Sodalis Elder Living

Our family had an in person tour and we really appreciated that right up front they were able to tell us what they could and could not handle when it came to our loved one. The community does need some freshening up, but they were undergoing remodeling so we are sure it will turn out nice.

There is not a lot of diversity going on among the residents. That would be the only drawback for my loved one. The staff are pretty good but they could communicate a little better. The tour was great and they told me everything that I needed to know about this community.

So far we're happy with them and haven't had any problems. We chose them because the location is very near to us. For my parents, who might not need care year after year after year, it meets their current needs. And the cost was not prohibitive.

We chose Paradise Springs because of the convenient location as well as the price point. I think they could improve on the timeliness of the meals, it takes forever for them to get served because they are short staffed. A lot of things of the menu do not have a lot of nutritional value. The apartments are a great size. I would recommend this facility, especially for the price.

This community was very nice . It was a quick tour not too involved but what I saw was nice.

I've lived here with my husband for 4 years. very pleasant experience! wonderful staff, excellent food, lots of activities to involve many different interest. I've made some dear friends! thanks El Dorado! very caring atmosphere!!

my experience at El Dorado has been great. the staff is very helpful and pleasant. food is good and we haven't missed one yet. social activities are ok and getting better. overall a 9/10

A very nice community. They had good activities for the residents. My loved one was needing more care than they could provide at the community.

This community was good but too far away for my loved one. Also they did not do transport to doctors and that is why we had to decline this community.

We chose Sodalis Texas City mainly due to the convenient location. The room sizes at the facility were very nice. The friendliness of the staff was definitely the best part of our whole experience here and is something that stuck out to us the most. They were amazing, even during his last month here. I would absolutely recommend Sodalis to other families looking.

I think the apartments are nice. They seem to be sufficiently sized. I wish there was a small stove or something so my loved one could cook some things for herself. But I understand why they don't have those, perhaps due to risk. I like that someone comes in and cleans the apartment once a week - that has been a positive. The one real negative is the staff are not very visible or available. If I have a question or seek them out, they do respond. But they don't seem up and actively involved in the community - they just kind of stay in their offices.

What really drew us to this community was the people, the residents there are wonderful. On our tour we got to speak with them and they all seemed to be similar in their health to what our mother was, we felt she would be able to easily engaged in conversation with them. They all seemed to be pretty mobile. The staff were very willing to answer all the questions we had and did well keeping us informed all the time. She was only their for respite care but at the same time she moved in they hired on a new activities director which was great because she started out immediately wanting to get the residents more involved with one another. The facility itself is also very nice.

I think it's a good facility, and my mom's apartment is nice. They have a maid service that comes in, but sometimes I notice they haven't dusted. The people there are extremely helpful, and they call you if something is wrong with your loved one. They offer a lot of activities. The food I've tried has been good. I thought it was flavorful, with good size portions but not so big as to be wasteful. And my mom seems to like the food as well.

we toured Madison Estates and had a good experience. the rooms were a bit too spacious for my loved ones preference. we chose another community because Madison Estates was a little above our budget.

We chose Madison Estates because of the value of the money as well as the friendliness of the staff members. The apartment my mom has is good size for her, they have various sizes you are able to choose from. My mom loves the maintenance staff they help her out all the time whenever she needs it. I would recommend to others looking.

Our family had an in person tour and Madison Estates is a little bit older, there is more obvious maintenance issues that were visible that needed repairs. Also the apartment units were older which is not necessarily a bad thing, but for the price it just did not make sense to us. The staff however were extremely friendly.

We had a good tour experience with Sodalis, I just knew it was not going to be the right fit for my mother. They also did not offer memory care
