At Whitney Place, the Tapestry Program for seniors with memory loss has been a caring and helpful experience for my Mother. She shares a companion suite with her "new friend" after many years living alone. The well-trained staff and management team provide a variety of activities and outings that make everyone happy! The food is good; the facility and grounds are clean and beautiful. I would choose it for myself!

The admin staff are friendly. The communication and training of the direct help is evolving. They are open to holding meetings with residents to improve things just slow on the action of implementing. But overall I feel that my mom is safe and well taken care of.

I liked what I saw but wanted to see more but do to my knee I couldn't do anymore walking. Too bad they didn't have an electric wheel chair that I could have used. I wanted to see a two bedroom unit. I did have lunch there and it was home made mac n cheese with stewed tomatoes and it was very good. The place is very clean and nicly decorated. I like the fact they have a heated indoor pool and hot tub. I didn't buy in because this was my first tour and plan on going to see another facility next week which has a smaller buy in amount. I was not impressed with the kitchen and bathroom. I would want to remove that one piece shower unit and see about a walkin tub.

My mom is very happy. She likes the people there and is starting to join in on some of the activities and has enjoyed them so far. She said the food is good. The staff have been helpful and accommodating. Her 2 bedroom is perfect for her. She is able to have her craft space and a space for guests. She is glad she moved to the willows.

Whitney Place is a beautiful community. The dementia unit, called Tapestry, is quite large. There are uncluttered hallways for patients to walk, no areas where someone may get lost. Patients have two dining areas with assistance in both. Staffing, like aides, are limited and sometimes difficult to find. Staff has a tendency to group patients together in the dining areas so they can watch them. Nurses are located in their office except when passing medication. Dining seems limited, my mother doesn't really like the food but they do encourage fluids during the day. Activities are limited and the patients seem to watch. A lot of residents mill about looking for things to do. Nursing staff is friendly, facility is beautiful. They have raised bed gardens outside but residents aren't out in the area without family or guests. My mom is on hospice currently and they are wonderful keeping us involved. Rooms are large and well lit. They have a quiet room, but have never seen any patients using it with staff.

Talk through options with [name removed], he's the representative for that part of The Whitney, definitely ask questions, he's a wealth of knowledge and put the answers in writing. Dining options are good, lots of choices, put aside food if they see my father hasn't come to eat, they watch over to make sure everyone is eating. They created a space for my father to eat with other men, similar age and interests. So that was really good to get to meet some people. Activities are good, maybe differentiate the activities. Also, possibly have a priest come to the place for weekly mass or even monthly mass. Another idea, bring in Irish entertainment for St. Patrick's Day.

[name removed] in sales was great to work with and helped close out some issues in the room. She took the time to understand mom's "attitude" and relayed that to the team. She provided info on how to switch to the MD that comes on site, switch to a pharmacy that delivers to the site and laundry service. [name removed] and [name removed], nursing, were great as we transitioned medication over to them. Limited interactions with the aides but always pleasant as I am pleasant to them not knowing if mom is or not.

Every staff member I met was polite and helpful. My Dad (who passed away last month) was very happy that he made the move and never had any complaints about the facility or staff. They did have difficulty keeping their shuttle bus in operation because they couldn't find a long term driver so I ended up driving my Dad to his off site appointments. The feature that sold us (other than proximity) was the availability of both Rehab and Skilled Nursing in the same facility. Dad never used those capabilities but he found it very comforting that he had found a home for the rest of his life.

I would definitely recommend Whitney Place at Medway to others for Memory Care. The staff is very friendly. My mother in law always complained about food, but she loves the food there. Moving her in was a simple process and in due time they learned her needs and they take very good care of her.

I would say it was a very nice place. And I would recommend it.

Most of the nursing staff is very helpful. I think the front desk and bistro dining area need more experienced folks, but I understand that they are doing their best with labor shortages. The housekeeping in my mother's room is okay. I'm not sure they vacuum often, but her bedsheets are changed weekly which is nice. The nursing staff are good about calling one of our family when something concerns them. The meals are very good, they can sometimes take a long time to come out but we've never had a quality issue. I would recommend this facility to friends and family. It's expensive, but I think it would be difficult to find another place that offers the same level of comfort as this one does.

We really enjoy the Whitney Place community, they do just need to work out some quirks regarding our loved ones personal needs. However based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

I like how clean the facility is. They are prompt with medications. The food could be a little better as far as specific diets for patients. Also when I brought food in the other day to eat with my family member, I was instructed we had to eat outside, which I thought was strange. I think there could be a little more activities, maybe some walking instead of in-place aerobics. But other than that, we're happy with [name removed] and with the head nurse. Everyone has been very good and very prompt. When my family member had a fall, they took appropriate and timely action. And I've been very happy with their service overall.

We had a good tour experience with Whitney Place. The guy who was showing us around was more laid back and cool and just not as outgoing as the place we ended up choosing. The setting was also not as pretty here.

I'm very comfortable here. They're very professional. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's clean and safe. I like my apartment very much. It's modern and has been well taken care of. It almost feels like a new house.

My loved one is doing well and likes it there. Overall the staff are good and we're satisfied. They do a good job of trying to keep people engaged with good activities. Overall it's a friendly, good environment to live in. I never give 5s (I think there's always room for improvement). But they're doing a good job with everything.

We had a good tour experience with Whitney Place. It seemed like a great facility to have a loved one in. The room layout was strange which was why we decided to look further.

The community spaces at Whitney Place always looks well kept during my weekly visits. In terms of the staff, my mother mentioned some of the people were very nice and others she would say were not. My mother has always spoken very highly of the activities staff, they are very kind and inclusive and have always made her day. They have also tired very hard during the community lock down to FaceTime with families and have been working even harder than they were before. They could, however, do a little better with communicating with the families on a more regular basis.

The community did a good job of keeping my mom safe and there have been no cases of Covid-19. They don't communicate with the resident's families well enough. We receive almost no communication or information about my mother's care. We have to reach out ourselves and ask the direct in order for us to get anything from the staff.
