Pinnacle Senior Living

I like everything pretty good. The people are very nice, but I think at times the staff that takes care of my wife they’re very nice and they contact the doctor at certain times for things. The food is very good. They activities are okay, but nothing special. There is enough parking. This is my first time using a community like this.

Having heard from 2 different friends about Sterling House of Neenah, I expected this home to be pretty good. and It was. My father arrived with need for serious help and the first week was a lesson for our family and for dad. The staff helped us through a very difficult first week. Things seem to be getting better, but we are not out of the woods. yet.

I would only say check the age of the person before you have them drop their doctor, and take the one at the community. They don't accecpt our insurance, and our loved one isn't Medicare age yet. That really has been the only issue. The people are nice and the place is very clean. They have a lot of activities and they seem to be quick to respond if there is a need. The food is ok depending on who's cooking and what day it is.

So far, we are pleased with Willow Creek. The staff are all very friendly, and the facility is very clean. We really liked the facility the best out of the other options, and the location was a plus as well! My mom is happy with the food, and we are happy with the place!

For the price they charge, the rooms seem too small. There's room for some furniture, but the rooms are too small for two people - especially the bathrooms. The food is very good though, and we would give it a 5! We really liked this place because it's small and we were very impressed with Sharon Crowe. She's a very nice and caring lady, and we are still impressed with her to this day!

Overall I would say that they are very corporate, and you can tell they are very corporate. They try very hard, but it's obvious that they are employees trying very hard. They nitpick and charge for every little thing. They do have a big advantage because they have progressive care. However even with the progressive care you still have to move. If you are in independent living and you have to go to assisted living you have to change rooms and move, If you are elderly moving across the street or across town, it's still a move.

It's working out really well. It's really clean, and the people are very friendly. I feel like the food could be improved. It's ok but not great. The response time is a little slow at time. He likes that he has an outdoor entrance, so it doesn't feel like a hotel room. He is really making friends and starting to get involved.

Liked the facility very much. Warm welcoming staff. Clean. Nicely contained. Different levels of care.

After searching a number of care homes, we decided on Lo Har Gardens. This is a small community with a very caring staff. My mother in Law who has dementia as well as Parkinson's disease has settled in very well, and seems to be very happy. The home is no more than 15 minutes away from all her family, so she gets plenty of visiters. The staff are very caring, and take very good care of her. We are very pleased with the facility, and would have no problem in recommending it to anyone who wants information.

Great place, friendly staff!

Facility was fairly clean. Staff was friendly. Jill was slightly delayed in arriving at the facility but Garri (front desk) was kind enough to give me a tour. Smaller facility. Well set-up U-shape. Memory care separate but very well set-up. Jill was able to provide me information on a Veteran's Assistance program that appears could be very helpful. Location secluded but appears to be very secure.

It's fine, it works for us. People are different so some of the staff are friendlier than others. I can't really rate value, I don't feel it's a fair question. We are also not in a position to use the activities so that is another area that cannot be rated. The food varies based on who is cooking it.

They could always have another aide. It seems like there could always be more help, I think they do the best they can with what they have. They are very concientious. It fit my need of advanced alzheimers care without going to a nursing home. All in all they are doing a good job.

We liked, but they didn't have anything available. It was our second choice. I didn't like that they had a pool because my mother couldn't swim at all, but did like that place. We contacted when we were ready to move, and it's unfortunate that they were full. We didn't like the building as much - it had a 50's or 60 apartment type look. Not a bad thing, it looked surprisingly nicer inside than outside. Outside looked like a regular old apartment.

Moving in was smooth and the transition was easier than I expected. The staff was very helpful, always cheerful and there to get mom acquainted with her new surroundings. This is a good fit for mom and she seems to be comfortable. A truly wonderful place to have available to properly care for mom. Thank you!

Needed a place that was single story and had staff 24/7 for Mom. Was living in too much house, too often by herself. This place was recommended by "A Place for Mom" and my sister knew of it as it was nearby to her house. My Mom visited and found the place acceptable and the staff very friendly and helpful. She is still adjusting to living around people her own age (she insists they are all older than her). She is gradually settling in and realizing that these people are her generation and since it is an assisted living facility and not a convalescent or rehabilitation facility, the residents are more like her than not.

I'm not even here 3 months but the place itself is doing quite well. They're good to me, I'm the type of person where I do as much as I can, but phsycially I can't do what I did when I was 35, if I need something I call them up and it gets taken care of. The manager in this particular area said that they would help me hang some of my heavier pictures and the guys came in to do it. They're good here and their price is reasonable from what I have seen, this pretty much fits what I need. I'ts good food, this is not exactly the fanciest place like Paris or New York City, but the food is good and it's always there so to speak. Lunch, half the time I don't eat it, after a good breakfast I'm not too hungry but dinner is good. If anything, this place will get better the longer I'm here. This morning I took a scheduled but trip into town to Walmart; they take you there and tell you want time they'll be leaving (they give you a weekly schedule) and then they bring people back in 2 shifts, the drivers themselves actually know most of the people who go on these trips so no one gets left behind. There's some minor things, but there's no big things. It looks like managements taken care of it, they had some problems in the dining room with the slowness of food being served and some things not being in stock that are on the menu, then the director of food services resigned so they took care of that. They have those alert buttons in the bathroom and on the wall above the bed and they ask that when you wake up to push it so they know you're up and about. I accidentaly pressed the one in the bathroom and withing 5 minutes a man on the night shift came in to check on me, it's good to know that it's there.

We like it. My parents are very happy and they're doing a good job taking care of them. They gave us a really good deal so the value is great! The care is really good. I don't know if they have that many activities. My parents are in memory care so they don't do much. I think that is the one way they could improve - maybe they could have more activities for the memory care portion. Other than that, I think it's great. We're very happy with it.

also nice bright rooms - make sure of getting pvt room. other areas decorated nicely. Only slightly concerned about nearby airport.

They have a lot of activities but the rooms are smaller so it's a trade off. They were not bad. It was an older style building, more like hotel or a house back east somewhere. It had the darker wood and hardwood floors but it was a little more stark - no art or anything hanging on the walls. There were lots of activities going on. They have like an activity room but it didn't have the same feel that my mom wanted. It's hard to tell just from a visit. they have a swimming pool which is great for people who do water aerobics but my mom is afraid of the water so that wouldn't do her any good. The facility was wonderful and the people were wonderful but it just wasn't the place for my mom.
