Received email from Al and Julia on 2-6. Private rates $3700/semi private $3300. Met with Al at the Remington house. They own a 2nd house on Appelician Way. 6 residents in each house. Currently full at both locations; $3,700 for private room. One live-in caregiver and 1 each 12 hours. Very clean and quiet. Kinda small but do-able. Not much going on. Three people watching TV in living room; two cute house dogs!

Nice smaller group of residents! Director was very helpful and understood our current situation very well. Equally warm and welcoming.

Dad has been at Lexington since Feb. 1st. He is there during the day only at this time.

RN owned, who participates in residential care. Doorbell alarms on all external doors. Fire ext & pull alarms. Needs shower without tub in the way. Nice sized rooms. Patio. Staff 12 hr shifts. Looks like a god fit.

Professional, positive, caring attitude, clean house. A couple of the girls have been there for [removed] 1 CNA/MA (meds aide)& 1 other CNA, diff. weekend crew. Bryan & wife there 4-6 X wk depending on their needs, no nurse present except when hospice is in or visiting nurse comes. No comm. fee Sm. type B certified, 30 day renewable contract, $1000.00 dep. fully refundable minus damages upon leaving.$3400 to $3800 unless choosing one of the largest rms-$4000.00, set price doesnt go up. Baylor Instit. of Rehab 4 yrs, Priv. Duty Care 5 yrs. Phy. therapist for Tom Landry Sports Med BAylor, running this house 11 yrs. has church service every Tues morn, christian family ,has five kids, referred me to Chase Oaks Bible Church.

Met with the director. Does not allow pets. Beautiful house & set up. Room available is fairly small but has private bath. Capacity 10/one opening. 2nd house (Meadow) had larger rooms available, but not as "new" and all had shared baths. Capacity 9/currently 6 residents. Keep at 75 degrees. 2 shifts per 24 hr period-1@night, 2 during day. Cameras in public areas. No one available to give prices.

The staff is very warm and welcoming. The inside and outside is very clean and appealing. I am extremely happy that the staff has my dad getting out of his room to go and eat and socialize with the other residents. Volunteers come in and visit and talk about cars and sports which my dad really enjoys. The residents are mostly males and some have military backgrounds which my dad also enjoys. The meals are bland due to many residents having dietary issues. We did not know all of the questions we should have asked at the beginning, such as, yes he was able to smoke outside on a covered patio but within certain hours. There are bells on the door and the hours are a bit restrictive. There is a schedule set in place. The residents could definitely benefit with some planned activities. My dad's room is accommodating where he has his computer to do research, and he enjoys watching T.V. It is a small environment and my dad states that he is more comfortable there than anywhere else he has been.

This is a very nice community. The community looked well-kept,and tidy. From what I saw everything looked great. Our tour guide was kind, and informative. All our questions were answered. The experience went well.

It's going ok so far. The language barrier has been a real problem for me. I have a real problem when I cannot speak to the RN to get information, because they don't speak english very well. Any person in customer service should be able to speak English. As far as the caregivers go, we don't have a problem with that, and they are awesome. The management are the ones I can't understand.

We toured this location when looking into options for our loved one. The memory care here looked very good, but it was out of the price range that we were looking in. We were less impressed by what we saw of their assisted living area. It just didn't have a good atmosphere and it did not appear that many of the residents would be as social as our loved one likes to be.

Good communication with manager. Convenient location. Room was kept clean Food was fair. Not suitable for diabetic , few choices. Allowed a pet. Good for what love one needed at the time. Care was quite good.

Violet, a caregiver was great. Love the large open common areas. Found available room small, and there was a noticeable odor in that room only, which was puzzling.

My mother did not particiapte in any activities, she wasn't well enough. The reason we chose it was because it was more of a home place, it was the big kind of fancy places it was like being at home more. The food was good, it was a smaller place and there was more personal care. It was accomodating and everything was what they said they would do. We had no problems and I believe we would chose them again.

They need to have activities for the residents to participate in. When they told us about the chef. We thought, great! It upsets the residents as they see food going out to other places from the chef and they get low quality food. Staff is good especially, [name removed]and [name removed]. It would be nice to have a few people at night that speaks unbroken English so our loved one understands.

I moved my mom to Silver Leaf II because it is one level, easy wheelchair access, esthetically pleasing. She arrived able to bear weight/assist with transfers up out of bed, toileting, into car. There was no instruction or encouragement from staff in transfers. They either hefted her up and out or used a hoyer lift. Within a month she was unable to bear weight. We had one outing before it was unsafe. She continued to decline and died in 4.5mos. Residents needs are met, variety of foods served. Little interaction from staff except what is necessary. Few activities other than television. I cannot recommend this facility if a resident wishes to maintain functionality. There is no refund when a resident dies. They paid themselves a hefty tip at my mom's expense. One employee treated my mom exceptionally well. I will always remember her fondly and gratefully.

The staff turnover at Silver Leaf is unacceptable. And meals are not well balanced. There are too many carbs, not enough vegetables, and quality is poor.

It is a beautiful facility. It is kept clean. It is quiet. If your loved one just needs a nice place to age in place and has minimal health challenges and not a need to be overly social, it might be the right place. However, if your family member has complicated medical needs and/or high social needs, this would not work. The amount of activity is minimal. The medical knowledge is minimal and the staff is not proactive when medical issues arise. There is a communication challenge with most of the staff, the staff changes often, and the staff sleeps on sight so are not easily available overnight unless you provide a doorbell for them to use for your family member. The family member is safe and the staff are respectful. The food was not as tasteful as expected.

we are having some issues with the pricing - we were told one pricing but when our loved one moved in the price completely changed.
