We have only positive, complimentary thoughts about Elan! Everything has been great here! Almost too good to be true --except it IS TRUE !! [name removed] has been here 3 1/2 months now. 1. They will do anything within their policy to accommodate residents/family wishes. 2. The facility is fairly new, but looks brand new, extremely well-maintained, and extremely clean. 3. Administration personnel are extremely professional, knowledgeable, helpful, kind, compassionate. 4. The aides who assist the residents are angels! They are awesome! Their patience, tolerance, knowledge of best practices, and kindness are outstanding! 4. We needed to find a location that had "memory care" and allowed residents to 'wander' anytime. It is locked where they cannot escape, but has access to a very large area to walk/wander at will, and even go outside to a beautifully landscaped, closed-in courtyard with a cement walkway. (This was a major consideration in our decision!! ) The courtyard also has covered areas with tables and rocking chairs to relax and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. In the center of the courtyard is a birdfeeder where many birds come to eat, and the residents can enjoy watching them. 5. The meals are prepared by chefs and are delicious.! Meals are well seasoned, and not bland like in hospitals. They serve plenty with hardly any repetition of menus. 6. Because my husband has severe hallucinations which cause danger to him, they allow me to stay in his room to keep him safe. And often, they bring me meals too. I have been sleeping in a recliner next to his bed for almost 3 months! 7. A good-sized, private room, with private bathroom at Elan-Corpus Christi costs me almost $400 less per month than Gulf Pointe Plaza in Rockport for a 8'x 8' space in a semi private room/bathroom. And this place is so much nicer. 8. On the other side of the facility is 'assisted-living', which some people may be interested in. 9. This facility has a beauty shop, and art room with art lessons, and all sorts of activities and gatherings, including for their families occasionally in the evening. Our family and I definitely recommend ELAN Corpus Christi to families looking for the very best place for their loved ones. We are thankful that "A Place For Mom"recommended that we tour ELAN-Corpus Christi. It has been such a blessing for us!

Mom has been a resident at Elan for 5 years now. She will be 94 years old this year. She loves her room and does not want to leave the facility. She has had many friends come and go but some have been playing bingo with her for over 3 years! The staff is compassionate and helpful to our family. Mom loves the food. We have been blessed.

I would say a "5" on all categories! Editions of Saginaw is a beautiful facility with an awesome staff. We have been extremely happy with all levels of service- too top to bottom!!

Our mom [name removed]was not a resident very long due to her illness. During her stay with Elan the staff was exceptional with their professionalism, courtesy and respect for our mom. Mom enjoyed the few days she was able to communicate and experience the different activities. She was very happy with all the nurses and hospice care. We are sadden for her loss but know she left knowing she was loved by her family, friends and the wonderful friends she made at Elan. Thank you for all you did and continue to do with your residents.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and how clean it smelled. I've been in other facilities where patients are changed timely and the stench of dirty diapers fills the air. This was not like that at all. meals were cooked fresh and residents who were able to sit in the dining hall ate with everyone. everyone acknowledged our presence and made us feel welcome. the care was better than most places so I am pleased with the care. However, they were at times short-staffed and caused delays in providing timely care. for those who could participate, activities including singing, crafts and was quite enjoyable. [name removed] was provided great care in a private room and was a better value for the price than other places we looked into.

We were very pleased with our tour and meeting staff. When we brought mom to memory care, the staff were very kind and helpful. It was obvious to my husband and me that the staff exude a caring and loving attitude. We are very comfortable with mom being here and appreciate the staff more than I can say here! When we call to check o mom, they are kind and take the time with you on the phone. If they are busy and need to call you back, they are very responsive! WestMark is wonderful!

What we really like about The Westmark Senior Living is that they really make our loved one feel at home and we would recommend them to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

Initial tour was very thorough and showed all amenities available. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was explained to our satisfaction. Will recommend it to others. Access to facility was real good.

From the day a visited two months ago to today, I no longer have concerns for my mother’s care and support. Since my mom became a resident, the facility renovated floors, painted walls, and replaced lights. My mother tells me stories about her week as if she’s as if she is schoolgirl all over again. She’s done more in two months than the past two years after my father passed away. She made new friends and even won a dance contest. It is a facility where I could see myself one day.

