Since my brother first moved to The Gardens of Virginia Beach, the faculty turnover seems to have been high. Because I live out of town, it's difficult for me to speak with someone at the facility concerning the status of my brother. I must say though, that the permanent staff did work with him patiently to help him get adjusted to his new surroundings. Overall, the facility has been a good place for my brother to live.

Muncie Estates has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and are always available to answer questions about a patient's care. [name removed], the director of Muncie Estates, had been very helpful and honest in helping us find the best fit in care for our dad. She has been very knowledgeable and patient with us as we ask a deluge of questions to better understand his medical needs, insurance coverage, and other programs available to help in his care. I would highly recommend Muncie Estates to anyone looking for a safe, friendly home for their loved one!

The director and her staff are compassionate and caring. A work together with the caregivers providing safety and comfort and wellness: physically, mentally and spiritually, understanding and patience is provided to every resident. Dietician-designed meals vary daily and can be catered to individual needs as needed. I'm relay of knowing my wife is safe & well cared for.

Every employee is pleasant, helpful and engages with residents, seamlessly adjusting the interaction such that it is appropriate to that resident. During my initial tour, I asked about hiring. The answer resonated with me as they said “we look for attitude, aptitude and people who care, as we can teach and they can learn the rest. It is all about the people. Similarly, for employees, it appears they do not view this as a job, but rather a vocation chosen because they care about the residents. It feels like they derive their fulfillment, as many of us do, by giving and doing for others. Employees are positive and always smiling. When asked a question, the answer is always “not a problem, we can do that”. That is so very refreshing. As a result of the genuine care provided, mom is very content. I could not be more pleased with the decision to have mom come to Winterberry Heights.

We would highly recommend it to others. My mom went from living in her own house to her own apartment at Stratford Court. She loves it. The staff is awesome!

The Forum at Knightsbridge is just an overall great community and based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

My father was previously a resident at Somerford House and Place of Newark and we were very pleased with everything about the facility. Unfortunately my father passed away recently, but he enjoyed his time there. The facility was a little pricey, but the entire family feels that we got our monies worth. Great facility.

We were very pleased with the care & individual attention our father was given. The staff was attentive to his needs. We witnessed the staff interacting with residents. The facility was very clean and the food was good. Our father felt cared for.

We have not had much yet in the way of patient/resident care.. The food is good and the wait time to get your meal is not long. There are a lot of activities but at this point in time, mom makes the choices not to participate. It is the cheapest in Columbus. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

We didn't know what to expect when our father moved into an assisted living facility after living on his own for almost 100 years. He moved in about 3 months ago and is adjusting amazingly well. He has freedom to roam the beautiful premises inside and out and stays busy with the scheduled activities and transportation provided for outings. There's even a Chapel for services. He loves the food and seems to be healthier since he's moved in. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and caring. It was a great decision.

MY FRIEND MOVED TO MULBERRY GARDENS IN JUNE OF 2023. I CAN NOT BE PLEASED WITH THE CARE HE RECIEVED. THE STAFF WAS VERY CARING AND ATTENTIVE TO MY FRIENDS NEED I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MULBERRY GARDENS

Entire staff was very helpful and caring. Her issues were their issues and they did everything within their power to accommodate her.

Facility offers apartments with one bedroom dining room bathroom combination, which is one of very few like that in the area. Most assisted living facilities provide clients a room with a bath. One of very few assisted living options that offer an apartment style setup, not just a single room Only negative is that cost is not supplemented by state government programs, only private pay and insurance.

I was in a situation needing to locate a facility immediately for my mother. Brookdale was very caring, willing to work with me, and facilitated all necessary items to expedite the admission of my mother. She is now in a one-level apartment with a living room, 1-BR, bath, and kitchen with furnished appliances. They provide all of the needs for my mother: cleaning, laundry, cooking, and even taking care of her medications, while making her feel she is living independently. This has been a godsend for my mother and my family.

We used Aspen Ridge for respite care for my mom and it was a good fit for her. Welcoming, friendly, place. I would very much recommend to others.

My mother is very happy at the facility. The staff treata her very well and I have no worries or concerns at this point. I would recommend this facility or assist living to everyone who has a love one that needs assist living placement.

We are so grateful to have found this fine place for our family member. Every step of the way there was great info, consistent support, and for every question a clear and readily available answer. After 6 weeks of living at Forwood Manor, we continue to be impressed and grateful for the staff as well as the beautiful buildings and grounds.

I like the ambiance of our neighborhood. People are very friendly. Good service. I like the feeling of security. We have a lot of fun with our excellent activities. Natural beauty of our environment.
