Sunrise Senior Living

Hi [name removed], My wife and I took the tour of Sunrise of Frederick. It is a beautiful facility. The entrance with the activities rooms and the assisted-living sections were cheerful and well maintained. However, we found the memory unit to be a bit confining and it did have a slight urine odor, which may have been a recent issue which can be easily remedied. While discussing finances, I realized that my sister would only be here approximately 7-9 months before having to move her again to another facility which took Medicaid.

While the building is older, everything inside has been updated, is clean, no odors, and is well maintained. The too S are spacious and suitable for one person providing privacy and a sense of independence.

We are happy with the service and care my mother is getting there. She is getting used to it and seems to be liking it now.

Liked the front porch, homey feel of the building. Sunrise of Wayne seemed like it could be a good fit for my 93 year old mom. Services were explained well by [name removed] and they seem sincere about making her fit in with a balance of rest and activities.Tour was fine.

We have lived in Bedford Court Independent Living for over 3 years and we are so happy we made the move. Bedford Court feels like a real community with plenty of activities to keep us busy. We especially like bridge, the live concerts and trips. The programming is very interesting. The food is delicious and served restaurant style and there are many menu selections which change daily. The desserts are so good! We use the transportation shuttles to and from doctor appointments. It is very easy and convenient. Being a CCRC, we have experienced an inpatient rehab stay and the care and rehab was great. When we went back to Independent, they have in house outpatient therapies for the residents. We like the size of the community and it being smaller. It makes it very easy to maneuver throughout the community and make friends. Don't wait for a catastrophe to happen...make the move now and enjoy yourself!

I gave this facility a 5 star rating for its ability provide care from assisted living through end of life care with the appropriate resources, cleanliness, hotel like feel, and friendly staff. They also offer many activities for seniors, which is important to keep them busy and engaged.

I looked at many communities and Bedford Court was the most reasonable in entrance fees and monthly rates. It is a good value for the dollar. Terrific location close to shopping, banking and restaurants. All within walking distance. Staff are very friendly, always smiling and they know you by name. The Sales Department was especially very helpful and knowledgeable. The Maintenance staff are quick to respond and helpful. The food is very good. The menue gives you a variety of choices. I especially enjoy the Sunday brunch and special themed dinners. Apartments are nice and spacious and I appreciate the emergency call systems and speakers. I belong to the Trivia club, Comedy Club and Scrabble club. There area always a full calendar of activities and trips to enjoy. Friends are very easy to make and after 8 months I was elected to Resident Council, Member at Large. I am happy to contribute to the well being of our residents through the council. I am glad I made the decision to move to Bedford Court. I am very happy to call this community my home.

People living at Bedford Court are friendly and the staff couldn't be nicer, always smiling....delightful! I am very comfortable living at Bedford Court in Independent Living. Activities are numerous. They are always thinking of different and creative activities and trips. The trips are my favorite! We toured many communities and Bedford Court is a great value over other communities both financially and amenities. Life is ever changing and moving back from Florida this has allowed me to be near my daughters and family and be very active. I really like the diversity of residents that live in our community and I would recommend Bedford Court to anyone!

My mother has been a resident of Brighton Gardens at Florham Park for about a year. We could not be any happier with our choice. I visit frequently, several times a week, and have always found the facility to be clean, well maintained with a very friendly and caring staff. My mom has made many new friends, and enjoys all the activities, especially the live singers and piano player entertainment they often provide. She is very satisfied with the food selections she can choose from, especially the desserts! We have enjoyed the many “family invited” buffet parties, which seem to be a treat for the residents as well. No one ever wants to leave their home, especially after many decades of memories, but this place is a wonderful alternative. My mother is happy and in good hands.

When my usually "yappy" young grandson came to visit me for the first time at Bedford Court's Independent Living section, he was uncharacteristically quiet as we toured the facility, talked about the activities, and had lunch. Then he spoke up: "Grandma, you are on a never-ending cruise." Well, let me count the ways! Food: Continental Breakfast is a LIE. It is a full breakfast - eggs, variety of hot and cold cereals, pancakes, waffles, french toast, muffins, fresh fruit, breads and spreads, variety of juices and hot drinks. The lunch menu food is so good that people come from "outside" to do lunch. Dinner - 6 entrees available every day, 3 changing entrees daily, along with choice of 2 soups and 3 veggies, the best salad bar in town, a variety of drinks, and desserts to die for. The only problem is that I quickly gained ten pounds. Brunch on Sundays - I am uncharacteristically speechless. And the Bistro, with a monster machine delivering a myriad of drinks, and cookies for snacking. Apartments - a wide variety of layouts in one- and two-bedroom formats. Weekly cleaning, including washing linens. Activities - you name it, and it is available. Games, clubs, lectures, exercise classes, movies, concerts, and constant trips to local venues for entertainment and shopping. Now for two real "biggies" - communal living and considerate staff. All of the things I have mentioned so far would not "work" without an amazing staff. I am positive that helpful attitude is a major issue in Bedford Court's hiring process. It's like in Cheers - everybody knows your name. And your world will be enhanced by knowing the interesting people who live here, sharing life experiences and lively opinions. I am grateful for every minute of every day I live at Bedford Court. I am enjoying the wonderful quality of life they provide for me.

This is a terrific community. I liked the open airy rooms but I found [removed] to be equally wonderful and their move in incentives can't be beat. This is directly on my way home everyday from work so I think in the long run will be more convenient.

All of the staff were extremely helpful and experienced. Their expert knowledge made my mother's stay a better experience for her and our family. [Name removed], the director of Reminiscence is wonderful. [Name removed] was always upbeat and supportive and always accessible to assist our mom and answer our questions. [Name removed] is an advocate for her residents and an asset to Sunrise.

Amazing ! I moved my dad tp Pueblo Regent from WindCrest in Highlands Ranch and he loves his new place. The people are friendly and the staff amazing. This place TRUELY goes above and beyond. The food is always good. I have truly never had a better experience with such a group of workers and residents. Once you look you will want to move <3

Excellent property with a nice,smaller studio at a reasonable price.Very clean with all the amenities needed for assisted living.

Sunrise HP is a loving and caring community. The team is engaged with the residents and they do a great job. Standouts to us included [names removed] the entire team on the [removed] floor.

Fabulous - my mom is well cared for and loved.

When I could no longer care for my mother at home, my sister and I began searching various dementia care facilities in Grand Rapids. After two weeks of visiting several facilities we were disillusioned and sad. They were all too sterile and hospital like. Then we walked into Sunrise. It was welcoming and homey and we felt comfortable with mom staying here. Please research several places but make certain one of them is sunrise.

We love Sunrise of Lynnfield for Mom. She gets good attention there and the building and grounds are gracious. The Staff is friendly experienced and sincere.
