After visiting a few other independent living communities, I walked into Stone Oak with my parents and it was like no other place we had been. The physical environment is beautifully designed very much like a nice hotel. It is light, fresh and more modern than others. The Main Street concept with fitness center, bank, arcade, store, hair salon, restaurant, theater, makes it feel like a village that you can enjoy without going outdoors. The residents and staff are genuinely friendly and caring. A great variety of activities are available every day. All are welcome but not pressured to get involved. The restaurant is fantastic and offers grab and go, cafeteria style, formal service and room service. The kitchens in the apartments are great too. The theater is amazing and offers movie series, new films and live presentations. I love that the price is all inclusive. The price is competitive with others in town but seems like a much better value for all that you get. The concierge service, valet parking, cleaning service, maintenance service is very personalized, convenient and included. When we left the day of our tour, my dad who did not want to visit, said "I think I could get used to this!". The next day he asked "can we move today?". They are very happy at Stone Oak and I thoroughly enjoy visiting and joining them for meals.

I am doing fine here at Savannah Pines. This is a good community. The community is very well kept and has housekeeping that comes and cleans for me. The staff has been great and helpful to me they are really nice. I feel they are very accommodating and always willing to help to me. The food is good and there is good activities for us here as well. Overall I am happy with everything this community has to offer.

Thank you for helping my husband and I find a senior home. We moved in on 2/26/16. We have found Capital Oaks to be a wonderful decision. The facilities, staff, food and all other services are wonderful. The help that we received from A Place For Mom was invaluable. We viewed and visited 5 facilities (All 5 were listed on the list provided by A Place For Mom). We chose Capital Oaks because it provided everthing we were looking for. I will gladly recommend Capital Oaks. Thank you.

I am very pleased with Emerald Oaks Retirement Resort since moving here. Things are going well.

We just moved our loved one to Emerald Oaks and it couldn't have been easier. We used AB movers who were fast, efficient and so helpful. The staff at Emerald has bent over backwards to help with this move from the moment I first toured there, then took our loved one there, to the move in. The residents are very friendly, walk right up to introduce themselves and will sit with new people at the meals so no one is alone. Other places we visited that were older, the residents already had their friends established which made it feel less friendly as we toured and when we ate a meal there. There is a larger % of men and couples here which made our bachelor loved one feel more comfortable.. His brand new apartment is large, bright and cheery. The building is done atrium style with soaring open ceilings so it feels airy and wide open. Meals are both buffet or order from your seat which he really likes. Food is available all day long on request. Meals can be delivered to your apartment for no charge and no tipping is allowed. Coffee, juice, tea, pre made sandwiches, fruit and soft serve ice cream is available 24/7 Movies in a beautiful huge theater are nightly, So many things to do...billiards, a library, cards, games, live entertainment weekly, large workout room with daily exercise program just to mention a few. Most of all are the friendly, caring staff and residents. I was told by a counselor for elderly that in an established facility the residents might already have the friendship groups formed, esp. at meals but in a new one, residents are looking to meet each other and form friendships. The group here certainly has proven it to be true. Also they seemed either younger in age....or at least in spirit. As for the price, they are all in the same $2500-3300 price range for 1 bedroom, but we felt Emerald offered more for the same amenities, and in the end they were less expensive for the same size 1 bedroom with complete kitchen, large rooms, upgraded appliances, granite counter tops, wall safe in room,and washer/dryer hook ups, There is a large laundry room on each floor, the machines are free to use so no need for all those quarters. Weekly housekeeping is done for the residents. And John the maintenance man, has already talked to us about installing the curtain rods for us....yes free of charge, it's part of their service.

My mother isn't the most outgoing person, yet she's made friends here quickly because the residents are so kind. She's also joining in with the games, puzzles, morning exercise class, worship service, and movies, all in the building. She likes how well-insulated the apartments are, so she's not hearing the neighbors. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is reasonable at times and great at other times, but always healthy, fresh, and varied. Certainly there are always other choices available in the dining room if she doesn't like the featured entree. This place has exceeded our expectations, and it's good to know my mother is happy.

My mom has not moved in yet from her assisting living. We have been very unhappy with the facility. When I talked to Stone Oak just got a good feeling. Prompt customer service. The facility is drop dead gorgeous. They are making the move for my mother stress free, which helps us out as daughters. My mom is 93 and has been at an assisted living for the last 4 years at a level zero care. We really think Stone Oak care and will work with our family. This place seems to be the new care for the elderly! Yippee!

Things are going great at Capital Oaks so far. I do not have any complaints about the facility or the staff and things are going well.

