I really like this facility. I love the way the director runs the facility.

The owner never shows up when things are needed. Ms. [name removed] has to do everything and often has to do it by herself. The washer was broken and the owner expected [name removed] to fix it. She is not responsible for that but [name removed] puts everything on her. It's really sad because [name removed] talks to her and staff disrespectfully often. She overworks her staff and underpays them. It got to a point were I could get trained myself to take care of my dad.

My husband was there 10 days. They did not have enough help. Also my husband got tired of peanut butter sandwiches. I had hired extra caregivers and I think he received more help but that made it more expensive. Respite care is hard to find.

Hi. We were led to believe that they would be getting my father-in-law out of bed and into the main room to watch TV. Instead, since he almost fell the first time, he spent all day in bed. They did give him a TV for his room however.

I had a truly different need than all of the others at the house. The workers there were great but not nearly enough to handle a full house. None of them were nurses (as advertised).

They were not engaged with the patients! They had their family and young kids there. They would leave her sitting in front of the tv and the tv would keep them company. No activities or engaging with client at all.

The care givers are not trained on anything other than changing briefs - cooking -cleaning - my loved one needed much more help because of her immobility and tracheotomy - I believe I was mislead on the trained care they could provide - also it was advertised as 24 hour care - and with only one caregiver (who needed to sleep) this was not the case for many nights - I know because my loved one had issues several nights and I did not leave her until very late at night or early in the morning - and no extra help arrived. Care givers were good and truly cared - but not equipped/trained to handle the type of care my wife needed and one person had trouble in the mornings and evenings handling the amount of patients that needed attention.

I would only recommend placing a loved one here, if you can visit daily and live nearby. The staffing to resident ratio wasn't as good as it could be. The owner isn't always checking to make sure things are running smoothly. They allowed 5 residents in the house, with each having their own room. The food was adequate. I had to keep reminding the community to leave a tv on for my loved one as an activity.

Had a step up shower.....didn't feel like Mom.

I had some positive interactions early on and appreciated the understanding shown during a difficult time. Unfortunately, my overall experience became very concerning. I was repeatedly reassured that my family member was safe, only to learn that critical information had not been shared honestly. This lack of transparency meant medical issues went untreated and preventable harm occurred. A serious injury eventually happened without proper supervision, and I was not notified. I discovered the situation only by visiting in person. The breakdown in communication and accountability permanently affected my loved one's quality of life and ultimately contributed to her passing. Because of these experiences, I cannot recommend them. While there may have been good intentions, the care and oversight fell far short, with heartbreaking consequences.

The management team was friendly until there was a concern, and then the management would change their tune with the family. I wouldn't recommend the community to others, and we wouldn't go back there. This is a clean community though. The food choices were lacking for the residents. I would suggest you ask questions about the 30-day notice.

If you have a loved one needing lots of care keep looking. If you value a clean house look elsewhere. Do visit on a Sunday unannounced. The weekend staff is lazy. My loved one declined after one week there. We moved her as soon as we could. This is partly the fault of a place for mom. This place wasn't properly vetted.

Let me say that I am a nurse and was really fooled when I first looked at this small personal care home in a residential area. I think that the stress of trying to find an affordable place for my mom within striking distance of my house, coupled with a friendly employee, gave me hope that I was making a good decision. Within 24 hours l knew I had to find another place. Once I removed my mother, I called A Place for Mom and warned them that the quality of care was dangerous and staff could not follow simple instructions regarding taking blood pressure before giving meds and other things. I spent the night there to be sure my mom remained safe until I was able to move her. I TOLD your organization in a telephone call that this place should NOT be recommended until being audited properly. I even went online and posted what kind of our care my mom received and warned others to exercise caution. Food was substandard, dry rice crispy cereal put in a blender with milk and called breakfast?? There were no activities for the other 2 residents who sat in the recliner all day and watched TV. Meals were simple, like a plain sandwich and chips. I actually observed the care given to another patient and was distressed to watch him be offered liquids to drink while lying flat in his back when the HOB could have been elevated...My mom went to a great place after this in part due to the hello of the hospice nurse who guided me to another place nearby that was HEAVEN compared to the other

Disappointing environment; untrained staff, left after one week.

The owners did not notify our family when the manager left on medical leave. The staff they do have working there are not qualified to care for the residents. They do not tend to them, when we come and visit we would find out loved one outside all alone in the Texas heat. It was all around very questionable care.

0 on all items other than cleanliness. Facility was clean. Not uncle. I cannot possible list all the complaints that not only i have but the other visitors to him voiced to me. This place should only deal with bedridden, non communicative residents with no visitors or family. That way they (caregiver and family) can live the lifestyle they have established for themselves.
