The staff are very supportive and friendly - they are outstanding. The facility is very clean. There are many vets here and it is next to the Little Creek Navy Basse. The restaurant is good and has a great selection on the menu. There are many scheduled activities. It is expensive, but I thought worth the money. They are building an assisted living building next door. It is worth the time to check out!

What we like most about North Shore Place is that our loved one is safe. Being in a community with nursing staff on each floor is good. The meals prepared are very good and the staff members are friendly and kind. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend the community to others.

Our Activities Director at the Sheridan of Oak Brook rewards its residents with numerous wonderful activities and events that result in large crowds. One significant activity, a favorite of mine, occurs annually and is identified as “ Show and Tell”. Residents are encouraged to bring to a gathering, a special item to share with others attending. They are to bring along a story of why the item is important to them in their life. Often it’s a photo, memento or keepsake that has special meaning to the resident . I’ve been to two of these and love to hear the stories and expressions of joy, sadness, emotion within the memory associated with the item presented. Usually the story brings tears from those in the audience. No doubt it’s a meaningful program and well attended and appreciated by all. It seems to bring a closeness fo those here and hugs afterward. We’ve all been involved in “ Show and Tell” as youngsters, but these stories in our later years are very special

5 stars all the way around! Everyone here was very friendly, they were wonderful as my mom was recovering from surgery. Having custom home care on site to do medication management has been a game changer too. She has a studio apartment which is very spacious and great for what she needs. Mom really likes the food and has been really engaged in the activities that are provided. I would recommend Lincolnwood Place.

Addington Place of Stuart is constantly finding new ways to stimulate their residents!! Particularly in Memory Care, the hardest group to entertain and stimulate. Art, music, theatre, reading, games, gardening, (Moms favorite, the veggies are growing). Most of all is the stimulation of LOVE. The extra moments that most of the caregivers provides makes all the difference!

I would highly recommend this independent living residency to family and friends. It has CHANGED for the BETTER. So many activities, excellent quality food and many outings to Wegman's, GEVA and Red Wings games. Wonderful location right next to the Y.

We picked this community, because of the price and location. Also, we had family at this facility before. I would recommend to other families. It's well organized and they communicate well.

The staff at Moorehead Place is very friendly and compassionate. They answer all my questions immediately. My mother is very very happy with the staff.

The staff seemed very caring. As my mother descended into death, they were very compassionate. They even offered food to me because I was there a lot.

I would say the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. They really do go that extra mile to accommodate their incoming residents. I had a lot of questions and made a lot of visits to the Sheridan before selecting them and overall, I really liked the facility as it was new and it was very clean and well-kept/beautifully decorated. The food is very good. I've eaten there quite a few times with my mom. She had some health difficulties when she first moved in, but I stayed in touch with the staff, and they were great and accommodating and always answered quickly. I would definitely recommend the Sheridan. It is a bit pricier than some facilities but my mom loves the new atmosphere and design of the facility. They have a lot to offer the residents if they chose to get involved. Another great thing is that it's a rather small facility, and the staff knows every resident by name and also pays attention to how often they see them and if for some reason they haven't seen them for dinner in a while they go knock on the door and check to make sure everything's OK and that's comforting for me.

We did see Wordmark at Uptown for a tour and it was a beautiful facility with seemingly great amenities, but unfortunately they were out of our preferred price range. They were all very helpful though!

My husband has been a resident of Canfield place for over a year. The care is exceptional. The environment is very welcoming and I cannot express what a blessing CP is. Many years ago my mother was in another assisted living place. Because of her experience there, I dreaded when my husband needed to move into assisted living. But his experience at Canfield Place has been enormously positive. The nurses and aides are truly caring and feel like family. The leadership is entirely committed to putting residents first. Any concerns are acted upon quickly and residents and their families are heard, respected and honored. This is a truly remarkable and happy place.

The care and concern for your loved ones is top notch. They treat their residents as individuals and are very responsive to their needs. Their communication with the responsible family member(s) is also superb. Highly recommend this as a place to care for your human treasures.

They are still a work in progress doing the best and staff is hard to find. With life you have to adapt and accept good and bad on all levels. I had a really upsetting problem here that lasted over a 5 day work week and that was not good. I was very ruffled and anyway - I'll let it go. But my son did say something that felt good and bad to me at same time. He said I want you to have a place where I don't or you don't have to worry about moving every year, etc. and you have easy access to healthy meals etc. As I think back on his comment I know how right he was. It was out of love. Hope that makes sense.

Tyler Creek is amazing. Great Activities Department! Food is good with lots of options. Nursing care is very nice and helpful. They offer trips to different stores by bus!

The staff are patient yet responsive and thorough throughout the entire pandemic and our loved ones sickness. We had to request maintenance to clean and make minor repairs in the villa, but overall the community is clean. From sales to support the staff members are great. We cannot comment on the activities because our loved one has not experienced them yet. It was the most expensive option but so far value for cost seems reasonable

We've only been happy with Addington Place so far. I'd rate it all 5' stars. The director left last month so I don't know if or how things will change in the future. But they have my mom out in the common living area every morning participating in the group activity (ie keeping a balloon in the air using a pool noodle). Her room is always clean, her laundry is done regularly, she is able to have a haircut on a regular schedule. The staff know her personally. And they're really good interacting with my mom and the other residents. They also work with us on medical issues, doing what's best for my mom (the other facility was quicker to call EMS and then we'd have to deal with ER visits, etc). I would definitely recommend this facility to other families.

My loved one is a current resident at Moorehead Place and everything in every category has been great. My loved one would rate the food at a 4, but that is because of her taste buds. I would recommend this facility to others.

I found it very impressive how many long term staff they have (many employees over 20 yr, most dining staff over 10yr). They are obviously a good place to work. Also, it is very well maintained. I thought the building was 5 years old, it's closer to 30

I love that there is a real sense of community at Canfield Place. The residents are treated like guests. The staff encourage group activities and dining together. And there is a lot more stimulation here.
