Great experience

I just received a virtual tour on Facebook from Daylesford Crossing. Seeing the community again brought back such nice memories. My dad lived there for just over 18 months before he passed. I always intended to write a review to them, but never seemed to have the time. Now that I am quarantined at home, I seem to have nothing but time. Daylesford was like a life saver for us. My dad was not easy. He had dementia. He lived at another facility prior to Daylesford who asked us to leave because they couldnt manage him. Daylesford was great right from the start. They took the time to learn about dad and helped him through the adjustment period of getting used to a new place. The staff was extremely patient with him and seemed to not be bothered by things that the other facility struggled with. They got him involved with a group of men that he really liked. He took part in activities there that I never thought he would. I have peace knowing that my dad died happy. he enjoyed his life at Daylesford. He did not enjoy the other place at all. I thought it was just his condition that made him unhappy. Once we moved him, I saw that it was possible for him to be happy again. I give Daylesford all the credit for that. Its amazing to me how different the facilities were for right around the same cost.

Such a great place for my mother

My mother who passed away a few months ago, lived at Daylesford Crossing for three years. It was such a positive experience for her and for our whole family/. We are so grateful for all the friendships she made there with the other residents and with the people who work there. caregivers, waitresses and housekeepers, managers, every one was so wonderful to her. Before she moved in, she was spending most of her time at home in front of the television and she wasn't staying in touch with friends (many of them have died). Within a few weeks, she made new friends and they became very close. Towards the end of her life, she needed more care and they were very attentive. I'd recommend Daylesford Crossing to anyone. I miss visiting.

New Community with Everything You Need

My mom moved here shortly after they opened and LOVES it! She talks about it all the time when I call her to check in and seems to be really settling in. The food is top notch and one of the reasons I was happy she liked the community. A new community like this will have some growing pains but the staff communicates to residents and families if there are problems and sets expectations well. Now if I could just get my in-laws to be as proactive thinking as my Mom and move here!

Great staff!

First of all, the best thing about Sheridan is that the staff is wonderful. Cheerful, respectful and caring. My MIL has resided at the memory care for over a year and considers it her home. Her having “no complaints” is the best review we as a family could make. Also, kudos to Director [name removed] as we much appreciate her calm and caring manner. She is very hands on with residents and is experienced in navigating the inevitable twists and turns associated with dementia. The activities staff are pleasant and creative with crafts, musical entertainment, movies, brain games and general engagement. Thanks Sheridan!

Great Option for Senior Care

We moved my mom to Daylesford from another local Senior Care facility. Daylesford has vitality, a fresh and beautiful facility and caring staff. The activities director - [Removed] - is incredible. She proactively reaches out to the residents to ensure that they are participating and feel included. Daylesford isn't cheap but it is a good value.

We toured this community for care. We liked the staff and the list of the menu of healthy meals. The activities would have been good and we felt like this had a nice atmosphere for the cost of the care. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

Have friends who really like it there.

I know people who live at Plush Mills and they've been very satisfied with their experience there. One of them for a several years and one who moved in last year. They've especially liked the staff, the food, and their neighbors. They've made really good friends there and said the people who work there go out of their way for you.

Pandemic times

I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism of the whole team during this time of crisis. With a loved one in Memory Care, it is especially trying to not have physical contact for a long period of time. The directors and staff have done everything they can for us to maintain contact. I commend them for their efforts. [name removed]

Great Place

I helped move my parents into the Independent Living side last fall. My parents are very happy and rave how friendly everyone is there. The place is new, beautifully decorated, and feels like a hotel then a retirement community. The only downside is that the restaurant service is extremely slow so the wait to get served has been their only ongoing complaint.

I was able to set this up during a short visit by my brother and sister-in-law, graciously by your staff due to the time that you were celebrating your 10th anniversary. Our hostess was very good with providing the information I needed, but your facility was only our first visit to my local senior citizen location. My family is adamant that I move back to our hometown of Wooster, OH. I wanted them to see the facilities in DE county--nearest my large group of friends and my cadre of local specialist doctors. Thank you! I am just at the beginning of my "research" for this eventual need. You got me started on a very positive note!

1. 4 2. 5 3. 5 4. 5 5. 4 recent change in top staff caused a few hiccups, but new director is doing great 6. 4 but improving. In a year's time they had 4 chefs and lacked quality and efficiency. New chef offers improved menu and quality. My parents seem very happy with their dining experience now 7. 5 offerings are inviting, however my parents choose not to participate in much which is sad 8. 4 It's so expensive! But we have a couple there and the facility is new and so beautiful and clean. The facility was taken over by a new company over the past year and a number of the staff left from housekeeping, building maintenance, business mgr, chefs, and the director. It was challenging for awhile, but the new director has really made it right again.
