The most rewarding part of my job is that it allows me to directly impact the lives of our residents, families and staff. Whether it’s ensuring the cleanliness of the building, meeting families or just saying ‘hi’ to residents in the morning, I know I am actively contributing to their quality of life. And I treasure the interactions. Some days, I think they make more of a difference in my life than I do in theirs!

The food is very good. Drivers accommodate request for driving, even when they're not scheduled. I just wish that there were more activities that my father-in-law would like as he doesn't play cards doesn't like to work out. That is on him and he's having a rough time completely integrating. It'll take time.

We have found a little pot of gold for our mom. A little bit of Paradise. She is so happy and so are we. We know she is safe and is eating better because there is food available 24/7. The building of people make mom feels like she belongs to a big family

I am very happy at Stone River. Clean building, Nice staff, very caring. The new managers are GREAT. The food is for the most part good. Occasionally there are things I don't like but that OK because I can cook in my apartment. We have full kitchens.

Overall one of the best 55 communities in the Roswell / Alpharetta area at about the $[removed]/month price point. The location is both easily accessible, yet secluded. It is off highway 92, with its own property with no nearby commercial neighbors. There is a nice pathway in the front around a small lake. The inside has a nice size open air atrium, with a huge dinning area, card/activity area, salon, gym, general store, and huge theatre. The rooms are nice size. The food is good, with a 24 hour snack station, and don't miss prime rib Sundays! They have a bus that can take you shopping. The staff is friendly and attentive.

The rooms are very well designed with great use of space. Well equipped with functional kitchen and bathroom needs. The staff knows every ones name and communicates well with all residents. Help is always available for all needs. Location is excellent near shopping of al kinds and restaurants ........The grounds are very peaceful and well kept. There are plenty of activities to join in on and movies to watch regularly. There is a gym facility as well as a library and game room. The dining area is spacious and inviting to stay and visit with friends.

Staff is attentive and stays in touch. I would recommend this independent living facility without any reservations.

I had seen the commercials for A Place for Mom on television, but never thought I would ever use them. My mom had been living independently, but after a hospital stay, our family decided to begin looking for alternatives for her once she was discharged. We contacted A Place for Mom and quickly set up tours. The last tour of the day was at Brier Pointe and when my brother and I walked in, we both knew immediately this would probably be "the one" - and it was. Everyone we encountered was smiling, friendly and very helpful - from the residents to the employees. After talking with Mom, sharing pictures and thoughts, she agreed with us. When she was discharged from the hospital, we took her to see Brier Pointe. My brother and I gathered her belongings from the car, turned to find her and she was already at the front door - she was that excited. Her reaction did not disappoint - we had made the right decision! She had been there a little over a month now and loves it!

Great job and great place for my mom. Should be 10 stars. [name removed] the chef made a special meal for me being glutton free and dairy free. [name removed] the sales manager is wonderful! We will be joining mom on many occasions and activities her at Vista Park.

We walked in looking for a place for mom. [name removed] greeted us with a smile and a great sense of humor. I can tell everyone was happy to be here. Not only living here but also working here. There is a lot to say about a place when people love their job!!! This is an excellent and perfect friendly community. I can’t wait to see my mom happy and enjoying life again!

My mom and I visited three retirement communities and after a fun hour with [name removed], Mom decided this was the place for her. Her kids love it, too. She is thriving and living her best life. Thank you Stone Oak!

We moved in Shell Harbor when it first opened in 2021 and we have never regretted doing so. The facility is beautiful. We have a nice apartment. We feel very safe here. We love the people. Everyone is so friendly; we have met many new friends. The food is good. There are lots of activities, a movie theatre, a pharmacy, fitness center, beauty parlor. We recommend this facility highly.

Overall experience - my mom has been there one month so speaking for her Cleanliness of the facility - extremely clean and they clean rooms once/week - the place looks very clean and smells clean, never a mess Friendliness - everyone makes sure to introduce themselves and talk to you when you are there Quality of care - they make a point to watch out for everyone, very responsive to needs if you call down to fix something, and always checking to make sure OK Food - could be better but they are always trying to improve, have a lot of options for the people there, salad bar, food available outside normal dining hours Activities - activities every day plus they have a full cinema and show movies every night and sometimes matinees, they had new years party with dancing, just had casino night - plenty to keep mom occupied Value for the money - all expenses including cable/phone/internet - no nickel and dime expenses, actually monthly rate is competitive if not cheaper than other facilities and the building is brand new My experience when researching places for mom started with [name removed] and [name removed] who were very approachable, extremely nice, accommodating, friendly, caring, gracious and attentive - all the things I needed to get me comfortable that I was making the right decision for mom (who is 92 and had to move from FL).

My parents moved in here a year and a half ago. They were immediately welcomed in. Everyone is so warm and friendly. The staff are kind and attentive. There are a lot of great activities here. I would highly recommend it!

I would tell others looking to ask a lot of questions about the place when you come visit, the managers are great! The apartments are smaller which I am not use to, but they are very nice.

I am so lucky to live at Shell Harbor as I watched it being built. I have lived in two other facilities so I was able to compare it well. Of course I did not hesitate to move in once it was built. I got a one bedroom apartment and put in hardwood floors as I am in a wheelchair. I also took off the closet door so I could get in it with my wheelchair. They will do everything they can to make life easier for you. We have a wonderful maintenance worker that is capable and able to help with anything and everything. We have a beautiful dining room that has a great chef with delicious food. You will always have a choice of sandwiches, snacks, a fresh salad bar plus two kinds of soups and an ice cream machine with chocolate and caramel sauces available all day. We all enjoy our 150-seat theater to see entertainment and good movies. Once a month we have special dinners for birthdays and anniversaries. My father-in-law is so very happy there. I can't say enough wonderful things about Stone Oak. The staff was incredible during the process of moving him from Indy to Ohio - [name removed] is exceptional at what she does - and this has carried over to his day to day living.

This amazing senior residence was an awesome find for my dad and his companion. The complex itself is beautifully designed and built to be attractive, warm, welcoming, and ever so pleasing for residents and visitors alike. But once you are within and soaking up the beauty around you, or enjoying the fine dining (TRULY fine!), it becomes impressively apparent that it is the PEOPLE who take Glen Meadows over the top! I have often quipped, more than half seriously, that I am sure people seeking employment at Glen Meadows have to pass a superlative personality test. And IF they can prove they have amazing personalities, they are then allowed to fill out a job application. From the managers to the maintenance people, there is not one who is not smiling, accommodating, welcoming, supportive, caring, and concerned for each and every resident, regardless of age, abilities, or mindset. It is indeed a close knit community and EVERYBODY is fully integrated—including family and visitors!!!

Shell Harbor is beautiful community with a lovely and caring staff. I visit every month as an entertainer and have found the atmosphere to be extremely welcoming. I also have random opportunity to visit with individual residents and I always come away with a happy feeling for everyone living here. I believe it is important to also note that the activities are fantastic and well planned. The calendar is full and resident attendance is very high! This is a premium community and I am thrilled to be part of the community every month. It is very uplifting.
