The place was wonderful and the staff was great as well. The facility was very clean and looked very nice and not outdated or ran down. The people were helpful and nice to us. I like that they offered a lot of activities for the residents to stay busy.

My mother is doing great here at this community. She loves it. The only thing that she doesn't like, is that there are residents older than her. Other than that issue she is having a good time since her move here. The staff is great. She likes the area where the community is located, and everything is working out very well. I'am very pleased with her move to this community, and I would highly recommend it.

Dad is doing well and comfortable in the new atmosphere. He has been getting really good care in the Assisted Living. I have not heard one complaint about housekeeping and the meals. They have plenty of activities to choose from when he is ready to explore.

I had a good tour of this community. Everyone was very nice to my family and I. From what I saw everything looked well-kept. The staff I met was friendly. It was a nice experience, but not the community for my mother and her needs.

The only concern I had about this community is I do not think it is in a real good area. The community is clean and well taken care of. We like the staff and they are kind to my loved one. The size of the apartments was a deciding factor when looking at communities and the ones here were just what we were looking for. The food is ok and they do offer daily activities.

Very reasonable prices and the meals are good. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful.

The staff has been great to work with on all things related to securing the apartment and moving my dad in. Everyone has made him feel very welcome so far. I particularly like the aging-in-place value proposition that doesn't require one to pay for additional assistance services before they are required. The 1BR apartment is spacious and comfortable and staff have been highly responsive to fix the few things that needed fixing. So far, Dad says the food is pretty good and activities are pretty standard for places like this. We're off to a good start and looking forward to an overall positive experience.

I am very pleased with this place. It is very clean. The people are professional and caring. This is a place that I would want to go if i had to lived in an assisted living facility. I would recommend this community. My overall rating of this property is 4 stars. I can't rate the activities because my loved one did not participate in them. I would highly recommend the Bay Lake Retirement Community.

My Mom is a resident at The Hidenwood Retirement Community and is making the adjustment to the lifestyle there. Mom states that the staff is very friendly and the food is great. The dining experience is well organized and their staff is also very friendly. The staff to resident ratio is acceptable.

Very friendly, home like atmosphere with respect to staff; however, some residents are cliquish. Food is quite palatable and the grounds are bucolic.

I liked this facility in size and options. It was a little higher in price but you get what you pay for.

Ratings are determined by comparison. This is the only experience I have had living in a senior community. I would like more space. Also I would prefer a quieter environment at meal time. However, I made the right decision in coming here. The is a nurse on duty on every floor 24/7. Also there is a memory care unit when my wife's condition will dictate her need for that. The staff is very attentive. After only 2 weeks we feel like we belong.

Clean and well maintained common areas.

Liked the location and parking. Residents seem happy and friendly. Saw the van to go shopping and doctors outside. Doesn't have a full doctor that visits like Emeritus, but a LPN that does wellness appts. But, many medical offices in area and could take van vs. taxi (which I don't like at Emeritus). They had two van trips to see Cherry Blossoms that morning. Menu & activities seem very good. Walking thru bldg. could be a problems as her leg gets worse, but immediate future would be good exercise. Rooms were fine, nothing special.

The Towers is #2 favorite. Really liked the location however I'm trying to work it into the budget.

This was a lovely place, we were here for 2 weeks but it didn't work out well for us. Of all of my looking, this was my second choice. My father was difficult and he didn't want to be in a palce that was lock down and my mother had advanced Alzheimer's so every night my mother would try to get out, my father was in a wheelchair and he wasn't strong enough to stop her. It was not a wise decision for Aarondale to say they would give it a try because I knew it wasn't going to work, so after 2 weeks they said they didn't have a slot for a husband and wife together for what they need. That being said, I think they were trying to the right thing and they were trying to bend over backwards and at that point I was desperate. My dad died a month later and that just shows how desperate we were to get them out of the house so even though I knew it wasn't going to work, at least I was getting them out of the house.

Everything hasn't been perfect but they're very good, the cleanliness is very good from what I can see and the staff is very friendly. They're slow a little bit in serving dinner, at least they were at first, they were a little short staffed. She hasn't really particiapted in any activites yet but they are encouraging her to get out more. Any issues we've had have been minor communication ones, we have gotten a hold of the right people, we probably weren't talking to the right ones before, so it's a learning process figuring out who does what. One really good plus is they have a docotr who has space there and actually practices out of the Heatherwood building and he's been very good. We were concerned that she wouldn't like it and would fight it all the way but she actually likes it there, she's made a lot of friends, she has a walker and has improved to where she can get around.

The staff would smile when you walked in and they would try hard. They cared for my mom and my dad was very pleased, he was the one who would stay there with her all the time. The food was okay, not great, but it was edible. I remember on Sundays she would get really country food, like chicken fried steak and things she couldn't eat, it was kind of like slop sometimes.

We chose Heatherwood mostly because it was very close to my aunts friend who comes to visit her all the time and I had not heard anything engative about them. Her friend toured it and said that she liked it, it was just an adjustment for my aunt to change palces. She seems to do better and better everytime I see her, they're very friendly and very helpful. I don't really know whats going on there, I dont get a newsletter or anything, but I know whats going on with what I need to know and they call me when anything comes up. It is more out in the country and everybody goes to the main dining room which is more of a cafeteria palce, its always busy so it's better for people who like to socialize but it was too overwhelming for my aunt.

Liked the community, seemed to have many activities for residents and a large number of staff. Very clean and organized. Convenient location.