Return of last month prorated funds kept by the corporation. It's going to take an attorney to fight this . Because of this I will not refer anyone. The resident care was good to excellent, but I would not recommend to anyone because as far as I'm concerned, they did not refund overpayments or prorated payments as stated in our contract. They are uncooperative and the facility does not help.

Mom was only there for a little over a month due to medical reasons. While she was there, I was pleased with the staff and community as a whole.

We moved my friend over to Elan after an exhaustive search of the area for a new assisted living. She needed more intensive care than what her current place could provide including chopped food and later on they would have to feed her. She had parkinsons and was in an advanced state. We moved her on [date removed] and they went out of their way to help her adjust to her new surroundings. As it turned out, we found out that we knew the chief administrator and chief nurse. Both had been at the old place where she lived and had left for new opportunities. They both were fantastic with the residents with their personal touch and empathy. We actually cried when they left. Unfortunately my friend passed a week later. Then we all cried. Elan is reasonable in cost and they care about the residents. Other facilities we toured were ok but most had double occupancy tiny rooms and cost the same for the services...they tailor everything to the needs of the individual.

The staff at Elan Corpus Christi is fabulous, which starts with the front desk to main staff, dining staff, to chefs. The add on care nurses, which my moms has, are over the top. Caring, loving and truly feel like family. House keeping is top notch. Her room is cleaned weekly, which is vacuuming mopping including total bathroom, also. Great service. Washing is included and daily even several days or sooner, if needed. Family night is once a month. Live entertainment and food provided by Elan. Elan is monthly themed decorated, which is so nice to see. The grounds around Elan are very well kept and manicured. The staff at the front desk is so helpful. If you have items shipped to a resident, Elan will deliver the items within the same day or next morning to the resident's room.

Your service was great for my husband. The staff were great and very friendly and professional. Unfortunately my husband was there for only 7 weeks before passing away. ELAN Corpus Christi community was exceptional clean, very knowledgeable on his needs. I would recommend this facility is very nice.

Everyone we have come in contact with have been kind and eager to help if we have questions. Very clean facility. The director visits the patients just to check on them. She keeps in contact with us by phone to let us know how my mom is doing, which really impressed me. Cannot say enough about how kind everyone has been to my mom. Even though she has dementia, she still makes it a point to tell me that the staff is so nice. Believe me, she is hard to impress!

The staff is absolutely amazing at keeping me in the loop and involved. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend Elan.

The staff all seemed very engaged and caring, the facility was clean, well organized and appeared to be well managed.

Staff is professional, and being a nurse myself, I was very observant. The facility is clean and I was surprised at how soon they 'learned' my loved one's ways or personality. They knew her wants and dislikes really quick. She's what I call stern not really a mean person, but she means what she says on those authority type of days (when she wants to be in charge). Staff is not offended, they roll right with it with kindness. I haven't really had to call or have anything to communicate. The move in was easy. There was one evening when dinner was pizza-maybe an alternative choice on that day would be better - she's old fashioned. You don't serve pizza for dinner, that's lunch, she told me. I would recommend this facility.

My cousin is the first resident in the brand new Edition-Saginaw Memory Care. Upon her arrival, the facility rolled out the red carpet! (Yes there really was a red carpet!) We were greeted by the whole staff, who were cheering and clapping as she entered. It was a very special and emotional oment! I am excited about having her in such a special place. The facility is filled with joy, caring, and love. My cousin visually looks better after the 3rd day. The on-site Chef is amazing and preparing very delicious meals for her. He sits with her at times to see what she likes or doesn't like. Foods are made from scratch such as baked goods, salad dressings, entrees, fresh veggies, etc. Special shout outs to [name removed], the administrator, [name removed], the manager, [name removed], the health director, plus all the other nurses, aides, etc. I am very thankful for this facility. Please consider Edition before you make a decision of placing a loved one. My name [name removed] and these are 100% my words and thoughts.

I am very pleased. It is relatively new so it is clean and in good shape. It is the best we saw i. that price range both for staff and facilities. The lowest price.
