Everybody here is nice, happy and very friendly.

We had a great tour with Sunrise of Plainview and liked what we saw, but we felt mom would be a better fit at another place we looked at.

Great staff and location.

We didn’t like the room layout. But we liked pretty much everything else about it.

The staff are friendly and caring. They appear to be a little short staffed right now. But overall, in times of need, they're there 24/7. The living spaces are acceptable and meet our needs. I can see that post-Covid they're trying to keep the residents busy.

The common spaces have been under construction since moving in. One of the reasons we wanted her here was so that she could socialize and that has been fairly restricted because of that construction going on. We are excited for that to be done so she can get out and about with other residents.

My loved one really liked the meals at this community. This community feels like a big house and everyone in it feels like a big family. You don't see this often and it really feels like your going to someones house that just has a lot of people. It isn't the fanciest but it is very homey.

I would tell others to definitely try and schedule the move in when people are not walking in the hallways and while someone is there to open doors with you. You do have to move in through the front of the building so it can get clustered. They also charge a hefty move in fee as well. It was not a good experience while moving in.

The Sunrise tour was pretty impressive, it looked to be an upbeat facility. It was just too far for what we were looking for.

We chose Sunrise of Frederick because the furnishings were more homey and comfortable. The room sizes here are on the smaller side. They have community cats that walk around the facility and so my mom has to keep her door shut which stinks. They do have assigned seating in the dining hall which I did not like at first, but it forms a bond with the residents. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

This community may work for you and your loved one. This is a good possibility for your loved one. They have activities like bingo and more to help keep the residents busy. The staff are fair and we have had good interactions.

This community is small, clean and friendly to the residents. My father- in-law seems to be very happy here. This community is a very pretty place and good for your loved one. They have activities like arts and crafts and movies and card games but have been limited due to covid.

Our tour with Sunrise was really good. The facility was just a little too far for what we were looking for.

Sunrise was very dark and it was too quiet. When we toured the residents were all just sitting around and we did not get a good vibe.

Sunrise was very helpful providing a nurse to visit the house and get the medical requirements for entry taken care of which would have been a nightmare otherwise due to the pandemic. The staff is friendly and provide updates on dads condition. The facility is clean and the menu choices varied. A very nice place.

The nursing care is wonderful. The staff is very, very good. They're very friendly and very helpful. My loved one has had a hard time fitting in. She's better now, but it has taken several months. There's not a whole lot of help for her with her macular degeneration, unlike what they originally said there would be. The food is not wonderful. It could use more variation. Same with activities. They don't' have very many. But overall, I'm very happy with it because she's close to home to me, but she's still setting in.

The tour was fine and she was nice, but it was the facility itself that needed work. The memory care unit was very old and smelled. When we toured people were screaming for help and it was just chaotic. I have heard that this facility is great for independent living, but I would not recommend for memory care.

They were very friendly. Every place seems to be understaffed though. Their phone system was a little annoying. You had to go through the front desk to get to anyone you needed to talk to. But the staff did call you back. And any time I had a question about anything, it was very easy to figure out who I needed to talk to. They had the nicest rooms of everywhere I looked. My loved one liked the food but said the portion sizes were too small. We didn't really have any issues during our short stay there, and I would recommend them to others. I've dealt with other places with other family members, and Sunrise was the better of them. They're all priced pretty similarly, so that's not a problem. My loved one could be difficult, but the staff were all very patient and kind to him. And they called me any time there was an issue. Their verbal communication was great.

They had activities available; however, it seemed the residents weren't interested in participating. The care was always good. The community was clean. My loved one had a short stay here, and I wish there was more one-on-one attention.
