Really nice but may be too independent for my dad. Assigned seating in dining room, but larger tables. They choose all meals for the week, which would be good.

They had great people here. The community was not as nicely decorated inside. It had an intuitional feel to it.

The Kenwood BY Senior Star is an impressive facility with a very professional staff. They offer a "Memory Care" unit which was necessary for my wife due to her advanced dementia. Although they were the most expensive of the 4 facilities that I toured, they seemed to offer the most comprehensive care and had the nicest building and grounds. The rest of the family and I are still evaluating the individual caregivers to be sure that they give my wife the respect and patient care that she deserves. The people that helped with the transition into the facility have been great! Another key factor in the choice of The Kenwood was its proximity to family members.

Not real familiar with the activities. A larger outdoor area would be nice in the summer time.

They need more staff! The administration needs more empathy!

We have limited experience with other facilities. Happy we picked this one. Lower cost one ($[fee removed]k) was bad all around. High cost one ($fee removed]k) didn't seem to be worth the price. This facility is well kept. Staff is friendly. Our family member is pretty cantankerous and refuses some care but it is usually offered. We've not had much interaction with the admin. Facility has a kitchen and provides a menu to choose from. Kitchen will usually provide things not on the menu if asked. Many different activities are available.

I would not recommend. Marketing director cited low staff turnover and best dining in Tulsa... none of which turned out to be true. I received delicious fresh baked cookies on several visits; found out such fresh items are not available to residents, just visitors. They are one of few facilities with studio apts.

The facility is beautiful, rooms are great. Not many residents in memory care yet since it's a new building. It will be better when more move in. Never got the message that residents are in charge of providing their own toilet paper. Now we know. My loved one is a challenge, so I'm very thankful they are there to care for and help her. Brings me great piece of mind.

The tour was nice and everything looked fine from what we were able to see, but it was more costly for less amenities provided which was the reason we did not go with them.

Currently, the rental price is excessive because of deep cuts in services and amenities due to COVID-19. Food service has many problems: limited, unchanging and pedestrian menu choices. A quarterly survey of residents would be helpful in this regard. A more flexible menu would meet the needs of residents as some require increased food amounts while others require less.

My parent stayed in this facility for 3 months during a long recovery and I have mixed opinions. The administrative staff was very kind and personable. They seemed to have the residents' comfort in mind and know the residents personally. They responded quickly when there was an issue with care. The nursing director was very good and followed up on a regular basis. The floor staff took care of a lot of rooms, so sometimes hard to locate if needed. The dining was our most negative experience - many meals were over-cooked, soggy and not appealing at all. The custom-order snack menu was very limited. Because of this, maintaining weight was a challenge. We discussed this a few times with the management but no measurable improvement. For the price, I expected a little higher level experience and probably would look elsewhere if we need this type of care again.

I'am comfortable with my father move to this community. He is moderately well, but they are taking good care of him, and his needs. It has been a pretty good experience. Overall this is a community I would recommend, it is working out pretty well for my family.

I had a pretty decent tour of this community. It is a nice community. From what I saw the facility looked nice, and well-kept. The staff was friendly. They recommended I place my mother in memory care, and I didn't think that was a right fit for her. My tour went well, but this was not the place for us.

Management has declined significantly. Activities are so so as long as you like to play cards and Bingo. My Mom's biggest gripe is the food but I can't blame her. Everything is heat and serve. Not worth the money.

We were assured that her condition would improve, instead it declined. I was concerned about this moving in, especially because of the large non-refundable community fee. They assured me it would not be a problem, but now they are asking us to leave, because they are not able to provide the care, and there will be no refund of the community fee. I like the facility I wish we didn't have to leave it. The administrators seem to be the problem. The nurses are great. It's always very clean, and the food was fine. The daily staff has been great. There were some discrepancies in the care file, but I think that also has to do with the administration.

This place did not seem like it would be a good fit for Mom. It was very large, and would have been difficult for Mom just to get around, there was a lot of space between the rooms and the common areas. The furnishings also seemed outdated, I noticed that instead of specifically built walk-in tubs they had modified the older tubs to be slightly easier to get into.

The staff here is really nice and attentive to the residents. The activities could improve i heard they left a residents at the store once. The food is good but its the same thing every week. Management is horrible Dorothy to be exact. Every time i talk to her i get the feeling she is annoyed. She rolls her eyes alot and talks down to her staff. My mom loves living here but tells me not very good thigs about Dorothy the administrator. This place is overall about the money.
