Runk and Pratt Senior Living Communities

This is a smaller community, and more of a family type community! From the beginning, our experience has been stellar- the admission staff member was amazing- she was patient and toured us 4 separate times (even on weekends!) so all of our family could get on board. The director is very hands on and checks on Mom herself daily! The activity director is not only friendly and engaging, she actually cares and spends a lot of extra time getting to know the residents so she can meet their needs. I toured multiple facilities, and I am so glad I went with my gut and chose this one. I could not have chosen a better place, and would rate this community higher if I could!!

Toured with the young man to view a private room for a friend of mine. He showed me a room on the renovated wing, that have a living space area in the room and a porch!! Such a great intimate building, every staff member spoke to us as we went through!

The building is much larger than it looks from the outside and is beautifully decorated. The marketing director was very friendly and she was able to answer all of our questions.

Toured with a gentleman for my mother, such an amazing community with a theatre, bowling and a beautiful salon that she can get all prettied up! Staff were great and kind walking through! Wow!

I moved here from another facility to this community to further my therapy and receive better care. They have exceeded my expectations and I love it here! Recommend Runk and Pratt to anyone!

Runk and Pratt is a 5 on all categories, except activities which I can't rate because unfortunately my family member is not able to participate. For value, I would say the cost is on the high side but typical for Smith Mountain Lake. It has been a comfortable place for her to live, and she is well taken care of at this time.

Everyone there is so helpful and friendly! The communication is good, I've had more conversations and emails with Liberty Ridge since March than I had the whole time my mother-in-law was in [community name removed]! There's a lot of activities too! Based on the experience we have had so far, we would definitely recommend this community to other families looking for a community for their loved one

The people are nice and the building is clean.

The activity crew down at POL is awesome!!!!! They are the life of the party! They keep the residents going and have so much fun , they consider each and every resident! They have cooking classes , outings, national days & so much more!!!

I always see so such amazing things going on at Pearls of Life in the Activity program on Facebook. I love all the outings they go on and the cooking classes they have making different things. The residents always look so happy and look like they really enjoy theirselves.

I absolutely love the activities program here at Pearls of Life , they work well with the dementia patients. They keep the activities fun and very enjoyable. I love that they take them on outings to get out and get fresh air!

Activity Director and Assistant work overtime to make sure the Residents are always busy and having fun! They go on outings every week, have wonderful entertainment groups coming in, mind stimulation games, pet therapy and even golf cart rides! I am so glad I did my research and chose this community for my loved one!
