We liked the facility. It may be a fit for our sister. She would have to visit and look at it for herself. No younger residents, all over 80 whereas Emeritus had some younger residents.

I actually liked this place. I liked the security, social facilities and range of residents. There would always be someone at or above her skill level to socialize with. I was not happy with the fact that I may not be able to control costs. The budget has a cap. I know that this one starts at the higher end of the budget and may strip our ability to pay if she lives more than 10-12 months and continues to decline.

We toured with Sterling Court Roseville and it was a good tour and the facility was very clean and nice. The downfall was the room sizes. We looked at the one bedroom apartment and it was very, very small. It was not doing to meet his needs which is why we decided against this facility.
The staff was very helpful, and friendly. They had a huge amount of staff turnover up to executive director. Overall, they did a pretty a good job.

They weren't bad and they weren't good either. My father was in the nursing care unit and there was a language barrier. For the amount of money paid I did not feel like the level of care matched. The staff were very nice and helpful.

I have no complaints of how things had went during my tour of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the open floor plan and the variety of menu options as well as activities they had for the resident. The location was easy to access and had nice surroundings. It was just no the right fit for my mother in the end decision.

Brookdale Magnolia is a very inviting and beautiful community. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable regarding all of our questions. We chose another community because of affordability and the fees that would be charged were more specific with what we would actually use.

This looked like a nice clean community when we visited. They unfortunately did not have a two bedroom available. The living areas are tiny and it did not seem like this was an active community. The staff we met were nice and I would recommend taking a look at it.

My loved one's son toured this community and really liked it. They were all set to be her in but when they assessed her, they said they could not take her.

Overall the care is sufficient but room for improvement. Promises unkept. I'll be right back, never see Them. The food is improving so thank you. No easily assessable way to mail a letter. The front desk is a far distance for handicapped people. Why not provide convenient drop off boxes. Especially bad is the response from doctors. There has to be a better way to respond.than 24 or 48 hours. Imagiine doctor being in pain for that long.

The Grossmont Gardens was nice but needed some updating. The staff and residents were all very friendly and the tour guide took us around the building.

My loved one was at this community for a short period of time and they have a wonderful staff working there. The activity director was great--lots of fun activities tailored to dementia sufferers, including mini-concerts by professional musicians and dancers. The overall director was also lovely, making all sorts of accommodations for my mother, who is a severe fall risk unaware of her limitations. The director was extremely responsive and caring, always doing her best to make sure my mother was safe and provide the best care possible for her. Unfortunately, as hard as everyone tried, it was just not the right fit for my mom, who needs to be watch constantly. She ended up falling multiple times (luckily without lasting damage). In the end, we decided the community was just too big for her, and we moved her to a much smaller facility with closer supervision.

The activity director at this location is what sold me on moving my loved one into this community . He is absolutely outstanding and takes extra time with my father to make sure his needs are met . My biggest issues are promises that are not being kept, and the communication between the staff and myself. Unsure about the meals, may need more variety of meats made from chicken and turkey. Also, the closest hospital to the facility is terrible and is where my father is sent during emergency situations.
