I came to the community in January as a charter member and it was the best decision I could've made. I was very lonely at home and now I'm surrounded by caring and compassionate fellow residents and staff. I enjoy the activities and especially the ones centered around exercises. My favorite class is the dance fitness. I also take advantage of the community bus for travel to outings and shopping.

[name removed] was the BEST! I believe she was a big reason our nephew chose Stone River. She was and still is so helpful to us. Room size is ok since meals are prepared downstairs. Amenities like the movie theater, store, salon, make it nice. My nephew doesn't use a lot of those- kind of keeps to himself.

My husband and I are charter members at Parkers & we are truly loving our experience! We love the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help us with housekeeping, fun activities, excellent meals and more. Our favorite thing is the dining experience because of the variety of items available for each service. The best thing is that the chef features my favorite salad--Kale with all the trimmings.

1. Wonderful 2.very clean.3.extremely friendly residents & staff. 4.SR is independent, not assisted. But we have legacy PT & Visiting Angels on site. 5.Food is usually very good. Always a meat & fish or pasta, plus 2 or 3 hot veggies & a homemade soup & salad bar at lunch & dinner. Except Sunday supper. 6. Lots & lots of activities. Sometimes 2 or 3 different choices at the same time. Exercise classes every weekday, bridge 4 times a week, bingo 2 or 3 times a week, painting, coloring, puzzles, card games, scrabble, dominoes, poker, church for Catholics and Protestants, movies every evening, & much more.7. The price seemed high until I realized the inflation going on on the "outside world". It's month to month. But your rate is locked in for one year, no matter how much inflation goes up.

Great place thank you for the recommendation. Yes, if you like being involved this is the place. Some people hibernate but that is their chose.

Great accommodations, clean and pleasant environment. Good fitness activities as well as equipment. The dinning experiences are healthy and delicious! Great portions and well stocked snacks for 24/7! Maid service is outstanding and realiable!

5 for all at Sherrill Hills Retirement Resort. What has made it such a great experience so far is definitely the meals and dining. We have brunch Sunday with my mom often . Staff has been excellent and overall ambiance at the facility is excellent. We have already recommended this community to others and we definitely will continue.

This is an amazing place and [name removed] loves it there. All of the staff from management to food service and cleaning people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. the residents are all very nice and friendly and help each other when they can. there is so many activities going on and they seem to cater to the veterans which is so nice for [name removed]. Another asset for this place is that the apartments are full size which other facilities didn't have. I would very much refer this place to anyone looking for a independent care facility

Staff are all friendly, inviting and helpful during this transition. Wonderful facility, many activities to enjoy! Love how the entry is decorated for all of the holidays. Rooms are very updated and functional. Truly a home.

My grandparents have been residents at Stone Oak for about 4 months and my children and I visit for lunch often. The food is excellent and great variety! The staff is so welcoming and always offering a smile! I am thankful my grandparents are a part of the community.

From the onset of our family's search for a retirement home for our love one, we sought out a place where he could regain his freedom and dignity as an aging adult with failing health. Upon coming to Stone River Retirement Community, there was something very different about the overall atmosphere. The staff was extremely authentic and very accommodating. Unlike other establishments, there was a genuine concern and interest in our delima, which was exemplified by our first point of contact [name removed], on to the upper management personnel. Up until our visit with Stone River, my brother, had not exhibited any reaction to any other place we had gone, yet he appeared to come alive subsequent to the visit here at Stone River. He became overly expressive of his delight in the facility's cleanliness, the exceptional dining experience, the kind and compassionate employees and staff. Etc... It appeared as though we had found John's new home, a place he could find peace!

From start to finish the experience was very rewarding. They were very helpful and I was very impressed by how well they handled each aspect of the process. The way they handled the process was very simple and very straightforward.

I would definitely recommend Okatie Pines Retirement Community! The staff go out of their way to be helpful. There has not been a need for the staff to communicate with us yet, so I'm not sure about communication with the family. The meals, I would give a 4 out of 5, they could be improved.

I really like the travel plan they have here at Capital Oaks Retirement Resort, it is the best reason for being here and based on my experience so far I would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

Staff has been quite helpful getting settled, everyone quite friendly and welcoming. What really stood out was that most residents are independent with only some assistance as necessary. Upbeat physical activity by most residents. Friendly atmosphere.(TV & Cable not yet working.)

Emerald Oaks Retirement has been a great place for my dad. He has been there for two months and enjoys living there. He has made friends and is active.

The staff members at The Hudson Meadows Retirement Community is phenomenal. They were pleasant and attentive to everyone's needs. I can't recommend Hudson Meadows highly enough. Great place.

My parents are very happy there. My mom was actually assigned "Ambassador" to welcome new residents and "lookers". Makes her feel special. Everyone is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful when needed.

We moved my 90 year old father there last summer. My mother in law was already living there so we knew what to expect. For the most part, my father enjoyed his time there, unfortunately he recently passed and didn't get to enjoy it for as long as we hoped. While there he did make some new friends, but he also ran into some old acquaintances from his life in East Hartford which was a pleasant surprise. Evergreen Crossing is a nice community with friendly residents. The food is good and the Management and team are super responsive. I will miss going there to visit.
