They are very friendly and they are open to help with anything you ask them to. I think they need to do a better job with the resident's personal items, as far as keeping up with them and not getting them confused with other resident's items.

It's clean, and the staff is friendly. They do some word games and things. But I don't think he gets to get out very much. I would like to see a few more crafts. I would like to see more encouragement to do the projects. They were a little less expensive than the other places.

I had a good tour with Governors Glen, but I did not feel that it was as good of quality as a couple of other facilities that I had visited.

Dad was in a rehab facility to begin with, and Liberty Ridge Senior Living Community went out and told us that he could not be accepted because if his condition. After a second rehab I asked them to evaluate him again. They did, and accepted him, but then a couple weeks in decided he required too much care for them. I get that, but it was not handled in a professional manner. They basically refused to even attempt to offer dad the sort of help he needed. They made the decision to take dad in the first place, but then would not help us at all to find a better place for him when it did not work out. The whole thing felt like they were just trying to make a sale, interested only in the money and not in helping my dad get the care he needs. I know that my dad is not in good shape and his situation can be a challenge, but overall I was just not impressed with how things were handled.

In my experience which doesn't count for much because my sister is still in charge of all that goes on with my mother. She's not happy there. She doesn't like the food. They don't have enough staff for the residents and they tend to be short tempered at times. If she does activities she doesn't remember them.

We chose Governors Glen because of the convenient location to our family. Her room here was on the smaller side compared to some others we looked into. The food here was not good quality and it was cold when it was delivered. I would recommend depending on your circumstances.

They could use people that are more experienced with handling those who have Alzheimers and Dementia. There has been a gap there that they would do well to fill. Other than that they have been ok. The facility itself is very nice and well kept.

I really don't think they have what we need. They have no rooms with walk in showers. I didn't get a good vib from them.

They have no security upon entry. Anyone can just walk in, and it is unsecure and safe. I am removing loved one, and highly not satisfied with services. The three biggest issues, inclues; cleanliness, security, and lack of showering. They only provide showers twice per week. The rooms were not clean enough, and the bathrooms/showers were unclean, and toliets were stopped up.

Good community. The staff was too loud. The community felt dark and this wouldn't have been a good fit for my loved one. Also, the person that was scheduled to give the tour passed the duties to another staff member with no communication to me about the change.

The office staff were very nice; however, the caregivers weren't nice. There was a verbal argument with a caregiver one time. The office staff were willing to try and fix issues when brought to their attention. There were difficulties with making sure my loved one received their medications. The staff didn't know how to handle ordering my loved one's medication as well. There were times the food was not suitable for my loved one. I ended up having to take food to my loved one because of this. I ended up taking my loved one out of the community because of the issues we had.

I had several issues with this community. They used Covid as an excuse and did not come up with safe ways to continue things that were necessary like physical therapy. we had several items come up missing and there was an issue with theft. I would not recommend this community. The director would communicate with me and would not return calls or texts.

This community was spacious, it was kind of a unique layout. The rooms are on the smaller side. If someone asked, we would recommend this community to a family or friend with reservations, it would depend on the health of their loved one and the dementia phase they are in

The person my sister and I were to tour with, [Removed], with was not there. We toured with a Team Lead. Andrew later called and stated he had us down for a different date. We disagree on the scheduled tour date. Even with this issue, the opportunity to for them to make a good impression was lost. Andrew never offered to schedule another date. Though the Lead we toured seemed great, the other employees seemed less than enthusiastic (understatement) during our greetings. There was only one employee that greeted us with an energetic smile. During the tour, the Lead asked an employee to assist a resident with getting ready for bed at the direction of the resident's daughter. The employee tasked with the responsibility never ONCE verbally acknowledged the lead. She eventually slowly (again, an understatement) strolled to the resident's room to assist with an expressionless look her face. In my opinion, she had absolutely no sense of urgency. Additionally, I asked the daughter of this same resident if she was pleased with the care being provided to her mother. Her answer was, after a pause, "We have had some issues. You have to REALLY stay on top of them." My sister and I concluded that this is NOT the place for my father. Andrew did contact me again a few days later to follow up. I did share all of my concerns with him.

Very small facility. It felt claustrophobic on the Altzheimers wing. No licensed staff. Will not be able to meet our needs.

I have been using Governors Glen for two years of respite care for my now 90 year old mother in law. Her most recent visit for two weeks was not up to our standards. Her clothes was lost plus other items and she was given a roommate that was not happy with the situation. After we got our Mother home we called and placed a complaint about the lost items, plus that fact she wasn't given breakfast that morning because she didn't want to get out of bed. There was no followup. So I decided to write a letter to the director. The apology came from the director.

This facility is dirty and the patient care is lacking. My mom lived here for several years and has deteriorated from it. They don’t do bathing on a regular schedule and don’t clean in her room at all. There are bugs everywhere. The place used to be nice but new management has destroyed it. I got her out and would never put a loved one here again.
