There is a lot of choices from activities to food. People are very knowledgeable. We toured a two bedroom that was so roomy and bright. We are excited about next steps. [name removed] was amazing as was the rest of the staff.

My mom has been at Sunrise for the past 2 years, most recently in their memory care section called Reminiscence. She receives the best care from friendly knowledgeable staff that go out of their way to keep her happy, comfortable and safe. She loves the food there and I notice many activities from music to performances to games that keep her mind engaged. I am so grateful for the wonderful care she receives and I cannot recommend Sunrise enough!!

The exterior and interior is well maintained. Public areas and dining room are spotless. Staff are wonderful to work with. Medical staff are always on top of everything. Food is excellent. Daily activities are very good. I am very happy with this facility.

The quality of care is excellent. The staff is caring and attentive to all of his needs. They are short staffed, which sometimes makes turn around time a little long - but the staff does everything they can to be timely.

You will not find a more loving, caring or accommodating home for your loved one. Their experience will be top notch. From the employees to the facility, you will feel welcomed and special. Compassion and caring truly sets this facility above others.

Brighton has literally brought my mom back to life. Everyone has made my mom’s quality of life better in her later years. The staff are caring and compassionate and have been attentive to my mom’s needs.

Sunrise seem to care about the patients and meeting their needs. I would definitely recommend Sunrise for family and friends.The employees seem to be more engaging with the community.

My husband has lived at Sunrise of Newton for a little more than a year in a transition from home due to physical and cognitive limitations. The facility is contemporary and lovely with large comfortable rooms and public spaces. The enclosed outdoor space is very inviting when the weather is good. The best feature is the staff - all are attentive, competent, and caring and seem to know the names of all the residents. The dining room is inviting with good food, attentive wait staff, and accommodations if nothing on the menu appeals. Additional group social activities would be welcome, although retaining social directors seems to be a universal issue. We visited a number of facilities when we were looking for a place, and this stood out.

While we look at these places for our mom one of the first things that strikes me is the way a place smells; no smell is good smell. Plus the common areas were tidy. We've walked into places that look like they haven't been cleaned in years, and this location is well kept. Think we will take a second look to try the food next.

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was to find Sunrise! From the time I made my first call to the community, through the signing of documents to entrust them with my loved one....Elated! The entire staff is so impressively professional and extremely kind. The sales mgr held our hand from start to present and promises to be there for anything that we need. The 4 employees that run the front desk are courteous and helpful like I have never experienced in a Senior Living setting. The Care Management group is superior to any other! In the course of moving in, we heard people using their call buttons and the staff was on top of their game. This in itself was confirmation that we had made the right choice. I feel confident that our loved one will be cared for as if she were the only one in the building. The dining staff was also extremely attentive. The community is warm and inviting. It didn't matter what time I was there, all of the residents were happy and smiling.

Housekeeping seems diligent, both checking in on the residents several times/day as well as cleaning the apartment and laundry 1x/week. Communication with the family has been proactive and via multiple channels (email, text, phone call). Example: announcements about flu/COVID patients and revised visitor protocols wrt masks, etc. A shortage of carpet led to a delay when moving in, but that was beyond control of the facility. They could have communicated that better, but they adjusted the move-in date for billing. The meals seem well-balanced and appropriately sized for residents. My dad is a basic meat and potatoes kind of guy (nothing fancy), and the menu seems to match what the residents prefer. Seems like a well-run facility. Definitely the best that we toured and 3-months later, I feel very comfortable with our decision. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others.

Searching for an assisted living facility is a very emotional experience. A Place for Mom identified some communities which potentially met our needs. After visiting three and talking with others, we had a very difficult decision to make, as we absolutely loved two of the communities. The Director of Sales at Sunrise of Five Forks has been absolutely amazing. Reaching out by phone and text, he has been extremely patient and supportive. When we toured, he moved at our pace, allowing us to evaluate all aspects of the facility and answering all our questions without hurrying us. He has been quick to respond to calls and texts, as we struggled on which way to go. Other staff members have also been very supportive and encouraging. Of course there is nothing like a furry face and a wagging tail to let you know you are loved and appreciated. The facility dog is just soo perfect. Sunrise 0f Five Forks is a very special place.

My Mother has been living here since August. I love the staff! They are friendly and caring, always smiling. From our very first visit, I noticed how the staff spoke to every single person they came in contact with. They always have something nice to say and they make sure to update me on my Mother. I would highly recommend Sunrise at River Road.

SO FAR SO GOOD! Like on the old TV program "Cheers", everybody knows your name here. I would like to see a gym facility for PT.

My mom moved into West Essex last year, we have had nothing but good experiences with the staff. One staff member named Nurse [name removed], has been amazing. She has gone above and beyond for my mom. She has called her doctor when she did not have to, and has helped my mom remain as independent as she can be. The entire staff works very hard, but Nurse T really adds that warm and caring approach. I never write reviews but everyone should know this is a lovely place.

[name removed] is one of the most caring and considerate administrators I have run across in many years. I would highly recommend Sunrise of West Essex to those looking for memory care for a loved one.

I work in the industry and have had many interactions with staff. They truly care about the wellness and well being of their residents. I am impressed with the new ED. He is so easy going and really communicates with families.

I toured this facility and had a nice experience. Everyone was helpful and smiled. I would recommend. Clean and did not have an odor.

The staff went above and beyond to make my mom's transition as easy as possible. Very attentive to all her needs, the facility is extremely clean and the food is very good. Quality of care and personal attention is excellent. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.
