The staff here is great. They are very good with the residents and they communicate well with us. The facility is always clean and maintenance does a great job keeping it that way. There are also lots of activities for the residents.

My dad just loves Meadowood Shores! Meadowood is the independent living side of the campus. He didn't want to move from his house but he realized he needed a change, just too lonesome after mom passed a couple years ago. We took a visit and he loved it. Staff and residents are wonderful! The apartments a large and clean, and the closet space is AMAZING. Everyone is so warm and friendly, upbeat and enjoyable. The social life for him is the best part, Playing cards, visiting with coffee, going places. No worries for us kids as they have taken care of everything and make moving in and living there a breeze. He is kicking himself for not doing this sooner!

My mom was here for a bout two weeks, but had to leave to go to full time nursing. She was going crazy with all of the really good food and got her diabetes into a mess. Esplanade is a beautiful place though, and they treated her well there. The community was very clean and the staff was always so nice. My mom just wasn't independent enough to live here. She was a serious fall risk and had to use a wheelchair, which was more than the community could safely handle.

Very quick to respond to requests if something needs attention. Other residents go out of their way to be helpful. Very close to groceries and pharmacy. Seems like everyone there is happy. They could maybe have a few more options for activities. They don't have a lot of space for some things. So overall they do good with what they have.

Admin staff is helpful, and easy to work with when solutions need to be found. Maintenance calls are billed, and expensive, and haphazard in quality (like hanging pictures) so find an outside vendor to put up pics or drapery rods. 1st - dinner hours are 4:30 to 5:30, which is too early. Mom doesn't like to go at 5, because she says by then staff is inattentive and trying to wrap things up. Ford itself is a matter of personal preference- but mom doesn't have an adventurous palate -- doesn't like ethnic food ( or spicy food). Some nights are buffet only, all themed food, which is, more times than not, ethnic or spicy, with no alternative offered. Level of activities and variety of activities is great, and good gym facilities. There's a nice pool butb waterv temp could be higher for older people to enjoy.

My loved one is very pleased with the care provided by the facility. It has made living 1500 miles away from here a lot less stressful. Happy to recommend Esplanade Gardens to care for an aging parent.

. Food service is slow but the food is good. Everything else is excellent. Located near many good resources. Our two-bedroom apt feels open and spacious. Traffic nearby can be noisy. Nice clean laundry room and many activities available. Nice entertainment activities. I hear waiting list is 6 months. I highly recommend this place. One other caveat is that the Hennepin medical Center and Pharmacy is attached to the building and resident/patients have a key to enter without going outdoors. There is also an exercise facility with staff in this place.

Vision impaired residents will struggle unless they pay for constant help. The front desk staff can be wonderful or rude, depending on who you get. Accounts payable is a mess. When a resident falls, the protocol is nonexistent, especially during meal time because they are busy escorting people down. Daily checks are completely hands off and are simply in place to make sure you are still breathing. They won't even bring you a sweater or pick your hearing aid up off the floor for you when asked.

So far on a hole it’s not bad. It’s actually very very nice very comfortable very clean. I can’t say that they were totally truthful with everything. They told us to begin with and then again it was such a whirlwind experience. I’m not gonna totally blame them. it’s still a little early to tell, but so far I think I like it.

I would recommend them, but assisted living gets very expensive very quickly. The apartments were nice, they had good activities and it was close to family

Always tour facilities. Not all fit all. For me, this was the best possible choice. I understand everyone has different needs. I am happy with choosing Esplanade Gardens. I toured many many facilities.

My mother in law really enjoys the activities. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My parents are taking full advantage of the best features of Village Shores, the staff and activities. This is a community that actually STAFFS its advertised services. It effectively encourages its residents to exercise, get out, and get together.

What we like the most about the community is mainly the staff. The maintenance man could be a little more patient I think but everyone else is great. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Village Shores feels like a friendly community with residents watching out for each other. Staff are also friendly but has a large turnover. There have been some issues with management level turnover for the past several months but hopefully that will settle down soon. The dining room even switched management and there have been some problems with short staff, no food and long wait times. Overall my dad loves this place! I just think that pricing for any good care facility is rather high. If my siblings weren't helping with the cost, my dad could not afford so nice a place. Very sad.

The main reason I chose Summit Place Senior Campus was because of the pool that they have. As far as the food goes, the meat that they serve is dry, the rice has nothing on it, and a lot of times the food is cold when it is served.

Environment, staff and food are all great! Onboarding was bumpy, and like any place, lots of kinks to work out in the first few months. Chose the facility for its location, price and availability of the room.

I am currently a resident at Village Shores and most everything has been very good for me here. My family, who helped me move in ,said that everyone they met was very welcoming. The staff is especially good. The administration is great. The exercise opportunities and social activities are excellent. I would definitely recommend Village Shores to others.

Village Shores has a broad selection of activities for residents of all stripes and the food is very good. Unfortunately, if your senior needs a lot of care, Village Shores is not for you. The Assisted Living services are limited and expensive. There is no buddy system or friend for hire on staff to sit with lonely, failing seniors. My mother is mostly blind, and there were no accommodations for that. The medical team is extremely limited in helping people who require care. If your senior falls in the lobby, no one is allowed to touch that person except a member of the medical team, and they may be otherwise engaged. The person on the floor has to wait. The assisted living daily check-in is just that and nothing more. They cannot chat with your senior, or bring something from one room to another without charging a fee. The accounting dept did not charge the correct monthly payment once during the five months our mother lived there. VS is great for healthy seniors.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful facility, and plenty of activities. I would recommend Silver Creek on Main to others.
