much help my mom would need or cost, and my daughter is still not comfortable with her going into independent living. I wouldn't mind living there.

This place has been absolutely wonderful so far! It's a lovely looking facility, it's got high ceilings, windows everywhere, and just feels very bright, open, and airy. The staff are all very friendly, and they're great about engaging with both the residents and their families. This is an independent living community, but they offer all kinds of optional services to cover any needs your loved one might have. They're very willing to work to accommodate your loved ones changing needs.

I had a chance to visit and have lunch with the wonderful staff at Fairmont. Very nice and clean and friendly. Would definitely keep this place in mind for my golden years !

This place has done an excellent job so far, top marks across the board. It's a lovely place, the staff are friendly and provide excellent care. We looked into quite a few facilities during our search and this one was just head and shoulders above all the others we saw, and it is a great value for the excellent quality of the care.

Excellent care. Management is outstanding. Lots of activities and the food is great. I feel very comfortable turning care of my parents over to all the caregivers. Well worth the money to know your loved ones are well care for.

Lighthouse Pointe is where you or anyone else would want to live - beautifully appointed,sparkling attention to detail and maintenance, great staff, fantastic food, caring management,activities and so much more! (I want to live there!!!)

We liked this place! It's nice and homey and the food was great! They have eight vegetarians and prepare vegetarian entrees, not just side dishes, for them. They have a limited number of apartments with patios. And they aren't too far from our house.

The only thing I would say is that he pays a lot of money for his medical compared to other places; however, the base rent is very affordable, and you get a lot for your money! They have an Olympic size swimming pool, a 34 seat movie theater, a cafe for friends and family, villas for guest to stay in when they visit, and the place is just beautiful. And overall, he is happy. The thing is, he does have dementia, so he would be better off if he had one on one care. Given his age and issues it would be nice if someone was with him to encourage him to do things. He doesn't use the cafe, pool, or theater. I know they offer things, but with dementia, it is an individual question. He could use a job, because at 90 he really doesn't have any reason to get out of bed in the morning. For him, where his room is, is great, there are activities right outside his room.

River's Edge was practically identical to Ashley Park. The property was the exact size she wants, with all the amenities she desires. There again wasn't a sad face among the residents or the staff. The staff there also helped me expand my thoughts on other options during our search. They also had Ashleigh's notes from Ashley Park and that helped pare down the interview process.

We have been really very, very pleased with The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods. The facility is beautiful, the nursing staff is responsive, the apartments are a nice size. We really feel very positively about it. We had visited several communities before selecting The Fountains.

Ashley Park was exactly what we are looking for. The dining room was immaculate and the property was the exact size she wants, with all the amenities she desires. There wasn't a sad face among the residents or the staff. This will be the benchmark from which we judge all other places.

Very nice. It felt like a big cruise ship instead of a facility, kind of like a big party. As far as the assisted living, I was worried that it was too big and overwhelming for my mom. For independent residents, it would have been a blast to live there.
