Spring Hills

It was not a good fit for my loved one. It wa smore expensive and an older community.

If your loved one is mobile and can do things on their own, I would recommend considering this facility. If they need more extensive care or are not mobile, I would not recommend them. The staff is good about communication when you approach them with an issue or concern. The facility is pretty clean. They do have housekeeping and laundry services. However, they just shove everything in the closet and don't hang anything up. Not ideal if your loved one isn't mobile and things like that are hard for them to do for themselves. My biggest concern is that they have forgotten to give my loved one their meals quite a few times.

They are short staffed which has affected the quality of care. The food is atrocious from what I have heard, some of it is still frozen when it is served and they have to wait a long time to get served. I would be hesitant to recommend them. Initially it seemed really great and we thought it was going to meet all of our needs and they could provide the furniture so that was great. The marketing staff was wonderful, but we have been disappointed in the whole experience. I think they have potential, but not at the moment.

This place is alright.

Going through remodeling soon, didn't want my loved one involved in that. The public bathroom seemed to have storage in there as well. Everyone was very nice.

We're not feeling very good about Spring Hills Singing Woods right now. They just had a Covid lockdown, so all the residents were confined to their rooms basically, and nobody really came into my loved one's room to keep her moving or exercising or anything. And in general, aside from Covid lockdowns, I think they could have been more aware of how she's doing as well. But the staff I've met I think I are great.

They do have a lot of activities for those who choose to participate and the staff members have been very friendly and seem really willing to do thing but there is no follow up. We are paying for extra care services and due to the lack of staffing it is not being met. For what we are paying we think there needs to be more consistency and community to our loved ones and to our family.

Spring Hills Middletown provided a good tour. But their facility is a bit dated, and It just didn't have a real open, homey feel like I was looking for.

Our family was able to have an in person tour and we did get a decent feel for the community. However, at the time they had a lot of covid restrictions on the residents which is why we chose to go with a different community.

I feel we paid too much and did not get enough. The community was short-staffed. I would not recommend this community right now due to staff concerns. The community is a beautiful place and the food is not bad.

I wouldn't recommend this community to others. The staff here is poorly supervised.

I have been trying to contact them since November for things that she needs and I cannot get anyone to answer me and these are very important things. The TV's were off for 3 months and they did not fix it, they are not responsive or very slow when they do. Overall, I would not recommend the community.

It is ok. It is a quasi nursing/ALF. If you can walk, and care for yourself, it is an ok place. Since COVID-19, there are rules in place as they are following CDC guidelines, working with the health department and following corporate guidelines. That is a plus. However, those with dementia have suffered the loss of a hug, a kiss and close contact with loved ones. They are doing their best to accommodate families with window visits, patio visits, etc... however the time is short...15 minutes. I worry for those with dementia because they can’t remember what they have eaten, if they eaten, if they participated in an activity, I& they had a shower or a hair wash, etc... talking to the resident just does not provide the answers you would like to hear. The staff is pretty good but not all are the same. Communication regarding your loved one days does not happen unless you call and ask. Even if you do, you may get an answer or may not. I try not to overwhelm the staff in getting answers. I do know my loved one is not happy being there currently. It is tough to get old.

Some of the staff are great, and some seem a little clueless. It is more expensive for what you are getting. My father absolutely loves the food. The rooms are nice, but the outside of the building needs to be updated.

Older facility. Small rooms. Expensive fees for couples. Great location was a plus.

Things are going down hill, corners being cut, short staffing and poor food choices. The phone system has been down for months. Not all residents can use cell phones due to health reasons and family members haven't been able to speak to each other for weeks at a time over too many months. Recent experiences are unacceptable.

The community was nice and the staff did a great job with our tour all our questions were answered and it was nice and clean but we just didn't feel this community would be the best fit for my mother.

We had an okay tour of this community. Everything went well, and the staff was kind. The community looked nice from what we saw. I just didn't feel it was the right for us, but our tour went well overall.

I had a good tour of this community. From what I saw everything appeared to be well-kept. The community looked nice and clean. The staff I met was kind and helpful. There were many factors that played into where place my loved one. This just wasn't the community for her and her needs.
