Sunrise Senior Living

A great place for my Dad (92) to stay. Very attentive Nursing and CNA staff. Facilities very nice. Meals very diverse and filling. Great Communication between Family Members and Staff. Safe, Secure and Peaceful Place.

It's new and therefore it's clean and has a number of rooms to select - the residents appeared to be happy - the location for me is great - and the service goes all the way to memory care without moving to another facility. However - it is expensive - about $10K per year more than equivalent places - if you can find them and if you can get to them in NOVA.

[name removed] was very helpful and knowledgeable-very pleasant. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Lots of active residents enjoying common areas. Nice touches like big windows and wall ledges for helping residents walk are a nice feature of all Sunrise facilities. Menu looked good, and quiche they gave me after my tour was heavenly. Lots of activities, including gardening and art projects.

Clean, smells pleasant, friendly staff, lots of residents outside on rocking chairs and socializing. Friendly, pleasant feel. “Southern Genteel” style-homey, but upscale homey. [name removed] was very helpful and gave me lots of great advice. Nice, big windows. Common areas nicely maintained. Staff seems pleasant.

Good communication right from the start, they confirmed tour apt and were flexible with changing date. I really liked the facility and [name removed] was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with Mass regulations. Unfortunately, they could not meet our needs because we are looking for a long term solution and she advised me that no Assisted Living communities in Mass work with Medicaid and that a Skilled Nursing Facility (Nursing Home) would be our only option.

The people at Sunrise were amazing to work with when my 95 year old mother's stroke made it impossible for her to continue to drive and live independently in the home she had lived in for over fifty years. The care my mother received was outstanding. The staff was caring and made an effort to get to know my Mom. The provided me a wealth of information to help my Mom. Their cooperation was particularly valuable since I was coordinating her care from thousands of miles away before I could get back to Michigan and help her move in to Sunrise. Everyone from the sales staff to the care givers were first rate. I cannot recommend this facility with any higher rating. If I was not moving my mother to Washington to be closer to me, she would have been a permanent resident at Sunrise. Lovely place!

We were once again impressed with the Sunrise philosophy of senior care, drawing the residents into the community as a family experience. The homey atmosphere is such a positive. [name removed], Care Coordinator, is so caring and so committed to engaging the residents and enhancing their lives. The level of care seems well suited to our needs and there would be no need to change doctors. Attractive and affordable. High on our list of places to take mom for a tour.

Excellent staff and a very friendly community with a lot of activities. After my mom settled in, she has really enjoyed her stay.

Loved this place, [name removed] very nice, larger facility, plenty of activity rooms and pet friendly. May the community fee is free can be negotiated after it seemed like. Care costs vary on level, $810 a month to dispense insulin and other meds, does not accept Medicaid.

What a lovely place! I went on a tour yesterday and this is my take-away. Upon walking through the front door, there is a jigsaw puzzle waiting on folks to put together, the residents were having lunch and it smelled delicious! The dining area is set up with small tables and was very pretty and welcoming. The rooms are all good size (despite configuration) and allow the resident to integrate their own personal touch(s). There are different areas of the facility which have multiple seating areas which encourage the residents to leave their "apartments" and socialize. During my tour, I could see that some of the residents had an art class as there were painted birdhouses that were drying. There is also a lovely yard/outside seating area so one can sit outside to hear the birds chirp or simply feel the breeze and sun. The staff was warm and smiled at the residents as well as said "hello" to me in passing. The residents have multiple activities each day in which they can participate should they choose. There are also several areas with TVs where the residents can gather. They encourage family to visit, eat meals or even spend the night if so desired! The activities and meals are posted online, which allows you to ask your loved one during a phone call how lunch was or if they are going to participate in a specific activity. One additional item is that the residents can age in place (meaning, they stay in the same "apartment") until end of life. If looking/considering a place for a loved one where they can age in a safe place with an enriching warm environment, I would definitely look at this place to see all they have to offer.

Sunrise of Webster Groves was an amazing place for my grandma to live. The staff was nice, the food was good and the attention that they give the residents is great. If you are looking for an assisted nursing facility in Webster Groves, look no further.

A great place love the idea of a one floor for everything. [name removed] was very helpful and gave me a things to think about. I can see my mom being here.

This is my 3rd visit to Parkwood. I really love it here. I hope my folks make the decision to move to this area and live at Parkwood.

Sunrise Burke is beautiful but what makes me give it 5 stars is the excellent care my mother is receiving in the Reminiscence neighborhood. The staff is knowledgeable in memory care and very attentive to the residents needs. We are very happy with Sunrise at Silas Burke!

I can not express how hard it was for us to place our Mom. However, with the guidance of the staff starting with [name removed], [name removed], the nurses, [name removed], [name removed], the aides (my mom’s love [name removed]) and everyone involved with the placement and care given to Mom and helping us through a sad time. Brighton Gardens has an outstanding staff. The facility is a place that put a smile on mom’s face. Mom cooked an Italian lucnch for her friends (manacotti). They have many activities. Mom takes Zumba glasses, they sing, dance and go out on day trips. Holiday parties are awesome and the food is fantastic. There is always snacks 24/7 if your loved one gets hungry at night. Mom has made so many friends. We are all like one big family. I can not thank Brighton Gardens enough for all you have done for our mom. You all are a wonderful loving extended part of our family. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTING THING I FOUND, IS YOU DO NOT ALLOW US TO RATE YOU OVER 5 STARS! Bless you all! [name removed]

Beautiful community. Very clean, bright & residents we saw were all engaged in activity or relaxing with others. I could see my mother fitting in here.

Our mom passed two weeks ago peacefully at 95 years of age. It was gently the time for her. Our gratefulness for Sunrise of Granite Run is epic. After 30 years in Florida she was able to return home on the same road that my husband's parent built a house on in Gradyville thirty-five years prior. She wanted to spend the rest of her life close to home and she did. Sunrise was perfect as it looked more like a lovely hotel than assisted living and it afforded her comfortable days and friendships both with others like herself and the staff. We were grateful that they worked with us on her medication and care with ease. She was there for 5 years eventually moving to the first floor for memory care, and hospice was able to be with her for over three months right there without having to move her out. We cannot imagine a better place for Mom and what she needed. Trustworthy, kind, warm, and just right!

Sunrise is just beautiful. My sister and |I were very impressed. We will certainly keep it in mind although we would like something closer to west side or LaSalle On.
