I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

Much improved since new ownership and new executive director. Very responsive to my mother's needs so far. She lived in Independent Living (the Cottages) & now is in the Assisted Living in the Manor house. I like that the residents are treated with the respect they deserve as adults, nobody wants to be treated like a child. The main suggestion I would make is that they need to have a system in place for when a resident moves in and out of units. They need to have checklists to ensure everything is prepared for a resident in a unit before they move in. Nearly everything is included in the rent.

We are pleased with our experience with Southern Plantation, they do a great job looking after my loved one. The facility is nice looking, clean, and well kept, and the staff is friendly and professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking into senior care in the area.

We toured this facility while looking into care options for a loved one. Atria Johnson Ferry seemed like a very nice place overall, and was definitely somewhere we were considering for our loved one. It's a nice looking place, and the staff were friendly and professional. One thing I would have liked to see here was a little better integration of the memory care and assisted living portions. My loved one has a few memory issues but not enough to need memory care, and there were no memory care type activities that would have been available to her in assisted living.

A very friendly staff. My mom was a bit younger than the population and longed for outings and younger companions. But 10 years from now I would take her back. 62 moderate dementia.

I think they are very nice. Its very clean. I haven't met the doctor. I left messages but they never called me back. Everything is a little chaotic this month. The communication is my only issue. They should have a shift report. I've had this issue at another place. Overall, I think it will be a nice place and everything will work out. The friendliness and caring is there but I think they just have a lack communication.

I think they are doing pretty good. There have been a few little things that have come up, but so far we haven't had any major complaints. So far things are working out.

My Mom fell soon after moving in. She was transported to another community for rehab. The overall care was good however her care rate was raised when she returned. The experience has been good since the community was clean and friendly and the value was good. The care services were outstanding. Mom is just starting to recover and is anxious to take part in the activities available.

This is a great place to live and work it's s clean and safe environment. I've seen other facilities but overall this is one of the best. The residents are always well taken care of by staff.

So far it's going pretty good. It's clean, and everyone is real nice and cordial. The food is good, she likes that. They do activities and things. So far I haven't had any issues. It's still such a new transition, but so far, so good.

So far everything seems to be going well here! My loved one already had a few friends here when she moved in, and she says that the atmosphere has been very calming. She really seems to enjoy it here, I haven't heard any complaints!

I like the interaction that they have with my mom at Chateau Vestavia Retirement. They keep her very involved and engaged which means a lot to me and helps her out a lot. It's a very nice place with friendly staff, and one I would certainly recommend.

My mother was able to participate in the selection of Remington. This was partially based on her experience of having lived in their Independent Living facility 4 years prior as well as the accommodation of her beloved cat in the Assisted Living section. I was pleased with my Mom's choice mostly because of the early interactions I had with the Head Nurse, Anita during the interview process. She is a gift to that community! The only disappointments I have had is they did a room assignment switch from the one I was shown before move-in, but that subsequently got rectified upon our request. Also, although we were advised that this "might" be the case, we are paying much more for her level of care than anticipated. However, we made the financial adjustment because we feel this is a good placement for her at this time of her life.

The one area I can think of that they can improve on is their meals. The meals often sound good but don't taste as good when we get it. Very clean and friendly place.

My experience with Morningside of Bowling Green has been great. The staff is friendly, and casing. I wouldn't ask for anything better.

Nice facility. Meals good quality and adequate. Generally friendly. Most staff adequate, some untrained.

Overall I thought things went very well here! The staff were all very friendly, very caring, and did a great job handling the memory care residents. They keep everyone calm and relaxed, and are very responsive to any situations that come up. The one area I think they could do better in would be to have more activities specifically aimed at their memory care patients.
