Sodalis Elder Living

We really the layout of the community and all the decorations it is all very cute. However our loved one does not like the taste o the meals because it is not really seasoned but the service is really good. we do think they could be better about knocking on the door before entering our loved ones room.

We had to move quickly. The residual effects of my illness made it impossible for me to return to our apartment. A counselor at the rehab facility helped us look at a few places. Due to my condition, we were unable to tour properties. We chose The Bentley mainly because they had home help services onsite via an outside company and they had onsite physical therapy.

The sales lady [name removed] was just awesome she gave us a great first impression. We really liked Sodalis Martinez but of their shuttle service - our love one has a scooter and this community was able to facilitate doctor trips for our loved one using their transportation and they are able to send a nurse with our loved one. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

I would recommend you look into the community for your loved ones. The friendliness of the staff and the director or nursing is very understanding and knowledgeable. The Activities Director is amazing at getting the residents involved in the activities and decorating. We love our experience here. The staff truly get to the know the residents and family during the stay. My loved one really enjoys the food offered. There are three meals a day served, and if the resident doesn't like what is being served they can ask for something different. Some of the activities available include: bingo, a courtyard for walking, gardening, karaoke, and more for the residents to participate in. This community is amazing! The community is on the smaller side with approximately 50 residents.

I would recommend Sodalis Deer Park to others. Overall, the dining is ok. Though they don't have salt and for awhile it seemed the food was dry and hard. But that has definitely improved lately. The staff is good. Facility is clean. They do seem to have limited activities, I haven't seen much. They also seem to be short handed a lot of the time, but our experience has been good so far and I'm satisfied with the facility.

My dad has been there for a while now. There have been changes in management but they have always tried to accommodate and help.

Overall I feel mom is well taken care of. However, she has commented on aspects of facility, care & food. She arrived just as a major remodel started with facility and staff changes. Hopefully all will soon settle to a consistent, quality experience.

The staff really tried to get to know my friend and paid attention to him throughout this transition. In other words: they made him feel welcomed. A lot of the residents who seem to have lived there for a while did the same as well. It's really the people of the community that have been best part - and that's both the staff and the people living there.

Having a caring, educated place where the elderly is well taken care is a blessing in disguise and Sodalis is definitely the place. They go above and beyond on every aspect of how elderly should be treated. With respect and admiration. Thank you for all you do.

The every-day caretakers I was very impressed with. The senior administration was heavily money-focused. I found the initial onboarding to be a frustrating experience. Overall I would recommend Sodalis-Stone Oak to other families.

So far everything is good at Sodalis, only thing I would say is they are maybe a bit short handed on staff. They need more staff.

My mom loves Copperfield Estates. She is happy there. The cons have been the food and not as much promised entertainment that was originally discussed. The Activities Director position is replaced every year, and it seems that they can't keep this position fulfilled. They have had live entertainment twice since my loved one has been in the community. The main activity they have is bingo and now some residents are calling bingo for other residents. They were supposed to have live entertainment, arts and crafts, and games. The menu is given weekly to the residents for them to choose and a lot of the choices have been changed on the residents several times a week. For example for lunch it would be a chicken sandwich and it ends up a hot dog. The residents are burnt out on the same food being served several times in a week. The activities and food options have been disappointing as the promises that were made are not being fulfilled.

I toured the community the other day and I must say [name removed] the lady that does your tours is so personable. We laughed and even shared a few tears together. She reached my family and I and I could not be more thankful for our encounter with her. Even though my Mom needs skilled nursing, I loved the experience with her and the time she took to just let me explain and vent.

Pinewood Hills was our first choice over others that we looked at because of the location and also the value for the money. The apartment sizes are on the smaller side, the one my loved one has is a studio but I have not seen the others. I do think that they could improve on the consistency of the meals.

Our family had an in person tour and we really appreciated that right up front they were able to tell us what they could and could not handle when it came to our loved one. The community does need some freshening up, but they were undergoing remodeling so we are sure it will turn out nice.

There is not a lot of diversity going on among the residents. That would be the only drawback for my loved one. The staff are pretty good but they could communicate a little better. The tour was great and they told me everything that I needed to know about this community.

So far we're happy with them and haven't had any problems. We chose them because the location is very near to us. For my parents, who might not need care year after year after year, it meets their current needs. And the cost was not prohibitive.

We chose Paradise Springs because of the convenient location as well as the price point. I think they could improve on the timeliness of the meals, it takes forever for them to get served because they are short staffed. A lot of things of the menu do not have a lot of nutritional value. The apartments are a great size. I would recommend this facility, especially for the price.

This community was very nice . It was a quick tour not too involved but what I saw was nice.

I've lived here with my husband for 4 years. very pleasant experience! wonderful staff, excellent food, lots of activities to involve many different interest. I've made some dear friends! thanks El Dorado! very caring atmosphere!!
