Very nice, Becky gave us a tour and provided everything we asked for...very friendly place...this one will be one of our picks for mom to visit

Overall things have gone well at Woodbourne Place! It's a clean, well kept, nice looking facility, and the staff have all been very friendly. They do a great job looking after my loved one, and I really appreciate how good they are about staying on top of his blood sugar levels!

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This was a very nice looking community, and definitely somewhere we would have considered as an option. The staff were friendly, and the facility itself was well kept and clean. However, Mom wanted to be in an area she was slightly more familiar with.

Caring staff, flexibility with dining, clean environment. It appears that the entire staff tries to make the every day living experience the best for my mother.

My mother did very well at the JC Benton House, so much so she is moving to an Independent Care Facility after only one month in the step-down program. The care was very good and both the Head Nurse and Director were very available, responsive and kind. Mom was please with all areas of the care with the exception of the food. She did not feel the quality and consistency was of the level it should have been. Had the monthly rate been more affordable, she would have stayed there indefinitely. Overall, a very good place to go to from a rehab facility and especially the step-down program. This allowed us an opportunity to both evaluate Mom's needs and slowly acclimate her to leaving her home.

Dick liked and was impressed with Mary Ellen Dunham at Sentry Hill.On the other hand I felt that she was doing this tour because her colleague had to be away and was not too happy about it. The interview/ tour lasted 40 to 45 minutes. She avoided answering any questions I asked about the cost of day care in the memory unit or the price of the different apartments. Stated she would address that later. We were shown the memory unit and the garden as well as a generalized tour of the facility. We did not meet any other staff members or residents. M.E. was pleasant, but 'too professional' for me. Sentry Hill is an impressive facility. We were not invited to lunch. Our appointment was at 11:00am. We did not look at any cottages as I felt they were beyond our price range.

LakeSide Vista has been wonderful so far, I'm really enjoying it! It's a nice looking place, it is always very clean, and the staff are all very friendly! They're always there when I need them. I would definitely recommend them!

Overall, the place is beautiful, clean and smell free. Mom is enjoying the activities and having her own apartment for privacy. Mom fell last Friday (she thinks she fainted), and she called for assistance and was asked by the caregivers to get up on her own. I think that if a place has caregivers, they should automatically help an elderly person up unless refused. Mom states that they acted "disgusted" with her for falling. Fortunately, she was not harmed, and the incident was reported to the director. However, encounters with the nurse in question have been unpleasant since that time. Also, mom was told that she needs to bring sheets from home for her bed - but she is not a permanent resident there and shouldn't have been told this.

We toured this community when we were looking into senior living options for a loved one. This looked like a very nice community, it was clean, and the staff all seemed friendly. Our only concern was that they seemed a bit expensive for what they provided, compared to some other options we saw in the area.

Walden Place has been a wonderful experience for my mother so far. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. The residents appear to be very happy there. The food served as well as the service is very good. The activities are very person centered, and the staff running them are very engaging. My family and I are very pleased with the experience so far.

They did have activities. When we saw the place it stood out from a lot of the others ones. It’s very cheerful, clean, and bright. It wasn’t depressing like many of them are. The food was excellent. The security was excellent - meaning that they had someone at the front door and there was only one person at the front desk, either a guard or a receptionist.

Love the food and going on bus trips. Also I like the fact that coffee is on hand all the time.

My dad recently moved to The Breakers. I think he has had a good experience so far. The location and amenities are fantastic. Everything is close by - grocery store, other shops, public transportation, park. The deck and outside area are great. The building looks very well maintained.His apartment is not the most updated, but it is nice. Fantastic views of the lake to the north and south. I have always had positive interactions with all of the staff. I think he has a few minor complaints about them getting back to him with a few things, but I think overall he has been fine.

It’s well run, very modern, very clean facility with a lot of amenities for assisted or independent living. The activities could be a little better though. There is enough parking. We never had any problems with the laundry service.

It's been phenomenal! The only reason it's not a five is that the elevators are a long wait. The staff has been absolutely amazing. She feels at home, and they have been very attentive to all of her needs. The food has been really good. We really liked the location.

It seems like they are pricey for what you get. It seems like they haven't had too many activities lately, the staff has been good taking her for walks. I think the activities are starting to pick up a little more, now. There have been a few times other residents have walked into her room or made her uncomfortable, I know this happens from time to time, but that is something that maybe could be worked on. I liked that they had a furnished area for her, that was important for us when moving in. I also liked the overall friendliness as well, she really took to the person that came and spoke with us.

Care services and Activities ratings are really NA. Parents have not moved in yet but have signed and have the apartment. Joan Schumm has been extremely friendly and helpful through the decision process and relates well to the elders. She granted extra time to make a decision to let parents feel comfortable with the decision. The other place on the short list was Chestnut Square which is similarbut has buy-in and doesn't have level of care on-site. All our questions and concerns have been addressed promptly and to our satisfaction so far. Apartment was completely rehabbed as previous tenant was there a long time and ended up bedridden - new carpet/flooring, at least one new BR door and new stainless appliances. A few things still be resolved - no doorknob on new door (oversight I'm sure) and stove hood does not vent anywhere (this model is supposed to vent to duct but there is no duct - wrong model?). Food has been very good so far with nice selection. Will have to see if it gets boring after a while. No GF but there are sugar-free desserts. Parents concerned about dinner being crowded but we'll see how it works out once they are living there. Parents also miffed that meals can't be 'banked' as Mom plans (????) to cook frequently. We kids think this will be a good move for our parents.

They seem to be always cheerful and there to help you. They seem to be there when you need them. They come when you call. I have had a chance to try the food. My mother really enjoys the food. She looks forward to eating. There is an inside porch and a courtyard. The only concerns we they agreed to wash her clothes and clean her room and sometimes it can go two weeks or two and a half weeks.

During your initial contact ask lots questions, make sure that ever thing gets clarified. Overall we are pleased that my mom is there. We just had to tweek some things when she came back from the hospital. We ate in the big the big dining the night she moved in and it was fantastic.

It looks like a rich persons, hotel. It was huge, gigantic, and so much money. I felt like my loved one would have gotten so lost there.
