Along with dementia, my mother also has aphasia (which essentially means she has lost her ability to communicate). It's heartbreaking, but now that she's at Laurelhurst Laurelwoods, I have seen her socializing with people again. She seems happier and I know she's safe. The staff have been nothing but kind and supportive. I'm so happy she has a place in their memory care.

We love it here. The facility is pretty new and absolutely beautiful. The décor is beautiful, and it doesn't feel institutional in any way. Everyone is so kind. I have felt taken care of as much as my grandmother. It was a very hard thing for me to have to do to put Granny in assisted living. They gave me their personal cell phone numbers if there's anything that I need. I've had staff members call me on their days off to check on Gran, and I'm just so pleased. The food is great, and she loves the desserts. It's invaluable to me how they help my grandmother, and their rate is comparable to others in the area.

I am writing about a very special person {name removed}. When I started looking for a permanent residence for my sister-in-law my first and final stop was Cedar Bluff. From me met me at the door with a big smile, and gave me a good tour of the building. I know right then this is the place my sister-in-law {name removed} needed to be. When I need to know something about Cedar Bluff {name removed} is who I go to. He is very informative about all the policies and procedures of Cedar Bluff. We are very fortunate to have {name removed} taking care of our sister-in-law . Thank you {name removed}

Clean and inviting well grooming community environment.

Staff is awesome friendly helpful, location is great of main highway, shopping areas are close by. Older 15 year building but excellent care improving on what needs to be done often. Breakfast included with rent very good. Lots of choices for 3 meals if want them. Activities well planned and nice variety. Outings great with 3 kinds of transportation. Housekeeping is good twice a month. Having assistant living here if needed to. Not have to move again is wonderful. Rooms are big enough for walkers, wheelchairs and scooters family visits. Underground parking heated clean nice. Library is well stocked and arranged nicely.

Food is average. Activities are good, housekeeping is fair, staff is good. Grounds needs improvement.

Facility is more than adequate. Food is okay. Content in zoom activities to go to, like jigsaw, puzzles, enjoy residents and staff.

I have lived here for almost 5 years and will have no intention of leaving. The staff here is excellent and very caring.

Completed tour with [name removed]. After tour we thought yes this where we want mom to live. So we signed a lease [date removed].

After 7 years in assisted living at Vintage Gardens, we moved Dad to the memory care unit. His health diminished immensely during the pandemic. The move to memory care 9 months ago with the personal attention and care was a marked improvement for his overall health. The staff seem to love him, and he loves them right back!

So far it has been really good. We live out of state, but when we were there, it was easy to get everything together. They were very personable. The marketing director was outstanding in getting us going. She was very personable with us and spent a lot of time with us and with Mom to make sure she was comfortable. She walked with Mom to show her around, and when Mom said she had changed her mind, the marketing director and the supervisory nurse were able to talk with her and put her at ease. And then when my dad came to live there at a later time, they were able to put him at ease as well.
