The description of Addison is not true They have a van, but do not take the residence out. They say they have a chef. He’s not a chef. He’s a cook. The food is terrible. Good occasionally. Many times, my mom went to bed hungry, or would eat pb & j in her room. They kept saying it would get better. After 8 months, it didn’t. The management got an attitude when we would mention the food. We went with the Addison, and paid the extra money because of the things they advertise. . You do not get what you pay for.

No I wouldn't recommend to anyone. My mom is unhappy there

Overall I didn't feel the care was very good...poor lack of activities and lack of creativity and innovation for dementia patients...did not interact with my dad very much...was getting ready to move him then he died...there are places around the country that are popping up now that are finding innovative ways to interact w patients that have memory issues...this place needs to step up

Unfortunately, this was not a good fit for my Mom. The director and head nurse are now gone and that was a debacle. They were insistent that they could accommodate my Mom. They were NOT capable of handling the skilled health care my Mom needed. I asked them many times if she was over their head and they said no. While the staff is friendly, the contractors that are there at nights and weekends, do not do their job, ignore residents call button alerts and I would find them sometimes just sitting in an empty area ignoring residents. I don't know how it is now, since the director and nurse abruptly exited. We left by [date removed]. So we were only there from [date removed] to [date removed]. I hope it is not still the same, because there are a lot of nice and needy residents there and if they are still being cared for this way, It is not right. As for "value" of cost, since it was not a good fit it is hard to say if the value is reasonable. I hope they have help there. Also, they just hire anyone to work there with no real credentials.

Overall Addington Place was not a good experience. My mom got sick and ended up in the hospital for 3 days.

I am not very happy with the Sheridan now! There have been way too many changes with personnel and rumors of why so many people have quit. My husband fell last Sunday, fractured his hip, had surgery and is now recovering in rehab. Have not really gotten a clear explanation of what really happened or any communication asking how he is doing. I guess I will need to go there to ask and find out some details. This is just kind of the icing on the cake with me! Not happy! I was spoiled with the people who were there when he first got there! So friendly, understanding and made everyone feel important. All of a sudden they were gone, no one was familiar. No good for people who have memory problems to begin with! Maybe these people will be fine but how much time will it take? The price has skyrocketed. Things that I was told when I met with [name removed] there did not turn out to be true. I was upset then but when the people that took care of Mike were so wonderful, I just kind of let things go!

My mom recently moved to assisted-living and it’s been over two weeks with no air conditioning. How in the world is that not a priority? Also, they advertise guest housing, which would be so helpful but at least in the past few years that my mom has been there they have always told me that it’s closed. Additionally, they advertise as having a lovely pool, but it has never been open and all the years I’ve been there. Finally, they assured us that my mom could receive transportation to appointments if given 24 hours notice. Even when we try to give a weeks notice, they have never once come through with that so many disappointments and not what was originally presented to us when we moved her in. As it becomes summer and she still doesn’t have air-conditioning, I am just so worried.

My loved one was previously a resident at Woodbourne Place. When he first moved in, the experience was very good. However, they were taken over by new owners and things declined. Our experience went from great to terrible after the new owners took over.

We liked the place a lot, but a while ago (after my visit) they promised to call me back (I left my question of whether they had a room available) but never did. Then I scheduled a visit from my Dad (with my brother) AND an evaluation by a nurse there. The nurse then wasn't there. Then my dad called and they said they'd get back to him, and they never did. It turned out that they were using his cell phone, which is a mystery since he never turns that on and I don't even know how they got the number. In general, lousy follow-up and we lost any chance of convincing my dad to move. We'd still like to have our dad there; it's a nice, social place

Very short staffed. This place is a nursing home, not a assisted living. Would not recommend The Addison of Lindsay place to others.

We had a wonderful experience there until after my father died. Our main caretaker was a nurse named [name removed]. After my dad died we tried to do something nice for [name removed]and her crew. The Executive Director [name removed] didn't like it and fired [name removed] after lying to me when she called asking questions. Without [name removed] and with [name removed]I would not recommend Lincolnwood Place.

Really liked this community 2 years ago but has really deteriorated. Cost increased about [amount removed]/month last year and this year! Quality of food is moderate to poor. Many things promised like-spring cleaning every year (curtains, windows, carpet) does not exist! Efforts to talk with management has produced no results. Apartments are a great size and decorations of areas very nice. Pleasant area but hard without a car.

My loved one was previously a resident at Logan Place. The staff was wonderful, but they were understaffed. The management was rude and didn't want to do anything. Very hard to deal with. The food wasn't very good, I have never seen such small portions. The housekeeping was basically non-existent. I would not recommend Logan Place to anyone.

The property is quite nice, the view from the top floor is amazing. However, the staff is disinterested in the quality of life for residents. They do the minimum and that's about it. My mother was there for about 6 months and we moved her out. The other residents are also not warm or welcoming, seemed like middle school for seniors.

Had high hopes for my mom when we put her into this lovely memory care facility. It’s really beautiful and homey. They made a great sales pitch that convinced us that this would be the right place and that her final days could be spent in house under hospice care. The positives were a good activity therapist, decent food, and some good CNA’s. The negatives were inexperienced management, not enough staff to handle the higher acuity of the residents (even though technically they met state requirements but practically they did not). Facility fails to report incidents to the state when they are mandated to. Facility does not do hospice recommended safety measures. Fall rate, when my mom was there, was horrible! Some night staff failed to do the rounds timely. I removed my mother after three months. She is now in a much better facility where she gets the care she needs. In my opinion, if this facility can’t do better they should close their doors.

I picked that community because of proximity to my house and costs.There is a change in personnel at the supervisory level and I'm looking forward to that. Communication with the previous managers/supervisors on was challenging for me.

Our family had an in person tour with Renaissance on Peachtree and they kept us there for like two hours - I appreciated in some ways because it was our first tour ever and the questions she asked about our needs helped frame my questions for the next facility. But it was just way too long. They did give us cookies though. Which is good bc I was starving after two hours. I'm not sure if you recommend locations to people, but it was not a place a middle income person would feel comfortable, in general. A bit cold in atmosphere and kind of... fancy? I'm solidly middle class my whole life and as soon as I was alone with my spouse I said, "even if we had the money, there's no way mom would feel comfortable there"

I was a resident of the Sheridan at Tyler Creek for 9 1/2 months. I noticed the many things wrong with it during my last two months there. My apartment was uncomfortable, furnished with cast off, battered furniture, including a very uncomfortable twin bed I asked be replaced and was informed that the residents brought their own beds. My shower was lukewarm and when I told a manager about it, she promised it would be addressed. A couple of months later, I mentioned it to another manager who told me the showers were purposely kept only warm to prevent the older residents from scalding themselves. Finally, two days before I left, the temperature of the water in the shower was adjusted. Housekeeping was sporadic at best. There was a high turnover among the housekeeping staff and there ended up being only one woman who cleaned the restrooms and the apartments of the residents. She did not dust and there was an accumulation of dust on my furniture, as well as rings on my coffee table

Compared to similar facilities, they are over priced.

Being an RN we are very familiar with this type of work and they could really just wok to improve on their personal nursing care. They do not engage or interact with the residents, they just come into the rooms drop of the medication and leave, or they drop of the food and leave. They don't wake up our loved one when things get dropped off. They ahve slow response times to when our loved needs assistance or when our family calls - they never return calls.
