Such a disappointment. Care is sporadic and haphazard. This is no oversight on showers or care. The caregivers ignore resident needs. I would recommend looking elsewhere. We finally did.

Nice place but no memory care, 'skilled nursing' available.

Apparently they changed ownership towards the end of 2015. There are a lot of new employees, most of which are just learning and aren't familiar with Alzheimer's, Louie bodies, etc. Nor proper care.

The Waterford is an ok place to put your loved one, however, their food isn't fit for consumption. Residents will not complain to the administrator because they are afraid of her due to the fact she has been rude them numerous times. They recently received a bad review from the health department, and their food quality continues to deteriorate. While the service and food continue to decline their price increases for residents continues to be 4-5% every year.

As a guest of Res. [removed], I was denied food service 01/21, after presenting a prepaid ticket, because I was not granted permission to eat by manager Peyton. Although I will continue to visit my dear friend of 30 Yrs., I will never eat there as long as Peyton is the manager.

There are some activities, but they do not try to get the residents to participate in them. My loved one did not have a good experience there. The initial impression is totally different from what they turned out to be. I would not recommend them for someone who needs more than independent living care.

No, period. Unimpressed, overpriced, 2 stars is being nice. Poor outdoors, ugly rooms and hallways, 8 year old building but seems like a 40 year old building, boring decor. Positives: fireplace, elevators worked.

In terms of how clean and friendly they are, and the food, it gets a triple A rating. This wasn't the best option for us. I think it is overall a good place, but they work very hard at misrepresenting themselves. They made it look like they could bring in affordable care, as conditions worsen, but it's all out of pocket, and depends on the care that is needed. They kind of misrepresented that there might be a stipend for living there through the V.A., and it's not quite like that. Don't just go on the assumption that medicare coverage is all you will need to live there. It is an independent place, and as an independent place I think it would be nice, probably more of a four. I would look into anything they say might be available to you, before moving.

I toured the facility for my Mom. I was not impressed at all. The apt. that they wanted to rent had doors coming off the cupboards, a ceiling vent fan had to be replaced, and the carpeting that had just been cleaned that had several bad spots that needed attention. If this is the way that they show a room to be rented then it is poor management and we won't be renting here

The facility is clean and my relative likes the food. And that is where the positive comments end. It is understaffed and the director is an expert at making excuses. Everything of value has been stolen out of the room. If you ask for assistance the aides will tell you that they can't do anything until the facility gets more money. Response times to the call button range from 30 minutes to 2 hours. In one case, the aides that answered the call did not know how to pick up a patient who had fallen. Complain about anything and retaliation is quick and expensive. The "sales pitch" includes all kinds of services but when it's time to renew the lease there are no services included in the monthly rent.

I toured The Jefferson with my daughter to see if it might suit my mother. It seemed kind of nice at first, with nice views out the windows, although many of the walls had dings and bangs and the overall effect was shabby. The saleslady treated us to lunch, and my daughter's coffee cup was dirty. She asked for another, and that was dirty too. And the next one. I looked at my spoon, and there was a defunct daddy longlegs stuck to it. The saleslady barely reacted, as if this is a normal occurrence. Needless to say, I did not bring my mother for a tour. The residence she ultimately chose has several refugees from The Jefferson. These people say that The J. used to be pretty nice, then went downhill.

Our experience with Peregrine's Landing was not a good one. My loved one fell twice at this community, and while the first was an accident, the second fall could have been easily prevented. We had to place her under hospice care as a result of the second fall. I would not recommend them.

During the time of our move in, The Jefferson was going through management changeovers and I think there have been three chefs since we signed the lease. The wait staff just walked off the site one day for an evening meal. Not sure what that was all about. There is only one elevator in the place, and when we've been waiting for the elevator to go to meals, some of the residents have been rude because they had to stop at our floor and let us on. On the positive side, the maintenance guy worked really hard and efficiently to get things ready for our move.

They have a lice infestation ONLY in the Memory Care Unit, we had to provide bed, and the water isn't hot enough to do laundry. They lost a $1500 hearing aid. My mother has alzheimers, and half the time she doesn't have her teeth in.<br />The medical care is good, medications are on schedule. <br />I was very happy to put her in there on the first of September; everyone was nice, and very informative, and it was all good, and suddenly it was not.

When we first moved our parents into the Waterford, we liked the place, location and staff, but things changed. Now this facility is extremely under staffed with the wait time for a calls to be answered as long as 30 to 45 minutes. Staff morale seems to be very low which leads to apathetic care for residents. This could be a great place, but the way it is now leaves a lot to be desired. I would not select this place unless things change with management

Prefer to not have all meals included.

Unprepared, or didn't bother to prepare for showing unit; felt rushed throughout the time spent, very little info shared about what they offer.Snow on walks/handicapped parking. Several concerns with this site. Affordable. Very good location in terms of proximity
