I give this place a 5. The tour was helpful and the person giving the tour took time to answer all of my questions. It was great to see all of the floor options available as many other places did not have all the options. The courtyard was beautiful and big enough to get exercise or just sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

My grandfather is currently living at this assisted living and he enjoys it. [Name removed] has been so kind to him. When he was sick in the hospital she went on her time off to visit him several times. We appreciate all that she does! Anytime I have questions I can ask her anytime of the day.

We toured 20+ senior facilities. We were dissapointed. We toured Heritage Oaks and found it friendly, caring and the residences were happy to be there. Mom and Dad approved and are excited to be there.

We are beginning our 3rd week at Heritage Oaks. The Assisted Living residents are actively engaged everywhere I see them. At times the hallways are so full of residents that one has to step aside! And that, in my opinion, is an extremely good thing! Food is good, and I love the turtle sanctuary. The staff has been welcoming and anxious to meet our very high standard of care, cleanliness and kindness that we had come to expect from our previous residency.

We moved into our two bedroom apartment in December 2017. We needed a place that would make life easier for us -- the 3-bedroom home we had was becoming more than we could handle alone. From the first the staff surprised us. We have a small dog who really thought we moved so she could be with more people, but the staff treats her like a resident too. This is because they care about how WE feel, what OUR needs are, and how can they best meet those needs. In our fifty years together, this is the best move we have ever made. The residents have become like family to us. Everyone gets along well together. Everyone respects the views of the other residents (at least all of the ones we have met and interacted with). AND there is lots of opportunity to meet and talk, in the Dining Room, in the Halls, at the Dog Park, along the sidewalks throughout the complex, and on the veranda or in the Courtyards of the Apartment Complex. Activities are planned often around the requests of the resident(s). It is our belief that we have made our last move and to a place that is most wonderful for and to us.

Big thank you to Rio Terra and their entire staff for such great service, cleanliness and honesty for my parents. We can’t be more happy with all they do for each of us in the family. So much care and sincerity!

Rio Terra has been and continues to be an amazing opportunity for my mom to live in an atmosphere of wonderful residents and staff. She is content, busy and quite happy. I am so thankful to have found Rio Terra for her. The staff truly care about every single resident every single day.

For whatever reason, our bus driver was not here today. That didn’t stop our busy bee staff, using either personal or rental cars, our staff took residents to doctor appointments or wherever. You can’t find better employees than that – reminded me of my days in the military.

Very amazing staff. Clean environment for my loved one to live in. I love how there is always an activity.

I love this place. It is a wonderful, wonderful place. Everyone is so kind, and thoughtful, and caring. Staff are always checking on me. The activities are fabulous and there is plenty to do. We have three meals a day. Fabulous food. If you don't like what they are having, you can ask for something different. Can you get any better than that? Not only is it clean, but it is the people that make it so wonderful, I feel like it is such a great life that I don't deserve it but my son says I do!

So nice!! People are wonderful. Clean place.

Lakeshore estates is a warm and welcoming community. The staff and residents treat each other like family. The dining services are excellent. The food is hot and exciting.

I love this community. We have lived here for nearly 5 years. All the staff is wonderful. This is our home, and would not want to ever leave, till called home to be with my Lord.

I like living here very much. It is a very nice and friendly place to be living in. All the employees are very very nice. It is just a very wonderful place to be living in.

I've lived here going on three years and loved every moment. I celebrate my 100th birthday on [date removed] and the whole community celebrated with me.

Those of us who live in the Prairie Rose retirement home spend a good part of everyday eating -- about six hours a day. Trip to the dining room, finding a table, getting something to drink, checking the menu, ordering, eating and then trip back to the apartment. It is apparent whoever designed the serving process knew a lot about food preparation and delivery. I am impressed with how the serving process works. Starting times are essential, everything else feeds from that. Meals are served in courses (like the French). First comes drinks, then appetizers, next is the main meal followed by dessert. They have two menus, one changes every day, the other is “always available.” I occasionally order from the changing menu but prefer the always menu for a couple of reasons. One, I have tried everything on the always menu and all are good. Second, after many years in the military, I understand that anything cooked specifically for me instead of for a group is going to be fresher, if not better. Regardless, whichever menu you choose from I think you will be satisfied. They also have a procedure where on even calendar days they start taking orders at one end of the room, odd days at the other end. Food is very good, if you leave hungry, it is your fault. My “Patience of Job” title is in reference to our management, kitchen and young wait staff. I am a people watcher and have yet to see the wait staff get frustrated or annoyed. Management constantly moving through the dining area keeping everything cool. Is everything perfect – no! Do meals get mixed up – yes! However, if something is wrong with your meal, they will quickly fix it or replace it. I am impressed!
