The tour at Bridgeway Independent/Assisted Living was the worst experience out of all the visits. The tour guide was unenthusiastic and unwelcoming. The Independent Living area is dreary, dark and uninviting. The hallways feel confining and like a maze to locate your room. The rooms are uninviting. The residents seem unhappy. They do not sound like they will work with me at all. The pricing structure is complicated. It makes your head spin. I felt like the entire plan would nickel and dime my parents. The nursing home is the only part of Bridgeway that accepts Medicaid. The Independent Living and Assisted Living do not accept Medicaid. To get Assisted Living services, it is an ale cart plan where help with every shower is $$$. They are not licensed to help with a colostomy bag. My dad may need help with his colostomy bag in the future. I would never encourage my parents to pursue Bridgeway.

We had a horrible experience at Bridgeways. They did not offer enough care for my father. My dad had a companion suite. The size was okay. The location was more the problem. He was at the end of a hallway and we had to go out looking for staff to help. My dad was in Memory care. Our biggest issue was we feel they neglected to care for my dad. Communication was a big problem as well.

As for Bridgway, I believe the hastened my mother’s death. Their care was called by her Doctors “negligent”. They failed to follow written doctor orders. Repeatedly failed to provide services. Laundry was turned pick and would disappear for two days. Bed went unchanged for 10 days. Residents spiked themselves when they were left in common areas with no attendants. Dirty carpets. Dirty napkins, silverware and glass wear. Service response time over an hour multiple times. The place is just a horror. I can’t say enough about the lack of management, the terrible attitudes and the total lack of compassion and care. I warn all to thoroughly investigate if you still consider this place. Talk to other residents most are terribly unhappy in assisted living. Negative stars are needed for this place. Run to not walk away from this place!

My dad transferred here from rehab (93 years old and living independently at home until a fall) and I'm simply at my wits end with the incompetence of the entire operation and delivery of assisted living services at Bridgeway. The sales and marketing pitch was fantastic, the residents seem friendly and generally happy, but what they "sell" you on AL and what is actually delivered are 2 different things. The AL staff simply doesn't show up when they say they will for anything - missed virtually every scheduled ADL assist, no meals delivered as agreed, 20 minutes to answer a call button, which is supposed to signify an emergency situation. Name it and they forgot about it or just didn't do it. They say "anything you need, let us know, or press the button, we're here for you" which is literally a flat out lie. We have tried to talk to anyone and everyone there who will bother to listen, including the director of AL who is fairly worthless, and she reassures us that this is either a one time problem, or will be addressed, yet nothing changes. Thankfully my dad feels like he can start do much of this on his own, and home health services can supplement the rest, so we will get to independent and not count on Bridgeway for anything. But for anyone who really needs actual ASSISTED living, look elsewhere. Such a disaster/disappointment here. I'm sure this level of incompetence is not unique, but that doesn't really matter. It's disgusting to treat people who depend on you in this manner. Either change your sales pitch, or change your operation. Deliver what you say, and stop over-promising. PS: The food here is the absolute WORST and there's not an ounce of nutritional value in anything I've seen here, so there's also that...

Bad experience. Would not recommend to anyone.
