Not much Medical Help - AND They Are Raising Rents 4.5% YEARLY! If you have Lots And Lots of MOney it's good.

I stopped in to get information about the facility and was turned away by the concierge because everyone was "in a meeting". customer service and first impressions are important to me- and I was very unimpressed. The building is pretty though from what I could see from the lobby but it also felt very cold and closed off.

Assisted living was fine, but memory care was not. Help was very nice, place was nice, but they were understaffed. Several times I went in, esp. in the evening, you wouldn't see a staff member for 10+ mins. Residents falling often. After numerous falls and our 2nd serious fall, we didn't go back.

Do your research and ask hard questions before making a commitment. My father had special needs that did not get met, and within a week both sides realized that was not the place for him. The facility is VERY nice, but don't let that fool you!

My Mom & Dad moved to DAL [date removed]. We were hopeful based on what we were told of the care my parents would receive, social activities, assistance to meals & showers 2x/week, laundry 2x/week, bed linen change 2x/week, minimum # of RNs/LPNs and aids per resident levels, etc. Very quickly it was clear this was not happening. Keep your loved ones out of this facility, which sadly seems to be how these facilities are operated. They tell you wonderful things but do not do what they say; rather they say what you want to hear & then totally fail to provide loving, caring, beneficial care. You have to maintain constant oversight; be a constant reminder to the facility/staff by calling, visiting & checking on them daily. Put Ring (or similar) video cameras in your family member’s rooms to help see what really is & is not happening. This facility does not provide true assisted living or proper human care. We could share a lot more, in detail, of our experiences, but no space here to do so.

Food options and dietary need/restriction plans were great. Quality of food and dining style great for assisted living/memory care. Facility was nice. Quality of care was horrible and let to us making an emergency decision to remove our loved one from their care. Filed complaints with the state for negligence and endangerment, and ultimately moved to legal assistance. What took us years to move toward and after visiting over 10 communities ended with it being a nightmare and fearful of entrusting care to another community. The facility is beautiful and fresh. The care and accountability from admin and executive level toward the needs of their care staff and residents was an epic fail.

They left my Mom's pills on the counter, told us she could keep her doctor in Silvis (she couldn't), would put her hearing aids in and take them out and then told me it would be an extra $[removed] per month.

They told us we could keep the doctor in Silvis, IL and after my parents moved in they said they couldn't do that; they left my Mom's pills on the counter and didn't make sure she took them; they told me they would put my Mom's hearing aids in and take them out at night and then told me there would be an additional charge of $[removed]per month; and they said they would empty trash every day and only emptied it after I called it to their attention after 4 days. I really should have called the state to report them.

What a nightmare, and ongoing. We moved my mother into the memory wing, and my stepfather into the independent living wing. Two people moved into a unit above my stepfather, they were making so much noise it’s rendered him unable to sleep and caused both a rise in his blood pressure, and other health problems. His attempts to fix the situation where met with skepticism, false promises, brazen lies, and no solution. This has been ongoing for six months. I was told repeatedly, including being lied to my face, that this situation was being “looked into.” It was not. Months later, I called the corporate Office in Tulsa, who promised to remediate the situation. There was one visit, a couple of phone calls, then ...crickets. My mother contracted scabies twice in under six months from the memory care facility. My stepfather is reasonable requests, to relocate, have been ignored and he was shamed for having made the request. I could go on. I have already made a complaint to the local ombudsman, I am about to make another. I’m really not the sort to complain, nor is my stepfather. Our experience getting any satisfaction from this organization has been hellish.

Moved my father from another facility ([removed]) that was HORRIBLE. No staff continuity. Big turn over rate. My fathers clothes were not getting changed. Medication issues. Too many screw ups. Didn't feel my father was safe there. I'm in medical field and saw some potential hazards to my father's well being! Wexford heard all my concerns from the previous ALF. They assured me they would be nothing like other. I had looked at 7 different facilities before finding 1st ALF ([removed]) Didn't see Wexford originally in my initial search since it was a little further from my home and I wanted to be close to my father. Wexford came HIGHLY recommended. Guess what... SAME ISSUES AT WEXFORD!! Big staff turn over. MULTIPLE MEDICATION ISSUES. Facility itself is beautiful. They have some great techs at first. most went from full-time to a need basis-PRN. Mostly due to poor management there. Had to meet with their corporate office multiple times with my concerns. They are making attempts to get my trust back but I'm not sure that will happen! They are working on strike 3 and I'm being generous!!

We used both the independent living, and the memory care here. I thought it would have better care, or at least pay better attention. They didn't really know her. It was not a good experience. The food wasn't very good. It's a beautiful facility and location, but that's not the important part. They don't communicate when they reassess, or raise prices and rates. They would hire a caregiver, and the next day they would be gone.