Beautiful, clean, wonderful staff, great food, ice cream 24/7, and so much more. A perfect place to grow older and enjoy life at its finest. Been here 4 months and nothing but great. Shopped around and for the price was affordable and the best of the best. Children want me to enjoy my senior years and spend their inheritance...why not?

We were going to put my mom here but decided not to place her in a facility. They offer fitness classes there, they had different activities there that they offered. We liked how the facility plan was laid out. All the amenities they offered were on the 1st floor such as the beauty shop, dining hall and the bank. They had all the amenities on the 1st floor so that no one had to remember what floor they offered them on. The other 2 floors were the residents floors, they also had some rooms on the 1st floor as well.

My parents moved in 10 days ago. Yes, there is a learning curve but because this is such a beautiful resort, with great food (available 24 hours per day) and an awesome staff, I really don't think it will take them long to adjust. At least we're hoping not, because they are in the perfect location within the resort in a handicapped apt. I just hope my mom realizes how lucky they are!

We LOVE Capital Oaks! It's marketed as a resort lifestyle and it truly is like living in a Hilton resort. The common areas are large, beautiful and functional. The staff is amazing and well trained. The Freedom Dining program is offers the best food and beverage in the a triangle with 24/7/365 access. (Their prime rib buffet on Sunday's is outstanding) If you're sick or just don't feel like going downstairs, room service will deliver meals to your apartment. Dad's apartment is VERY nice and spacious compared with the other 7 properties I saw in the triangle. It has stainless steel full sized appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen and bath areas as well as a washer and dryer in the unit. Housekeeping changes the bedding, vacuums, dusts and cleans the bath weekly - it's include in the price as is cable and VOIP phone. Hayes Barton Pharmacy is onsite and they offer medication adherence packaging for about $20 monthly. Dad just pushes the pills out of the blister packs with his thumb for breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtimes and we never worry that he is messing up his fairly complex medication regimen. The only negative I have found is that Capital Oaks doesn't meet the criteria for long term care insurance. Since that isn't their charter, you just need to be aware of this fact.

I moved here from another Round Rock "gracious retirement community" and Provident Crossings is outstanding in all respects. I needed to move since I have respiratory problems and my previous community started moving in smokers who were allowed to smoke in their room and stink up the place with smoke fumes. That turned out to be a blessing for me since I moved to Provident, a Designated Smoke Free Facility.

Capital Oaks is going really well. She really likes the apartment. Her reason for choosing this facility is she felt going in on the ground level of a new place would help her establish new friends better. That has been absolutely the case. She is in the single ladies group. She was one of the first residents moving in. Right now they cant get enough people interested in activities. There are new people moving in every week. Right now they are not doing the job that they did the sales job on. I think things will improve as more people move in. I've eaten some meals with her and she doesn't fault any of the dining staff and doesn't fault any of the other staff. She is happy and content there. It is a little pricier than some of the facilities we looked at. This one is more inclusive though so I think as you add those things up it's probably more comparable. The facility is beautiful. They have an awesome theater and a nice lounge area, and a room for activities.

My parents and I thought Robinwood Resort was very attractive. Didn't get to meet anyone to gauge the friendliness of residents or staff but the apartments are clean and fancy, including granite countertops and new appliances, new everything. Lisa was very nice but the main area was not very active. The store, etc. were closed at 4:30pm. The prices are very reasonable, considering the area. My parents are not able to consider this at present, but if they were, I think they would choose Robinwood.

They have been awesome and they are just very personable and approachable and helpful. Even the people in the kitchen say hello to my dad. I am just very pleased with the Emerald Oaks Retirement Resort.

Sherrill Hills has everything I wanted and needed. I enjoy the full kitchen, the washer and dryer in the apartment, the flexible meal times, the range of activities, the friendliness of staff and residents and the all inclusive price. I sold my car and enjoy being transported to scheduled doctor visits, grocery store, day trips and local events. I like having others to play cards, dominoes and other games with. I belong to the book club, the hiking club and use the exercise equipment. I get my hair done at the beauty salon. There is a wide range of food available at each meal and I enjoy meeting new people each day at meal times. I like the weekly cleaning service. When I go on trips I close my door and leave with no worries.

This was the first of 6 tours of several places to consider for my Mom. Beautiful living spaces, elegant dining area, friendly and attentive staff, lots of activity options presented and a can-do attitude in finding the right options for my Mother. I'm not old enough to move in but I sure want to!

All I can really say about Lakeline Oaks Retirement Resort is that the place is alive. And they are all hoping and it is not depressing in any way at all. My overall rating for the facility is five-stars
