I toured The Stratford for my mother, and I thought they had a really great program, but I thought that my mother would be unhappy with the rooms. They seemed a little small to me, and I knew she wanted a room on the first floor. They unfortunately did not have any opening s for rooms on the first floor, so we continued our search.

I toured this place and was disappointed. Didn't seem welcoming at all and the outdoor area was awful it wasn't covered and this is really important for mom. The rooms weren't the nicest at all. Overall just wasn't the right place.

I was almost set on using this facility for my dad but there were a few things that changed my mind. First, this place looks [Removed]. There's nothing fun set up for the residents and the staff always seems bored, and not at all lively. My dad wanted a private room but they said they weren't filling any private rooms because they were on the other side of the facility and that he would have to share. In passing, I had mentioned a favorite hobby of mine (canning) and they sent me a case of canning jars, but then inundated me with phone calls and emails asking if I had received the gift. It felt like they were saying I was obligated to choose them. Over all, they aren't a bad community, but with the actions it made it difficult to want to have my dad live there.

Dad has recently moved into this community and it seems to be a nice place. They seem to offer some nice activities and the staff seem to be well trained to offer the services dad needs. This community came recommended by the hospital. I hope things continue to go well.

My parents really liked this place during out tour, it was a beautiful community with great bedroom amenities that they had really liked. Unfortunately there business office needs some improvement. My parents had decided to send in there deposit in after making the choice that they wanted to live in this facility, however the administration did not get back to them for a few weeks after money was sent in and said they had no open space for them. I wish they would have communicated that they didn't have the availability during our tour.

There was a couple aids that were very caring but most were indifferent. Spent lots of time on there phones and not connecting with residents. The ladies that did the activities were amazing.

The Ridge Of New Bern memory . There were many inconsistencies in care in accordance to Staff. There was one particular staff member that provided excellent care and make sure that all the patients received the same care. If she was not on things did not get done. All patients were clean and will fed. Activities for patients were not mandatory. If a patient was pacing up and down or sitting in his room, sleeping in his room, they were not brought to the activity. Administratively there was a disconnect from what was said by the administration and what actually happened With the patient.

It's very expensive but still competitive for the area. The staff are very friendly but the turnover is extremely high and the facilities need upgrading. I would recommend to others depending on their budget.

The facility is beautiful and very well-maintained. The initial experience was excellent, but the company was sold shortly after our loved one moved into the space. The new company has been difficult to get a hold of decision makers and many of the people who were there when I originally signed, have quit. The new leadership is not as collaborative as the original leadership, which has created challenges for me. The cleanliness in general is good and the friendliness of the staff is great. I have not met anyone as of yet who is not friendly, but no one has been able to get answers to the questions I have from the senior management in real time.

This place was so pleasing to the eye and ear when searching for a home for my loved one. I however am disappointed with the decline I see in the building appearance, the activities not offered anymore, the open conflict that exists between the staff and the aids, and I am very disgusted with the therapy dog that is allowed to run thru the facility and ignore the residents but poop and pee all over the facility. I believe these are problems that can easily be fixed if only management would step up and handle the complaints presented by family members. Putting a loved one in a facility is hard enough even when you are pleased with the presentation but when you see everything taking a turn for the worse you have to ask yourself is this where I really want to keep my loved one.

My family and loved one had a good experience with Croatan Village. The community is clean. The staff and residents and friendly and caring. They have activities available to engage the residents. Overall, we would recommend you check the community out, to see if this would be a good fit for your loved one.

We were really happy with them at first. But they have had some staffing changes and the new people are not very good. When our loved one arrived the meals were good, but now our loved one won't eat them. With the care services our loved one has had a toe injury for a while now and has yet to see a Podiatrist.

The apartment facilities are very nice and a good value for the money. The staff are pretty communicative when there are any challenges around medication but also very understaffed which causes inconsistency with the level of services they can offer. Also since our loved one has moved in the executive director has turned over 3 times so there are some management issues

If you ask my loved one, he wasn't happy there. But that could have been just situational, due to his own personal circumstances. I felt that the staff listened to us. Everybody was really nice and easy to work with. We were not happy with how they cleaned his room - we're not sure that they ever vacuumed. And the bathroom was in big need of repairs. One of the reasons why we moved him there was because they said they had a monitoring system in the rooms that could detect if he was up in the night or if he fell. And that was never working, which was disappointing.

This seemed impersonal due to size and was not impressed with the room available during the tour.

The cost has already gone up and I do not see her getting any extra care. Compared to other memory care facilities it is a good place, but as a whole there are big issues with many facility. Sometimes things that are promised are not always followed through with. You just need to advocate for your loved one.

The people who led the tour were friendly, but this just wasn't the community for us. They have a care menu of every little thing that just added up to more and more money, to the point that it was ridiculous. And the facility didn't seem nearly as nice as the other places we looked at. There was just nobody around, and the building was a little bit older. It had kind of a haunted house feel.

My husband is in Pheasant Run and there are many good things and many things that need improvement. IT is 9 pm and I just got home from a drop in visit and once again they were extremely understaffed on the night shift, They have a high turnover rate and the patient to care giver ratio on night and weekends is wrong. They always have the excuse they are hiring more people. But go with out staff when someone calls in sick. I have complained over and over with the same old answer. They collect the monthly fee which is not cheap but fail to provide adequate care at all times. I am not sure who from the home office is checking but improvements need to happen NOW! The state also needs to see what is happening on nights and weekend. Everything is fine up until night shift and they never have a plan B when staff doesn't show up. The management just goes home. Oblivious

Fair. Older building. within our means but the food was disappointing

This community seemed dark as there was not a lot of sunlight coming into the community. The community seemed clean. I did not see a lot of activities when I visited. You could hear the sound of the traffic outside of one of the rooms we saw. I did not think this would work for us.
