I would rate them very highly. The only comment I could make is that there were times when his room was a little messy, though not enough so to drop their score. The care was good, and he was safe. We were pleased with them.

I think they've done a fantastic job at Sunrise of Smithtown! The facility itself is top notch, it is always clean and well kept. The staff are very polite and professional, and they take great care of the people who live here. I would recommend this place highly!

We were given caring guidance and advice throughout my mom's transition. There were tough decisions to make but she is now settled and happy where she is. The size of this facility is small enough that there is a homey, family feel. The staff is loving and gets to know the residents personally. I think they are a big part of why she is now doing so well!

My brothers and I have been extremely impressed with the dignity and respect given to my mother by the staff in the Reminiscence Neighborhood of Sunrise of Norwood. The positive approach of the staff keeps her happy, safe, and engaged in a good variety of activities.

It is difficult to imagine a better run company where everything from the décor in public spaces to the excellent food reinforces what singles Sunrise out. The dining room with table clothes and fresh flowers (and often live piano music) makes it a haven at mealtime. Staff and management, to a man and woman, are caring, intelligent and where they want to be. I feel very lucky to have found a place for my mom that offers all this so close to home!

The staff at Sunrise is superb. They are extremely professional and compassionate. We're in the Reminiscence memory-care wing and appreciate how friendly the staff is and love the homey atmosphere. We've been here six months and absolutely feel it is the best place for us.

I just moved my mother in law from another assisted living facility. They welcomed her and got her settled in quickly and efficiently. When i call or visit it is always a pleasure, the staff is helpful and friendly.

I was very impressed with this place! The staff all were so friendly and helpful. The director took great time and care to educate us on assisted living and how it could benefit my mom. Lunch was terrific - even the chef came out and introduced himself! The staff were all tenured, most of them over 6 years - even the wait staff - who introduced themselves to us at lunch and knew each resident by name. The idea of a personal care manager gave me peace of mind, knowing there was one person who would be caring for my mom and making sure her experience there was enriching on a daily basis. My mom's only hesitation was the size of the apartment - which was very small - like a hotel room. Other than that, this would be my clear choice.

My husband was at Sunrise for 2 respite visits, first in Assisted Living, then Renaissance (Memory Care) and is now a fulltime resident of Memory Care. I am relieved that he is well cared for though heartbroken that he can no longer be home safely. I believe he has adjusted very well and the care team keeps him occupied and busy which makes his days more stimulating. Everyone is welcoming, calling John by name, remembering it between visits and welcoming him back smiling and saying they missed him so he felt their genuine kindness. Other than being on the higher end of our budget, I feel good about what Sunrise offers for my husband. It gives me peace of mind.

My sister moved into this community 2 months ago. This is an excellent community and I can't say enough about the care and services they perform. My advisor, Jacquie at A Place For Mom was an excellent resource. She made the process very smooth. I now can understand how important these reviews really are. My sister is in the reminiscence unit and is receiving the stimulation needed and is really enjoying the friendships she is developing. I can see a steady improvement in her already. The dining room offers 4 items on a menu and the staff is well organized at what they are doing. The food is average tasting. The staff is engaged with residents and do all of their focusing on the well being of the residents.

Overall we're very pleased with how things have gone with Sunrise of Scottsdale! They're very communicative and informative, and always let me know the instant anything changes with my loved one. It is a nice looking, clean facility, and the staff have all been very friendly!

The staff and administration at Sunrise of Naperville have been very supportive and have helped us to get my mother into the best plan available for her with the least restrictions. The care managers are very understanding and always pleasant. Although my mom is having a difficult adjustment period the staff and care managers are always very encouraging and help to ease her anxiousness. The difficulty mom is having has nothing to do with the environment at Sunrise but her wishes to be independent and in her own home at the age of 99 - things that are impossible. Her general health is fine but her emotional health is problematic. Yet the personnel at Sunrise continue to work with her to get her engaged and give her much needed attention. Although she is not "happy", she has high praise for the care she is receiving - she always says how nice the "girls" are to her and that they treat her so well. I don't think she will ever be "happy" but I know she is safe, warm, and well taken care of 24 hours a day. All the care managers are available to speak to me and to reassure me about how mom is doing - even though I call every night!

My 90 year old mother took to this community so well. She loves the companionship from the other residents, the friendliness from the staff and the assistance she receives each day. The staff is very attentive and it helped her fall into the routine very easily. She feel safe and comfortable and that's makes me and my siblings satisfied and very at ease.

We have been thrilled with the care my Mom has been receiving at Sunrise in Gurnee. At some other places she was at, she would not leave her room. Now, she is up and dressed each day, and participating at a high level. That speaks volumes for each and every person who works there. Thank you!!!!

I had to find a place for my Aunt who has Alzheimer's. She had been living with me for 5 years before I realized I could no longer care for her in the manner she deserved. A Place For Mom was extremely helpful in finding Sunrise of Plainview for us. They came to our home to evaluate her, I must say they were very kind and understanding of her needs. She is there now for 3 months and is doing great! The staff is very kind and patient with her. I don't worry that she's being abused and I can sleep well at night. I can visit and call anytime to check on her. The place is clean, and the grounds are beautiful. I can't thank them enough for taking a great worry off of my mind.

Thanks to Lakewood Estates my Dad is able to be with other independent people and yet have additional care when needed.
