Honestly I am still impressed with the community. Our loved one chose it he seemed to click with The Towers better then other communities he looked at. The community is a smaller community so it provides a more personal feel to it.

very nice facility. mom might like it here becuase it is smaller only 75 residents and family oriented.

This was Mom's second favorite location. The director who took us on the tour, was very friendly and open to discuss all options available and answer our questions. She even treated us to lunch which was ok. Mom liked the different rooms we visited and liked the layout of the facility. It seemed newer than iit probably is. She liked that all the members of the staff we met gave her their card so she could remember their names. Since this facility offers options to pick and choose from to build your care package, Mom liked that concept.

This is a great place, but there is no skilled nursing care.

Beautiful location/facility. Generous room. very clean, neat. well maintained. But no sidealks on Ft Hunt Rd. Although they do have a walking trail.

Just like everywhere, they are having a lot of turnover of personnel, there is a major lack of communication, and they have not been responsive to phone calls and text messages. We have been very frustrated with the experience so far. The facility is very nice and beautiful but there are just a lot of things that they need improvement on.

They just got new head person and nurses so hopefully it will be better but for what you pay it's crazy. They have gone up on rent twice and again at the beginning of the year and she has not even been there a year.

We, his siblings removed him from Woodland as soon as he was physically able to return home. We were not at all satisfied with the medical support at Woodland and the staff changes were almost daily making organization most difficult. We did much better having in-home nursing. Not likely to repeat a placement at Woodland or other similar places as we assume the same issues of staffing and competence. Nice place if you're just old, wealthy, relatively healthy, and your family doesn't want to deal with you anymore.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Barrington at Hioaks and the overall experience at this facility was okay. Their activities were presented in a much more positive way than they actually were once my loved one moved in. There were very few participants and many times no one showed up to lead the events that were scheduled.

I have been trying to get a refund from Bay Lake since mid 2023. My neighbor passed in 12/22. No one seems to want to return calls or emails about the situation. Sent his estate one refund with no invoice stating what was included in the refund, and it was not enough. Seems odd they won't return my calls.

I picked the Hidenwood because I thought it would be a great fit for my mom. But we have been having several issues with them about overcharging on bills, falls, she was supposed to have impact care nurse, but when I visit she usually doesn't have anyone. My moms condition has deteriorated

If your loved one needs anything (medications etc) be prepared to show up daily to ensure it happens. You can never get anyone in the phone, they mess up prescriptions frequently, and management is MIA. My loved one was given too much medication at times; not given medication other times; and you can’t get a response on the phone about these issues and writing emails doesn’t work either so you need to show up and hope someone is there to answer your questions or give you information. . Good points are nice facility, on the ground staff is caring and friendly and there is decent food and activities and I think it’s fine for independent seniors. but be prepared if your lived one needs medical oversight.

We've had some communication to work through. Staff is super willing and open. We had a few pretty big concerns at the beginning that we worked hard to work through regarding care plan and medication accuracy. I'd love more communication from the director regarding overall programming. Care coordinator in memory care is present and positive. Facility is beautiful and has many different locations for residents and families to gather. Staff is very friendly and consistent. That means so much to me. They seem to care about residents and families. Staffing for active activities throughout the day in memory care is one they are working on.

We picked this community, because of the level of activites offered, which has not happened, so it's a dissapoint right now. They have been short staffed in the dining area, and they can improve on the activities. Overall, we are pretty pleased. I would recommend to other families.

I toured this facility and was not impressed. It seemed more like an institution/hospital setting than it did a community. Was not the place for our loved one.
