We chose Elmcroft of Loyalsock because we were in a situation where we had to find a facility very quickly, as soon as we walked in it was so clean and the staff were super friendly towards us. My mom has never mentioned wanting to come home since being there, so I give them a lot of props for making her feel safe and at home. They have 2 house cats and I really like that. A lot of the apartments look over courtyard and I think that is great for residents who are coming from living at home with a backyard. They do also provide free shuttle services for traveling within 20 miles. I cannot say enough good about them and would definitely recommend them.

It's the best place to go for respite care. I love the whole atmosphere, the friendliness, the warm welcome. My dad is getting ready to go again to visit in the near future. The living spaces are big, with plenty of room. Dad said he was very impressed with the care he received. He met a bunch of friends there and had a lot of people to talk to, including a lot of military people. And he's looking forward to talking to them again. The only problem I foresee is when we picked up his bags, they said everything was in there, but his diabetic insulin pen was not there. And they couldn't seem to find it. So they took a bit of a downfall in my eyes because that's expensive,and he needs that. So that's something I will keep an eye on this time for sure. This community was comparable to the community that we are at now. The other community just had more services that worked for my loved one.

I think it's perfect for my family. They are very plain, down-to-earth people. We visited some other facilities where women were dressed nicely for meals, and that is just not my loved ones. For them, this has been a perfect match. The apartment is fine, relatively small but bigger with more light than others that we saw at other places. I had great interactions with the staff through the move-in process. I was very impressed with them. They were accommodating, patient, and friendly. My loved ones love the food here and are very happy with it.

I chose University Pines because of the apartment that I was able to obtain, there is a lot of natural light and that was important to me. They do have a variety of different apartment sizes to choose from. I also chose it because I felt it was a better value for the money. The facility is in a very good location, close to the hospital, a very nice super market, and close to shopping. They have transportation available as well. I would recommend to others who are looking.

Our experience so far has been excellent. Sometimes at the end of the hallways it looks a little dusty, but overall the community is very, very clean. The staff members are super friendly. At first our loved one said the meals were excellent, but now there is a pretty lengthy sit time. Our mother can't go down and grab a quick breakfast. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes to an hour to get your meal. When we do come visit, the board that shows all their activities looks fantastic. They have Wii bowling, and church services.

This community was too far away from us. However, it was our second choice, a lot of remodeled rooms, just a different crowd than what I was looking for for my loved one.

The big selling point for our family is that Atria sits right on the water, and it is gorgeous. It is expensive but they are doing such an amazing job that the value is priceless. Our loved one has actually taken over the activities which is great to hear and they community is so open to adding and incorporating new activities.

We chose Atria because I needed respite care for 2 weeks and they were able to provide that. We were very happy with her stay here. It is beautiful facility and gives you a good feeling right when you walk in. She was happy with the food and they had a calendar full of activities provided. I would definitely recommend.

I am very happy with the staff caring for my Mom at ICH. The Director of the facility is very hands on and extremely responsive. My questions and concerns are addressed quickly and to my satisfaction. They are always open for suggestions! The ICH staff is an extension of our family. They love my Mom also, which provides a level of comfort needed during these stressful times. My Mom feels, safe, loved and happy. May blessings continue to flow for my Mom and the ICH staff! I have recommended this facility to many friends and family members in the area that have seniors needing loving care in an assisted living facility.

I'm very happy here. The staff knows everybody, and everyone is very friendly. There are no reserve spots for meals and you're able to sit anywhere you would like. The community is receptive to recommendations from the residents. There are lots of activities and a new activities director. The community allows pets.

I feel blessed to be here in a safe place. The staff from the top down are pleasant and efficient.

Everyone has been very helpful despite that they have been understaffed.

The staff members were very very helpful and kind to our loved one during her stay, unfortunately our loved one needed more care so we had to move her but the nursing team would call all the time with updates regarding our loved one which we really appreciated. Brookdale seemed to hire really good and qualified people, and their rehab center was much better than the actual rehab center our loved one had to go to for awhile. The staff here deserve all the compliments for their amazing work. The facilities, surroundings and apartments were very very nice, extremely clean and well taken care of. We were very impressed and when the time comes I would not mind moving here myself. The social activities were wonderful, and when you walked into the main lobby it was like walking into a resort hotel, everything was decorated so beautifully. The value for cost was within reason, and their top priority was keeping the residents safe, and keep them healthy.

We chose Elmcroft of Altoona because we did a lot of research and it came down to what we were getting for the amount of money that we would be paying. It is a very nice facility, a lot of our relatives who went to visit her, that was their first comment about how nice it was compared to other places that they have been at. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We are enjoying the routine our loved ones are in as well as getting the three meals a day. The staff are very attentive and have been great communicating with me especially since I live out of state. Also the sales director has just been amazing, we cannot say enough good things about her.
